Illusen Day Special

Deep in the Glade
by midnightsmores

Deep in the Glade near Meridell Castle
Lives a beautiful Earth faerie that is quite gracile

Dawning a dress green like the trees
And auburn hair blowing in the breeze

Illusen is the Earth Faerie, kind and sweet
She is a Faerie it would be a pleasure to meet

Offering quests for which she rewards
Helping her out is quite never a bore

Friends with all, Jhudora excluded
Not a fault of Illusen, so it's been alluded

Illusen hands out Neopoints and always tries to help
Celebrate Illusen Day by taking her out to Kelp!

Vadellen has her back, and we all should too!
Illusen's good attitude will never have you feeling blue

Happy Illusen to all, especially this Earth Faerie
Complete her quests, snack on cookies, and be merry!

A Colourful Illusen Day
by milestrong

The land is lovely, earthen; green,
The day is peaceful; quite the scene,
Within her glade she stays unseen,
Relaxing in her home; serene.

The sky is sunny, bright and blue,
The sun gives off a vibrant hue,
The grass is wet with morning dew,
It truly is a stunning view

Her hair is long and flowing; brown,
It glimmers as she lets it down,
She dons her light and leafy gown,
Truly worthy of her renown

The air is flowing, breezy; white,
Illusen smiles a smile so bright,
Today's her day; the night's her night,
She'll always be our guiding light

Illusen, most generous of all Faeries!
by _sahne_

Oh Illusen, good soul of a Faerie.
You're so kind hearted, generous and merry.
I'm always excited when I see you around,
and not Jhudora... but that's an old wound.

Illusen, I'm curious about your most difficult task,
there's no item in Neopia which for you cannot ask!
This makes the searches for you extremely challenging,
though that's nothing compared to Jhudoras', those are frightening.

I'm confident that one day, I'll reach level 50:
With more practice, I should become more nifty.
By now I never got there, but I promise, I try,
as I'm really wanting your powerful Staff, oh my!

But at first, thank you for the Honey Potion,
I told my Poogle to handle it with caution!
He's overly proud about his new yellow treasure,
oh, completing your quests is often a pleasure!

Illusen, I hope you'll have a great celebration today,
and believe me, whatever Jhudora may say:
You're the Faerie of hearts, our good spirit...
so please bear with me, I think I'll need another minute!

Poem for a Quest
by jackie247

Illusen asked me to do a quest
She’ll reward me if I do my best

I have to make it back in time
Or she will say, “Oh, nevermind!”

What could she ask for today?
I better get moving and be on my way

It gets more expensive as her quests proceed
But I’ve got Neopoints to spend on these

She wants me to run as quick as can be
But I like to take my time you see

That was a close one - I almost didn’t beat the clock
But I’ll be back tomorrow to see what’s in stock

The Herbologist of Neopia
by petpower14156

When I consider the world of Neopia,
Its varied lands and strange new spaces,
I can’t help admiring the glen of Illusen,
Who fills up her life with nature’s best creations.

She embodies the best traits of any herbologist,
Studying plants- their mysterious properties.
Cracking the secrets hidden in the sweet face of flowers
And cultivating healing and beauty together.

The sweetest aromas may mask deadly poisons
While scraggly roots hold the power to save lives.
Do not judge by the cover, for nature may fool you
And strict methodology is needed to unearth the facts.

For nature is slow to give up her great secrets
Possible powers must be slowly teased out.
Will healing essence wane with abundance of sunshine?
Will nitrogenous soil bring out coveted power?

For nature plays games, a truth Illusen knows well
She joins it in dance, give a little, take a little
And in this way the answers are slowly laid in her path.
Appease nature and receive great knowledge in return.

The quiet, often undervalued power of nature
Has the slow, steady power to shape the whole world.
Its humble presentation masks astronomical force
A force that Illusen is learning to tap.

The Glade
by valethra

You are still young enough to believe wholeheartedly in your own abilities when curiosity brings you to the edge of the Lightwater Forest, in search of a place that few are able to find.

Thickets like walls of green and ivy-like imprisonment chains hide the noble woods from view, the scent of stewed meat a thick cloud in the air and a barrier of boulders a protective wall that bars this place from the quaint cobbled paths of Meridell.

Your approach is lined with sunset flowers— pink and yellow and orange like the paintings in the early evening— and trees that tower towards the blinding sky, grass a lush carpet beneath your feet.

The faerie Illusen waits there, in the light-drenched clearing at the heart of the glade, upon a throne of foliage and branches formed by happenstance and time. Her wings are like the leaves of an Eesa tree, her freckles like sunspots, and her smile more radiant than the locals had warned you it could be.

How could you refuse her requests?

She wants trinkets and souvenirs that range wildly in their value and you can’t imagine what a faerie would want with common baubles such as these. She gifts you with baked goods and beauty products and magical items that she’s crafted here with her own hands. And as you trade these items again and again, visiting her home each and every day, you feel something like a bond forming.

Before you know it, you’ve made friends with a faerie.

Villanelle to Illusen
by actiontal

Purple stepping in time with Jade
Two faeries apart from the rest
Green magic would refuse to fade

Jhudora's crime from heart decayed
Illusen never to confess
Laying roots in a boundless glade

Faerieland homes they both would trade
Jhudora's wrong, never addressed
Green magic would refuse to fade

Illusen chose earth, clouds evade
Each on an isolated quest
Laying roots in a boundless glade

Near a castle providing aid
Meridell be evermore blessed
Green magic would refuse to fade

Perse clouds can't rain on her parade
Verdant garden time had recessed
Green magic would refuse to fade
Laying roots in a boundless glade

Illusen
by the_elfy

Guardian of the forest glade,
protector, saviour, champion.
Protector of the weak,
saviour of the broken,
champion of the strong.
She who gives good to evil,
life to death,
light to darkness,
love to the forsaken.
She who fights an endless fight,
a ceaseless dance,
locked in an eternal battle
twirling and noble
hands entwined
around each others' heart.

Illusen, giver of life
by liumai

Far away in Meridell she lives,
Illusen, who creates and gives,
life and beauty in Neopia everywhere!
Sunlight’s catching her green and auburn hair.

The whole day in her garden she could spend,
tendering, caring for, grooming, watering her plants to no end,
for her the sun will always shine,
it’ll help the plants to intertwine.

Love is all Illusen knows,
love is all her plants need to grow,
but if there’s one thing she cannot stand,
is if faeries don’t go hand in hand!

Where there’s light will also always be shadow,
Things can grow, but also go!
So, lots of love for Illusen’s garden!
but for Jhudora, no, there’s no pardon!

Jhudora is just to be mentioned short,
since, somehow, she is a part
of Illusen, whether if she likes it or not,
opposites are connected to each other somewhat!

Let us celebrate this day,
our beloved Illusen we all find so great!
And let us see whether today,
Jhudora will participate?

the glade
by neur0nerd

through the forest dense and vast
and 'round the final bend at last
the tall trees part before a hut
with fire blazing, front door shut
you gently knock upon the door
to meet the fae from ancient lore

before your heartbeat even slows
your eyes find freckle-spattered nose
and flaming hair and wings of leaves
and mossy growths on tattered sleeves
she welcomes you inside her home
a cheerful shack that smells of loam

Illusen turns to you and asks
if you too seek her arcane tasks
you stoically accept her quest
intent to shine above the rest
but her smile twists into a pout
as she abruptly throws you out

"I smell jhudora on your fur
and cannot trust a friend of her
our battle is no simple row
I have no quest for you right now
begone from here at once, I say!
perhaps return some future day

for there's a chance that if you do
i may just find a quest for you"
