The Neocola Machine Scene

Standing in front of the Neocola machine,
With my tokens: red, blue and green,
I'm not here for the sweet dopamine,
All I want is a prize, one, two or fourteen!

Maybe for flavour, I'll pick the Smite!
To quench my thirst, this one seems right.
As for button presses, perhaps none at all?
That seems to work if I recall.

I fling a green token into the slot and...

Fake Neocola Token on a String?
I was craving something I could drink!
Disappointed, but hopeful I'll try again.
I'll press the button once, we'll see it then.

I fling a red token into the slot and...

I can't believe it dropped a Fake Sloth Tattoo.
I just might break this machine in two!
I'm getting angry at this device!
Maybe this time I'll press the button twice!

A Non-Sticky Sticky Hand?
Why would I use it, I don't understand.
They say that the third time's the charm,
Perhaps I'll press three times if there is no harm.

I fling a green token into the slot and...

Now a Wind-Up Dr. Sloth Toy.
Maybe it would bring someone joy?
Not for me, but who knows, maybe later?
For now, I'll be satisfied to change the flavour.

This time I'll pick this one, Minion Maid
I'll press ten times, this machine I'll persuade!

A Dented Can of Neocola out of the machine.
This is the worst prize I have ever seen!
For now, I'll give this thing a taste
And I will do this next attempt at haste!

For this is the last token, the lucky one!
Now I'm sure I'll get just what I want!
Forty-two times I will press!
The meaning of everything, no less!

A Kau Transmogrification Potion!
I can barely contain my emotion!
A cool-looking creature I will be!
I'll not be afraid, I guarantee.

Maybe before this transformation, I endure
I get another potion just to be sure.
Another time, perhaps, because I'm making a scene
Right in front of the Neocola Machine.

Woes of a Hungry Kadoatie

A little hungry
The Kadoatie was – 
She licked her little lips
And both of her paws.

When the Kadoaties emerge
All hungry at once, 
To the Shop Wizard now
Neopians will run.

Kind, generous souls
Watch out for their needs –
Keep watch of the time
And are eager to feed.

Misato waited,
She wanted to eat
A Chokato Toffee Apple –
What a fine treat!

All of her friends
Had been fed,
She sat hungry for hours,
And got very sad.

The day was fading,
And off went the lights.
Misato’s heart quickened,
She was scared of the night.

A little wail
Pierced the dark,
Waking the Kadoaties
And all tears were sparked.

A woeful crying chorus –
The Kadoatery erupted.
No stopping them now
With their dreams interrupted.

“There, there,” a voice said,
And the apple appeared – 
Misato stopped crying,
There were happy tears.

Quickly he left,
She watched in awe.
If only she could tell him
How grateful she was.

Daily Reminder: Do your Dailies!

Every morning, I start my day
By packing my bag and heading on my way
Around Neopia, I must trek
Doing my dailies, hoping for a paycheque 

Stop number one, let’s start with a meal 
We won’t make it far, without some fuel
Some jelly, and an omelette too
The kind Faerie said ‘no soup for you!’

Let’s spin some wheels, how exciting
Will it bring us knowledge, or just be frightening? 
If I’m feeling flashy, I’ll go for extravagance 
But let’s be real, I probably don’t stand a chance 

Next stop, Tombola, hoping for a 0, 2 or 5
When I reach my hand in, it makes me feel alive.
Speaking of alive, let’s hope I still am
After I escape from the Snowagers den! 

To the Battledome, to pick a fight
Next stop, Turmaculus where I try with all my might 
We’ll visit the lab ray, much to my Pet's dismay 
But if I’m lucky, the zap will be okay

Fruit Machine, and Coltzan’s Shrine
But underwater fishing is where I truly shine
Next, I’ll hunt for buried treasure
Then I’ll visit the Healing Springs for good measure. 

Never forget Food Club, not even one round
The winnings are sure to quickly compound
Always collect interest, and check on your till
Watching the balance climb is always a thrill

Every day I do it all
You never know when you’ll get a good haul
So let this serve as a way to remind
To never forget the dailies grind!

Jetsams, My Favorite Neopet

Under the waves there lives a pet,
That’s just a little rare than the rest.
Jetsams are small and few in number,
But underestimating them would be quite a blunder.

To Jetsam means to toss something overboard,
No! Never! This is a species I adore!
They have powerful tails and fin-like feet,
Without a Jetsam I’d feel incomplete.

Just look at them with a different eye,
They have their own style that you can’t deny.
A flashy fin and some very sharp teeth,
There’s just so much more to them underneath.

They can be loyal, affectionate and sweet.
And there’s no one better at the card game Cheat.
To me, they stand out above the rest,
Mr. Irgo could even help you win Neoquest.

Jetsams are like Chomby Chips, I can’t have just one,
Seventeen so far filling my world with fun.

I am quite smitten as you can see,
They’re my favourite Neopian species!
So on Jetsam Day bring home a new friend,
And they’ll be by your side until the end.

Put Down Your Feet

The young Blumaroo liked to bounce around,
Hoisting her whole body above her strong tail.
But - "Put down your feet," she was told one day.
"Make less noise, and follow the trail."

She didn't like to wear shoes at first.
She preferred to wave her feet in the air,
To feel the breeze, but - "Put down your feet!"
"Walk like a lady, and sit on a chair."

She learned to walk in a manner soft,
To keep her tail behind her, on the ground.
No more thumping - "Put down your feet!"
Only small steps, with gentle sound.

But when no one is watching, and she's alone
On the beach, she takes off her shoes
To raise her feet. And just for a moment,
She feels - there is nothing to lose -

The little heart-pads beneath her feet
Breathe in the sea breeze and are glad.
Her tail goes thump as she waves them around,
Feeling free - though she's meant to feel bad.

And so though the Blumaroo learned to wear shoes,
She stayed young and boisterous in her heart.
When she's not putting down her feet,
She keeps them up, wiggling and apart.

Food for All!

Depending on who you are and where you stand,
you can be surrounded by grand riches or,
Living your life quite simple and poor.

But one thing that perhaps matters most,
is not if you live in a big manor with ghosts.
No, the vital thing for everyone you meet,
Is that they have enough to eat.

The food can be local or not,
Most Neopians like it fresh, - but some let it rot.
Different food grows in different lands.
From Brightvale to the Lost Desert Sands.

Meridell has acres big and grand,
Several farms together they band.
Here they grow turnips and tomatoes,
But most important is their potatoes.

If you teach a Neopian how he grows,
His very own field of potatoes.
He and his kin will never more,
Be hungry and feel their tummies roar.

King Kelpbeard

There’s only one King for you and me,
It’s King Kelpbeard, big and strong,
He caused a little mayhem but it didn’t last long.

A survivor of the famine in the old world,
He created a new one, fresh as a pearl,
Many years later the pirates attacked...
King Kelpbeard was there so we didn’t get sacked.

Now our King is a bit of a recluse,
but hey! He’s still better than a Bruce,
Maraqua is safe thanks to this Koi,
He’s been there to defend it ever since he was a boy.

King Kelpbeard is the best around,
For all of the sea, he wears his crown,
So three loud cheers, for King Kelpbeard,
Known far and wide, his name is feared.

She quickly runs from room to room,
Combing through each section,
Until she finds her favourite toys
In her whole collection. 

The living room contains the sets

She may even find the Clown Set,
If that's her persuasion! 

In the kitchen, she may find
A set with a sandcastle--
Though running to THAT side of the house
May be quite a hassle! 

She thought she lost her rarest piece,
Making her quite upset--
Then by her bed, she sees the doll:
Her Usuki Space Set! 

Before long, she completes her list,
Finally feeling zen--
Until the next level begins,
Scrambling the toys again!

Happiest Of Neopets

Today is beautiful
The sun is shining high in the sky
The fact that today is perfect
Is something nobody can deny

In a small but very green garden
A small Shoyru plays with glee
While an older faerie Shoyru looks on
Sipping on her Purplum Iced Tea

The small Shoyru tumbles about
Plucking different flowers all around
Binding them together
Into a gorgeous flower crown

"Look, big sis, I made you this."
The small Shoyru says while running over
Showing her the flower crown
Made out of Daisies, some Whirlygig and clover

The older Shoyru bows down with a smile
"Thank you, I love it so much!"
Her younger sister places it on her head
Correcting the flowers with one last touch

This sunny day in Neopia wasn't over yet
Together they played on without regrets
Till late that night, after the sun had set
They felt like the happiest of Neopets
