The Summer Faire
By Chaenda

The sun is up high in this time of year,
But it's time to have fun, so do not fear,
Look very closely, what do you see there?
Oh, what a surprise, it's the summer faire!

You can visit Mystery Island and play volleyball,
With power-ups that can make you oh so tall,
Or try your speed at the 200m Peanut Dash,
And while playing these games you earn some cash!

You could also feed your pets some food,
Rest assured, they taste very good,
Some sorbet for you, three different kinds,
Most likely created by intelligent minds.

Why not send greetings to some of your friends?
Especially those you won't see until summer ends?
With a variety of choices for you to select,
For some of your friends for them to collect.

A collection of downloads are in store for you,
They are really pretty, what I say is true,
From icons to wallpapers and maybe some more,
It is a reality, not just a folklore!

So why not join the faire while you can,
Since if it will be back I wouldn't know when,
I'm sure you don't want to miss out on the fun,
Now go and join, and have a nice time everyone!

Taelia the Snow Faerie
By Neogal_anu

Atop Neopia's coldest peak, in a small hut
She doth sit
Snowy winds, cold and unforgiving,
On her face do hit.
Maybe while wandering 'round Terror Mountain,
You might chance to spy her,
Quiet, and engrossed in her spells,
Stirring potions even in the cold
Patiently awaiting their completion.
Her ebon hair doth flow in the wind,
Her long blue coat doth stream,
Her sapphire eyes, patiently focused
On her spells and her bubbling potions.
Her soft wings doth rustle in the harsh winds,
Her hands hard at work, never to stop
'Til her spells she doth complete.
Chance by her, maybe she asked you for help
With one of her spells?
Ay, hesitate not, hasten to help
Maybe she'll save your life one day.
She doth reward handsomely
Those who her pleas do heed.
A faerie of extraordinary power
She doth brave the cold
To help and rescue
All of Neopia's ill and old.

The Bartamus
By Soaringeagle25

From where did the Bartamus originate?
A mystery of Neopia from the oldest date
Somehow appearing on that malevolent cloud
Seething purple, green fog enshroud.

Guarding Jhudora's highest throne
Scrabbling wings, shrill ear-piercing tone.
Uniquely found in Jhudora's abode
And given out to Neopians she hath owed.

She entices poor fools to do her quests
Impossible it is, even for the best,
And ev'ry time, or so I heard,
Neopians that fail disappear without a word.

No shop in Neopia who Petpets keep
Carry a Bartamus, or have heard a peep
Of a Bartamus existing in another world
Besides Jhudora's claimed home that ever swirled.

So where doth the Bartamus come from?
Besides the evil lilac maelstrom
Handed out occasionally by her quest
But that doesn't account for all the rest...

Existing in only in hushed gossamer rumour
Jhudora stays silent, other Neopians humour
The idea that Jhudora just can't hide
The fact that these events seem to coincide.

Lab Ray Colours
By Indulgences

I purchased the Lab Ray, and now I must wait
For zapping to change my main Neopet's hue.
I'll take any colour, a rare one or plain,
Because any colour will give me my due.

My mood often changes, and this I'll explain:
I've got some of everything hidden inside.
I'm sometimes a blissful and fortunate soul,
But sometimes I'm dreary, in darkness reside.

I'm Island whenever I want to show off.
I've got Starry eyes and a pink-tinted cheek.
I'm desert and green, I'm Tyrannian too.
I'm red when it matters and brown when I'm meek.

I'm cloud and grey, I am Darigan too.
I'm yellow with fear, I am panicked and white.
I'm brash as a mutant and hot as a fire.
I'm quiet and sound as a snow-blotted night.

I've got that old Christmas-y bounce to my step.
I'm speckled with joy, simply glowing with pride.
I'm purple with stress, oh, I'm all out of breath.
I'm stenciled and sketch (but I'm disco inside!).

I'm rainbow with gladness and dung with despair.
I'm Halloween too, maybe stark as a ghost.
I'm light as a faerie, invisible maybe.
I'm good as a garlicky clove put to roast.

I'm mellow as mallow, I'm frosty as ice.
I'll eat chocolates with a biscuit for lunch.
My custard is ready, my jelly is set.
I'll mop up my coconut spill with a sponge.

I'm black and I'm blue when I'm bruised up, it's true.
I'm spotted whenever I'm found.
I love getting hugs, I am squishy as clay.
I might act robotic when no one's around.

My past is quite checkered, electric with thrill.
My trophies are lined up in silver and gold.
I live not in shadow, my conscience is clear.
My life is not split, only skunks are so bold.

I'm juicy with secrets, I'm strawberry sweet.
I'm Maraquan with the desire to swim.
I'm striped when I want just a little of both
Of teal and some lavender streaks (just a trim!).

I'll snarl like an MSPP, that is true,
A plushie so dastardly evil that I
Will mimic its growls, just a hiss here and there.
It's so bad and wicked, I'll laugh till I cry.

I'm playing a game with an alien crew.
I'm on level four, now I need camouflage!
I'm snotty whenever my needs are not met
(But I'll take a break with my orange fromage).

I've got some of everything pent up inside!
It's up to the Lab Ray, not me, to decide,
The colours my pets will eventually get.
I'm here for the journey, along for the ride!

Neovia : Revived and Redeemed
By Anjie

Spectral moonlight lingers here,
Its beams shall twist, entwine.
Dancing through the eerie woods,
It casts a glow, divine.
A haunted realm of ages past,
Once slept in horror's grip.
Into the depths of ancient lore,
The tiny town did slip.

The eerie night casts gentle glow,
It illuminates dark sky.
Faint music drifts above the roofs,
From Gypsy camp, nearby.
Neovia has woken now,
From spell that vile curve spun.
The weeks have crumbled into years,
But now life has begun.

The veiled shroud of twirling mist,
Doth coat the chilling 'eve.
Around the buildings now restored,
So idle does it weave.
The fashion in the old clothes store,
Has not changed, I confess.
The churning of machinery,
Shall drift from Printing Press.

The stores and stalls have come to life,
After that past mistake.
Unlikely heroes did the trick,
The town may now awake.
The dawning of a golden age,
Seems one that none had dreamed.
Neovia shall rise again,
Revived, and now redeemed.
