The Lost Desert
By Brilliance109p
Desert sands, an ancient tune,
Rustic charms and art,
Sunfilled skies, a ghastly moon,
Lost deep within my heart.
Pyramids and songful sounds
Are hidden faraway,
Footsteps tread these long-lost grounds
Unto this distant day.
Whispers ring inside your ears,
Drumbeats in your mind,
Something in this humid air
Is leaving you behind.
Lost and found and lost again,
Beneath the blinding beams,
Never see the drops of rain,
On this forgotten dream.

Two Young Pirates
By Exequy
The sun melts on the horizon,
Spilling rays on sea and shore,
The summer silence broken,
Shattered by a roar.
"Arr, ye scalawag!"
A Kougra tries to shout
But choked with laughter and a smile
Only "arr" comes out.
"Cap'n Kougra, walk the plank!"
A Lenny tries to say,
But it's too hard to be a pirate
When all it is is play.
"Never!" yells the Kougra,
"Thou shalt never win!"
The Lenny quickly answers:
"Ye better think again!"
Night is quick to steal the sky
As laughter soon ensues.
"My darling, it's now bedtime!"
A Kougra mother coos.
"Aw, but Mom!" he whines.
"It's bedtime," she replies.
She motions toward the Neohome,
Ignoring all his cries.
Slowly he puts down his sword,
Waving a good-bye,
But tomorrow they shall laugh again
Beneath a morning sky.

Speak Not Her Name
By Jennythegreat
Amidst the bright white Faerieland clouds
There is a place dark as a shroud
A lonely, vacuous, morose space
Which seems distinctly out of place.
It's here, in clouds purple and grim
That thunderstorms are born, and winds
Of wicked strength and moaning cries.
Here evil lurks in faerie guise.
Beware her flashing, evil eyes.
You know her name, but speak it not,
For those who have, Time has forgot.
Her minions wander vacant eyed,
Gibbering, trying to provide
Their Mistress with the things she seeks.
They know they must, they've heard the shrieks.
And if you happen on her lair
And speak her name, oh then, beware!
In green and purple mists she'll come
And to her powers you'll succumb,
No more to be the child you were--
Now all you are and own is hers
Unless some miracle occurs...

Awaiting the Krawk
By Kushbi
"When the moon grows large and round,
I will return to shore,
Bearing gifts from faraway,
Treasures not seen before.
Last voyage for me, a Krawk,
I've sailed for much too long.
Should be spending time," he said,
"At home with friends adored."
"But just one trip to there and back,
A land I must explore,
Think of all the strange new things,
I'll bring home some and more!
Within a fortnight, I will dock,"
He promised with a grin,
"Wait for me at harbour's front,
Welcome me with a din!"
Thus we did and still we do,
Though countless nights have passed,
His vow rings brightly in our ears,
So hope lives in our hearts.

Elegy of the Court Dancer
By Thecatgirlforever
A twirling, waltzing wanderer,
Her emerald eyes ablaze.
As tender smile lures her prey,
Enchants them with her gaze.
The daughter of a fiendish hag,
She rarely takes a chance.
But when she cast her darkest spell
Someone surpassed the trance.
Scorned by their contemptuous glares,
She begged for sympathy,
But found none in their raging hearts,
Despite her woeful plea.
Now banished from fair Meridell,
The dancer hides away,
Awaiting that most faithful hour
When again she shall betray.
