The Nightsteed
By Dianacat777

Deep in the realm of shifting sands
The land of golden waves and light
But in the midst of peace lies strife
For the steed of darkness walks tonight

The setting sun's last rays show all
In darkness, Uni guise is shorn
Blue fur dulling, feathers falling
The rising moon bathes his true form

Red eyes glitter in silver starlight
Black mane flutters, head tosses, and
Hooves spring alight with yellow flames
Racing across the desert sand

And so continues another legend
Another page in the book of lore
Until the sun will shine again
The Nightsteed patrols once more

The Will of the Superior
By Reedspurgewillow

A little Pteri lost in the clouds
of shimmering gloom where dismay abounds
a simple weeping soul, misunderstood
treated like a Grarrl, beaten like a crook.

To forget his woes, he flew and danced.
But they, the Superior, destroyed his life.
Feather by feather, slowly and painfully
Until no more, he has had enough.

He only wished to touch the tree
but the Superior would never heed.
For those who should be models, are definitely not
yet more of tyrants, rampant and beastly.

They never understood him in any way
He was dung to begin with, and poison till the end.
they should have shaped us his dreams.
But destroyed them instead.
With mockery, insults, detention and confinement.

He was not like the others,
pieces of clean cloth.
for he was stained in the beginning
a stain never to be washed off.

Oh, little Pteri, how lucky thou are
to even survive such menacing fate
only a few more flaps away, the tree awaits
your gentle touch, your voice it wants to hear

A lesson to us all
A lesson to heed.
Our dreams are our treasures.
Protect it or stop to live.

Hannah
By Bellsbellsbellsbells

Many a year and a day ago
In olden tales of lore
There was an Usul, Hannah
Scrubbing planks and wooden floors.

So boring was her work each day
On an island Krawk.
But when she found a magic book
She could only gawk.

She read about the pirate caves
And treasure buried deep.
Hannah stowed the book away
'Twas something she would keep.

Each night she read of monsters
Of traps and ancient caves
Our Hannah thought of this each night
Her job was so low-paid.

So finally the Usul
Decided it was time
To go in search of pirate caves
Of loot within the lime.

Our Hannah left the island
And traveled near and far
Until she found the ancient caves
Underneath the stars.

Always she would travel, she could
Jump and crawl and swim
And every time she found more gold
She continued to win.

And finally our heroine
Had taken all the loot
In riches Hannah now would drown
In gold she'd take a root.

But itching for adventure
Hannah found another way
In ice caves! Hannah traveled north
And searched it night and day

Her little Bori Armin
Came along to help our star
Together they are searching
For treasure down afar.

Here ends the tale of Hannah
A brave and now-rich girl
The Neopians watch her
As treasure is unfurled.

Oh Chef Bonju
By Devilsangel0727

Oh great Chef Bonju,
will my ingredients work?
A dash of this a dash of that,
and yet all you do is smirk.

If I add some Acnefruit,
and a few asparagus pies.
Will it be enough
to keep you satisfied?

Chef Bonju what is it,
what do you want?
To add to your lovely soup,
that you bravely flaunt.

What ingredient do I need
to make your soup great!
Would a bit of chocolate peach
add to the weight?

I am tired Chef Bonju,
you stand there mocking me.
I will get what you want,
I will get that avatar you'll see.

The Cave Painting
By x__sayitaintso__x

A torch flickers dimly in the dark
Illuminating walls and strange marks
Deep beneath the frozen ground
Stifling silence without a sound

An underground cave full of mystery
Holding records of a long lost history
Etched across the sprawling cavern
Images that most cannot imagine

Drawings of strange things from the past
Of kills and of chases long and fast
Of creatures which one could not find
In the faintest memory in anyone's mind

Crude murals span the ground to the ceilings
Show basic emotions and the barest feelings
Such great triumphs and such deep sorrows
New beginnings and lost tomorrows

It is true, they are ancient, be that as it may
They still have something important to say
Those feelings which we rarely vocalize
Are best shared not by mouths and ears but by eyes
