Grarrl Day Special
My Hungry Grarrl
by vinnicbat
My hungry Grarrl, everyday
eating everything I have
From shoes and sock and t-shirts,
to petpets and pencils and staffs.
That gross food is disgusting,
so stinky and so smelly.
I can't believe you ate it
right down into your belly.
I was going to paint you in
that gold colour you look best,
But now the brush is down the hatch
and waiting to digest.
I was trying to equip you
with a new shield and sword
But now it's gone and disappeared
and a new one I can't afford.
My hungry Grarrl eats
his three meals everyday,
but eats some extra snacks
to my deep dismay.

Hooray, It's Grarrl Day!
by voiceprint
An ancient creature,
Ferocious and fierce.
Sharp teeth I feature,
With a loud rawr that will pierce!
An unending appetite,
Evening eating your expensive potions,
And I cause quite a fright
And scare others into commotion.
At least that’s what people think of me.
Please, though, don’t be afraid!
If only you knew, I’d guarantee
What great friends we could actually be!
I just want to be your loving Neopet,
A faithful companion,
The cuddliest T-Rex you could ever imagine!
If you gave me a chance who knows what could happen?
We could frolic through Neopia,
Exploring all day.
And we could generate new ideas
Of games we could play!
I know I look scary,
But there’s no need to be wary!
So won’t you join me in saying “Hooray!”
And celebrating this wonderful Grarrl Day?

What does the Grarrl say?
by kayahtik
All our pets are so unique,
But do you know how they speak?
Different sounds, one and all
But perhaps the very best call…
A Grarrl’s roar will strike fear
In the hearts of anyone near.
It will ring throughout the air,
Always asking, “Who goes there?”
Scary as this growl can be,
Grarrls think only of you and me.
They protect those who give them care,
Roaring love and safety through the air.
Next time you hear a Grarrl’s sound,
Don’t be afraid to hang around.
Just be polite and say, “Hi,”
“I love you too, you big, big guy!”
Grarrl will smile and show their teeth,
But you’ll see the love tucked beneath.
Together now, let us say,
“Have a roarin’ Grarrl Day!”

Grarrl Day
by leonnew
Hip hip hooray,
It's finally Grarrl Day!
There's no need to wait,
All day we can celebrate.
We must also not forget,
To give a hug to our dearest pet.
Giving a present can today,
Tomorrow Grarrl Day will be away.
Don't be such a fool,
Give your Grarrl something cool.
All day we must cheer,
Because Grarrl Day is only once a year.
Hooray hooray hooray,
Happy Grarrl Day!

Grarrl Keno: An Intriguing Game of Chance
by _brainchild_
Grarrl Keno is a game so strange;
Of luck you might have doubts.
Will a big win be in range?
You'll just have to find out!
Predict which eggs will hatch into
Grarrl babies oh so cute.
Matching eggs of souls anew
May net you lots of loot!
However, if your guess is wrong,
You'll lose all of your bet.
The frown on my face is quite long,
Since I haven't won yet!
You might just score an avatar
Which will bring you great glee.
It shines just like a shooting star.
If you get it, show me!
Will you risk points so hard-earned?
The choice is up to you.
You may score gold for which you've yearned,
Or maybe you'll feel blue.

Food for Grarrls
by dr_tomoe
Grarrl Day is upon us
and to get in the mood
for a Grarrl Day celebration
make sure to have the right food
Anything tough and firm
or soft like jelly
will be excellent meal
for your Grarrl's belly.
They enjoy sweet foods
or ones with a spicy kick
Bitter foods they enjoy
more than a bit.
So bring a cake for Grarrl Day
they'll be sure to eat it all
whether it's covered in frosting
for juicy, meaty meatballs.
Or perhaps a sandwhich is nice
a BLT or a sub
or even the spiky taste of
A Bony Grarrl Club
It doesn't matter if it's
trash or a spicy wing
when it comes to food for Grarrl's
they will eat everything.

The Other Storyteller (for Grarrl Day)
by flufflepuff
A Grarrl with constellations of
the greyish-brown of sun-bleached earth
all speckled down his layered back
did amble toward the Catacombs.
Awaiting hungry ears and eyes,
each step a threat to thinning bones,
he labors, clinging to routine
as well as stairs both up and down.
Upon, at long last, solid ground,
he meets the sight of smaller forms,
each one with saucer-giant eyes,
as if they mean to take the earth.
And so they do, they note it all:
the muted hue of languished mint,
the mingled evidence of war,
where weapons had once split his skin,
so badly blanketed by crust.
The General knew his time was past,
of rough adrenaline and wit,
no more shall he hear clang of steel,
no longer shall he fear that risk.
He knows a different time has come.
And so, he spreads his claws, though each
did tremble like a baby Kau
who’d just learned how to use its legs.
The voice retains some proof of strength,
a gravel delicate, yet fierce.
His tales did stretch to greatest lengths,
how hides of toughest beasts he’d pierce,
yet no child dared to move, held fast
by tales of his astounding past.
In strangest of the strangest ways,
the General takes a stance once more,
he’s on the battlefield of days,
preparing children for the War.
Recounting strategies and tales,
his eyes do close for days of old,
regaining thrills as they’re unveiled.
And fed by this, his sound grows bold.
The hope of glory feeds his voice,
echoing as voices should.
He knows it ends, though not by choice,
Once all his tales are done for good.

From the perspective of a Grarrl
by jitskeskywalker
Others view us as brute and savage,
a species of anger, destruction and ravage.
The other side of the story shall now be told:
two stories of heroes, inspiring and bold.
The famous Grarrl named Torakor,
a heroic protector of Altador,
left the plunderers and chose to be
part of the right side of history.
And Grarrg the fierce defender,
was a very impressive commander
when he fought alongside his army,
to defeat a Tyrannian enemy.
Not only were they brave and strong,
but many are completely wrong,
when they say we only want to fight;
for we too know honor, duty and pride.

Grey Grarrl Morphing Potion
by indulgences
So drooping, sad, and hued with grey,
This potion slinks and sulks.
It mopes with sorrow, sighs and cries.
This potion sighs and skulks.
What person would acquire this thing
And use it on their pet?
This potion’s full of misery.
It’s full of sad regret.
It bends and warps, cannot stand tall.
It’s limp, and weary too.
It surely does exemplify
Its special ashen hue.
This potion is a pensive thing,
So dark and full of woe.
When tilted side to side, this flask
Will bubble, fume, and glow.
Beware the consequence of this
Most gloomy, spectral thing.
Your pet will change quite strangely, and
Will cease to laugh or sing.

Grarrl Celebrations
by _interrupted_
Today is the day we gather,
To celebrate this special date.
For it is the Grarrl's birthday,
It will surely be great!
Pounding the ground as they walk,
The Grarrl's can look rather scary.
With their great big teeth and fierce eyes,
It's advisable to be wary.
Just one bite from these strong creatures,
Can cause lots of damage and pain.
So, stay away from their piles of food,
Unless, of course you are insane!
But if your nice and have lots of treats,
That you are willing to share.
The Grarrl's will be friendly and trust you,
A friendship that cannot compare.
Happy Grarrl Day.
