FLOTSAM DAY SPECIAL

Flotsam Day Party
By 2scrumtious4u

Flotsams here,
Flotsams there,
Flotsams swimming everywhere.

In the ocean,
In the sea,
Just so happy as can be.

They make a splish,
They make a splash,
Its the Flotsam party bash.

Flotsams laughing,
Having fun,
They are dancing in the sun.

Don't you worry,
We've just begun,
There is room for everyone.

Hip hip, hip hip,
Hip hurray!!
Today, of course, is Flotsam Day!!

The Coming of the Wild Flotsams
By Thisisincrediblydumb

Waves crashed angrily against the shore,
Making all wonder if there would be any more
Than just a few Flotsams coming to celebrate,
Or if the parties would just have to wait.

A group of watchers stood on a ledge,
Perched precariously on the water's edge.
They watched and waited all that night,
But never saw the much desired sight.

Then from the water a head arose,
Waking those who had begun to doze.
It was purple and sleek, it had a horn,
It rose up in the early morn.

Hundreds more came, and they paid no heed
To the stomy ocean -- there was no need.
They easily swam through the titanic waves,
For they longed for the fun that everyone craves.

When on the beach, the Flotsams parted
To go to celebrations that just then started.
Long after dark, bells were still chiming: ding!
And in the morn the larks will surely sing:

Flotsam day is over,
The Flotsams are eating clover,
But soon they will leave,
And many will grieve,
For Flotsam day is over.

A Flotsam Dawn
By Driftingontheocean

The ocean swells in solitude,
Beneath the melancholy moon,
Which hangs aloof, its milky gaze,
Lighting up the frothing waves,
That swish and slip and slide away,
Into the blue black night.

A Flotsam swims concealed below,
Beneath the waves that ebb and flow,
Watching starfish as they shiver,
Slowly like a shadow quiver
Softly on the ocean floor.

He knows not why the night is cold,
Why stars once bright have now grown old,
And fallen flitting from the sky,
Like teardrops from a lonely eye,
Which watches sadly over him,
As he continues on to swim
Into the blue black night.

Yet swiftly as a swallow flies
Into a sapphire coated sky,
The Flotsam sees it suddenly,
And greets it with felicity:
A light is rising in the East,
Above the icy waters deep,
An amber golden orange gleam,
A sparkling, shining, crimson beam,
That warms the cold and blue black night,
And fills the Flotsam with delight:

He Jumps!
He Leaps!
He Flits!
He Flies!
He tries his best to reach the skies!

Then falling, floating back between,
The sheets of turquoise still it seems,
The advent of the day has come,
And melancholy tunes are gone.

Flotsam Wishes
By Kougrasrule27

Circle round the fire, friends,
Let us go to the time where we first began.
Wish softly, wish loud,
But be heard, be proud.

Join fins, and chant,
Please these wishes grant.
Wish with all your heart and soul,
Everyone please be bold.

Now stand up and grasp
Your fresh new wishing mask.
Slowly place it on the ground,
Then stay still; don't make a sound.

Now dance around the fire and pass
Around your wishing mask.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, STOP!
This is the plan,
Read the wish inside the mask in your hand.

Now wish wish all your heart again,
That their wish will come true when,
The sun rises in the new morn,
Then hope their wish will be born.

Now run along, my Flotsam friends,
Come tomorrow and we will wish again.

Flotsam Day
By Brooklyn_baby37

As the sun goes down,
And as the tide gets high,
Flotsams swim
Under the dark blue sky.

They come to gather
In the deep depths of the sea,
And tell old stories
Of how life use to be.

They tell stories of their King,
Who had a ton of power,
Who sat on his throne
In his tall stone tower.

As some Flotsams tell stories,
Others play chess 'til late,
That's what makes
Flotsam Day so great!
