Double-O Hog
By Dianacat777

Suave hoofsteps clop toward the table;
The gazes lift, all glaring daggers.
A tuxedo covers golden fur,
Which ripples in tune with his swagger.

He slides himself into the chair
And grins a knowing grin.
With a flip he fans his cards;
Likewise, the game begins.

Branston, Brucey, Timmy, and Hog
Converge for a game of
Cheat!,
But rest assured, this Double-o
Is one tough Hog to beat!

From behind his shades, sharp eyes wander,
Observing every clue;
A sheen of sweat, a twitching claw
Will serve as any cheater's rue.

Adroitly he plays the cards,
Weaving hidden lies.
He's a gambler, yes, this Agent is,
But not one for the die.

His hand dwindles down, while others grow,
Until there's naught but one.
"One seven," he calls and lays it down,
And thus the game is done.

Some say that Spectre rules the roost,
But I think that they should know
When it comes down to it, there's none as good
As Agent Double-O!

How to Be One Day Late for Moehog Day
By Agedbeauty

If your aim is a poem for Moehog Day,
Then it's best to write one without delay.
Watch the calendar with great care,
And surely your poem will go up there.

However, if you want to be just one day late,
Then it's best to strike out that calendar date.
There are others things to do with that time,
Instead of fine-tuning your Moehog rhyme.

You can book your pets for a Neolodge stay,
Or watch Poogle Races as they race away.
You can play a quick game of Ultimate Bullseye,
Or feed a Kadoatie so that it won't cry.

You can read the new entry in the STC,
Or submit a caption for this week's entry.
You can draw for the Art Gallery, or even the BC --
Or head to the Soup Kitchen to eat for free.

The one thing that you simply can't do,
If being one day late is the goal for you:
Don't write your poem and send it post-haste,
Or all of your effort will go to waste!

So write your poem and write it well,
And remember this secret that I tell:
Unless you want your efforts to be foolhardy,
Wait a bit longer so you know you'll be tardy.

Or perhaps like this author, you'll simply be slow
And miss Moehog Day because you didn't know
That Moehog festivities would be posted Thursday.
That's OK, I'll save my poem for next Moehog Day!

Wild and Free
By Jjquil

Fear our mighty spikes and claws!
Our leathery hides and calloused paws!
We are Tyrannian! We are beasts!
We climb, we jump, we fight, we feast!

Tyrammet Village is our home!
To find a challenge, we will roam!
Brawn over brains is our creed!
We brawl, we roar, we war, we feed!

You think we ancients can't have fun?
We Chia Bomb and Volcano Run!
We gnaw through bones! Destruct-o stones!
We blast, we swoop, we crash, we groan!

We Tyrannians like things loud!
Our Concert Hall draws quite the crowd!
You might visit to watch a show --
But we stomp, we shriek, we leap, we throw!

Fierce and proud, we're tough as nails --
With shaggy hair or hard-shelled scales!
Think you can romp, and shed your mild?
Then fight and bay and fly -- go wild!

The Negg Festival
By Greenglitter

It has finally come
and passed.

The Negg Festival strode in,
with Kari asking for help,
but departed in a hurry,
as the scavenger hunt bundled up.

Unable to reach five million Neggs,
Neopians weeped at the sight --
in return for their help,
what did we get?

Dung pizza, oh what a beautiful delight!
It'll make your tongue sizzle.
Who knows if next year we'll make it,
but I don't want to see another dung item!

What Was It Called?
By Angel_star7

What was it called when the faeries were stone?
When they were not in flesh nor in bone?
As still as possible with no movements done,
But was that day the only one?

What was it called when the heroes came together?
Telling stories and accusing one another.
Examining the ice-cold hearts of friends,
Soon, before then, the heroes' lives would mend.

What was it called when that one was accused?
Then did escape and his name was misused?
Then the wraiths came and everything changed,
With Faerieland falling with only one to blame.

What was it called when two heroes had to look?
And then the shadows attacked and he had a book?
Captured in the caves with the tentacle scare,
Then make a wand and escape from unknown lair.

What was it called when they came to the ruins?
To find the artefact from the shadowy loons,
Escaped back to the heroes without a scratch.
Still, I don't know, what was that?

What was it called when they went to the field?
We helped with the spells and put up the shields.
And we gasped at awe to see evil won:
Faerieland was crashing... feet above ground: 1.

What was it called when the two made the deal?
The betrayal of a girl's words to hear.
Then out of shock he turned his back,
Throwing the last chance of his life: artefact.

What was it called when the Kougra was crying?
Two others stone and everything wasn't dying?
And finally, the time came as the faerie healed,
As the heroes walked off, as one was concealed.

Wait, it's all clear to me now!
Hanso, Brynn, Altador, and Jazan!
The heroes must have been proud!
The heroes and villains and the giant brawl!
And... Xandra was the one to make Faerieland fall!

What was it called, though... all those times?
It was never forgotten; it will stay in our minds.
Four words will always be thought; it was called: The Faeries' Ruin Plot
