The Kyrii Mystic

Having been on the island for only a day,
You had seen all the sights and had gone to the bay,
You had talked to the locals and passed by the shore,
And heard of a Mystic few had visited before.

"A Kyrii," the locals had said with a quip,
"With markings and piercings that made him hard to forget,
He lives all alone across the coast from here,
If you visit him he may have a fortune to share."

The first day you visited he growled when he said,
"You will find yourself suddenly asleep in your bed,"
"What kind of fortune is that?" You wondered aloud,
And he smiled in response as if he were proud.

The second and third day he said much the same,
By the fourth you knew you were to blame,
Why return to this Kyrii each and every day,
If you knew this was all he was going to say?

On the fifth day you were about to head home,
When you thought of the Kyrii, old and alone,
You decided to visit, say one last goodbye,
And headed over to his hut with a sigh.

He greeted you with his familiar smile,
And repeated the same fortune, all the while,
You realised something you hadn't before,
You would miss this Mystic who lives by the shore.

Capara the Kyrri (And Her Famous Mane)

It’s quite a shame,
But all the same, 
He claim to fame
Is that lustrous mane—
And a mane like that
Takes skill to tame.

If in each game,
She gave the same
Effort she gives to taming that mane,
She could one day claim
A place for her name
In the Cheat’s Greatest Cheater’s Hall of Fame.

Every young Kyrii
Would know her name,
And know the story
Of how she became
A player of acclaim in the great Cheat game.
“Capara, Capara,” her fans would proclaim.
“You play so well!
And oh, what a mane!”

But Capara the Kyrii
Plays Cheat without aim.
She’s got nothing to lose
And little to gain.
Her game skills are lacking,
And she’s to blame.
But lustrous, lustrous 
Is that mane!

The Kyrii and the Apple

Pity the poor Kyrii
Who often has to grapple
With resisting the temptation
To eat a juicy apple.

His craving for the apple
Drives him to a blind pursuit,
Though his constitution dictates
He eschew that luscious fruit.

For, one bite of that apple
And he breaks out in a rash,
A nasty skin eruption
That itches in a flash.

Then he is forced to spend the day
In misery at home;
Unless he seeks a cure,
He has to skip the Battledome.

So feed him pears or peaches,
Or even Roast Gargapple,
But never, ever, ever
Feed a Kyrii an apple.

I've battled with pirates and refused to retreat,
Once caught by the Drenched and rescued by friends,
You'll find me Grand Elder where Tyrannia ends,
I've been called heroic and teller of fortune,
But most known to all for my fearless extortion,
Named Jazan, Capara, Kyruggi, or Jacques,
The most famous of Kyriis will always fight back.

The Grandest Thief

With a mane of orange and a pocket of gold,
Stan the Kyrii is a sight to behold.
He makes a living on tricks and cheats,
But ask him and he’ll say, “A guy’s gotta eat!”

The streets of Sakhmet he races through,
Avoiding guards, carts, and passerby too.
He has one aim and his one aim is real:
To eat all the desert fruits he can steal!

The grand thief keeps busy night and day,
Running left and right — but never astray.
The Elephante guards quaver at his name,
For this wild Kyrii is impossible to tame.

He has ninja reflexes and youthful vigour;
The guards are quick but he is quicker.
He avoids their traps of cracks and holes
While staying focused on his ultimate goal.

Sometimes silly Stan will get in trouble,
But magical objects he does have double:
One, a potion that grants a mask unreal,
And two, a ring with the power to conceal.

So on this special day, let us celebrate
The rascal Kyrii whom the guards all hate.
For though he may plunder all the fruit,
This baggus-eating burglar is quite a hoot!

The Kyrii Virtuoso

I know a fine Green Kyrii
whose music I hear each day
His melodies and arpeggios
cause listeners to smile and sway

Hand this Green Kyrii any instrument
and he could play it with much skill
Other days, the Kyrii opts to sing-
his crooning gives me chills!

'Some Pets around the lands gather 'round
when they his first note or chord
Most can hear his tunes
from miles away,
preventing them from getting bored.

As a 'humdrum Pet lacking skills or talents,
I can only aspire to be
as musically gifted
as the fantastic green Kyrii!

Svenn's Special Day

There once was a Kyrii
whose name was Svenn.
He liked to tour Roo Island
every now and again.
He'd ride on the Merry-Go-Round
until he felt sick,
then he'd head off to the Coffee Shop
to get a Mocha real quick.
He'd peruse the Art Gallery from dusk till dawn,
then draw his own picture with his brand new crayons.
But this trip was special, because not every tourist can say
that he went to Roo Island to celebrate Kyrii Day.

The Cake That I Want

I walked by the Bakery
On this beautiful day.
And I saw a small cake
That just blew me away!

A simple sponge cake,
Baked, fluffy and gold.
The top was iced with
Strawberry, I was told.

Small chocolate drops,
Were sprinkled above.
I was definitely sure
It was made with much love.

I bought this cake home,
And tried out a slice.
It was sweet and delicious,
It was better than nice!

Kyrii Strawberry Cake,
What a prefect sweet treat.
Great for Kyrii day,
It's the best you could eat!
