KAU DAY SPECIAL

Kauvara, Our Idol
By Lily2b18

With star-filled eyes and a desire to please,
She has numerous potions designed to appease,
And even more to bring you to your knees,
And she goes by the name of Kauvara.
She observes things nobody else sees,
She can whip up elixirs with greatest of ease,
Whether to aid in battle or to cure disease,
She makes them all in plethora.

But please understand, her work is quite hard
No matter how easy it looks,
please give your regards
To the one who refuses to let down her guard,
You can tip your hats in respect.
She can smoothen out skin
that was before quite scarred,
Fix your dignity, previously marred,
Please don't forget the one who is starred,
Kauvara, potions master, perfect.

The Cheerful Spotted Kau
By Soaringeagle25

Hues of soft yellow gold and green
Wind playfully rustles tendrils of grass
The wildflowers wave in the breeze
A tranquil spot for one to pass

Though silence is disturbed by one thing
Hoof beats, laughter, a cheerful squeal
Frolicking, kicking with a playful spin
General playing with much zeal

A cheerful Kau with spotted pelt
Sparkling eyes and cheerful grin
Bouncing about and chasing the clouds
Chasing his tail with a spin

Young and springy he is ready to pounce
On the passing gliding butterfly
Not a worry in the whole wide world
Under the bright azure sky

And even when the skies turn grey
Rain begins to fall in large drops
It's not a damper on this Kau's day
For his happy disposition never stops!

Kau Stargazing
By Anjie

Darkest veil shrouds the land,
The night's breeze gentle, warm.
Scattered starlight, tiny lights,
Illuminate her form.
Luminous, the silver sheen,
On lifted horns, it shines.
Moonlight parts the drifting clouds,
And with night sky, entwines.

Viridian, a field serene,
She'll dream the night away.
Gaze fixated on the sky,
One's mind is bound to stray.
In rhythm with the soothing breeze,
Her tail swings so slow.
A pendulum that counts the time,
While drifting to and 'fro.

Daylight's hours are reserved,
To wander pastures green.
Selecting blades of grass so fresh,
Indulging, quite, serene.
Only when the sky grows dark,
Can Kau sink in the hay.
Stars reflected in her eyes,
She'll watch the moonbeams play.

Velvet gaze aglow with awe,
She'll rest back, quite at ease.
Silken gloss of heavy coat,
Protects from midnight breeze.
At sunrise shall she stand again,
To wander free, and graze.
But night is Kau's own special time,
When stars are in her gaze.

One-Kau Band
By Concertogreat_8

Poor dear Kau, they said she couldn't do a thing.
Silly shape, and clumsy hooves, away from her
They did pluck the clever crafts, the sculpted tools
And fine-made wool; for never did they expect
With her oddness she could ever be an artist.

Though she tried, and laboured hard, for her one
Dear dream, her secret wish, was to be revered
For a special gift.

The Shoyrus all laughed, the Kougras twitched their
Tails; the Ixis looked on in silent mirth, the Jubjubs
Had a fit. How could this silly Kau,
they said, ever do a thing?

But the Kau, she was more they ever imagined, for
Indeed she wasn't one to give up easily.
"I will show them!" was her cry, and
Away she ran, on clumsy hooves, far, far away.

Never did they expect,
what they saw coming down the street.
A crazy sight, their eyes beheld,
something clearly beyond reason.
Strange and lumpy, brass and wood,
seemed like a walking
Meridell Rubbish Dump, it did.
Children stopped their play to watch,
grownups abandoned
Jobs, fruits rolled down the street,
the bank was left alone.

A great cacophony of noise,
they expected, surely would come
From such a despicable sight!
But their eyes deceived them,
Or perhaps their ears did,
for sweet only was the sound that
Poured forth. Gentle music, watery,
flowing, tunes to make
A skip, and leap, and jump about.

And in this mess, from behind it all,
a shy, calm face
Looked out upon the crowd.
A Kau's muzzle was set
To the French Horn,
a Kau's clumsy hooves played the timpani,
And swept the bow across the cello,
viola, violin strings.
And all about the people wondered,
those ones who had
At one time said
she would never amount to anything,
They were indeed wrong,
for what marvel was this, but the
Highest one: a One-Kau Band?

Kalora, Kalora - Tell Us A Tale!
By Inndie

Kalora, Kalora - tell us a tale -
Of troughs and buckets and the water pail,
Of life in the fields,
Of games in the hay,
Kalora, Kalora - we all know you live a life of play!

Friends, Friends - I'll tell you a tale -
Of how it's unheard of for me to fail,
Of whole sets of sevens,
Of whole sets of nines,
Yes, fields are fun - but it's Cheat where I shine!

Kalora, Kalora - tell us a tale -
Of troughs and buckets and the water pail,
Of bright white moons,
Of flashes of lightning,
Kalora, Kalora - nights in the open
must be awful exciting!

Friends, Friends - I'll tell you a tale -
Of how it's unheard of for me to fail,
Of Timmy, Capara,
And old Brucey B,
Yes, fields are fun - but just wait and see!

Kalora, Kalora - stop with the game -
We'd love you all the same,
If you rambled and roamed,
As other Kaus do,
Kalora, Kalora - it's not undignified to MOO!

Friends, Friends - the game's who I am -
Without my visor I'm a total sham,
If I rambled and roamed,
I'd be incomplete,
Yes, fields are fun -
but they've got nothing on Cheat!
