The Daily Dare is coming
And we’re ready to come to Abby’s aid
But there’s a curveball
Because TNT said this year it’s delayed

There really were no details
They like to leave us guessing
They did mention King Roo,
But mayhap they were just messing?

But maybe it is King Roo
Who has a surprise for us!
So here we’re eagerly waiting,
Trying not to make a fuss!

But TNT, what could it be
That has you taunting us so?
Will it be a new daily,
A brand new place to go?

Or will it be a new event,
Or, dare I say, a mini-plot?
Perhaps instead a brand new game,
Dice-A-Roo Two (with a bigger prize pot)?

Oh TNT, you taunt us so,
We sit and anxiously await
News on the 28th of February --
Just, please, don’t be late!

Digging in my Safety Deposit Box 
I have come to find
100 Rotting Driftwoods and 90 Piles of Sludge.
But a TNT Staff member's had an idea in mind;
A crafty way to make these items budge.

Releasing a new avatar to clean up Neopia!
Grabbing stinky items 
From the shops to remove
Seriously TNT, this was who's IDEA?!?
Now I am not so sure of this avatar I approve.

Do I really have to give up my large collection
Of those beautiful Diseased Mechafish?
And those Rotten Berries 
Are a sign of perfection
Let me hang on to them, it's my only wish!

But alas, you have convinced me 
To help Neopia out
In cleaning and removing the world 
Of all the stench.
But I am really going to start having to pout
If even more items I will have to unclench.

So TNT, I hope you are very happy
That you have made some of us cry.
You have made us clean madly
And to our junk we kiss goodbye!

Gradient Lament

Eventide, O eventide!
With your gradient of colours.
From dusk to dawn, and contrast by
The star and sunlight in the sky.
Elusive and with nary a drop
Of your paint for us to mop.
The Draik, the Aisha merely sigh
The Lenny, the Tonu ask, "Oh, why?"
There does not seem to be a way
Or a sum of "k" to pay
To paint your 'pet in the fade
Of shift from nighttime to bright day.
The rush of new paint brushes brought
With it many colours to be bought
But none more rare or highly prized
Than you, my dear! My eventide!

She is a healer at heart
And with her work she doesn’t rest
Until everyone is off her chart

A water faerie, the prettiest
The guardian of the springs
She is also the wittiest 
And you should hear how she sings

She soothes pets' pains,
Heals diseases and cuts
She works her magic ‘til she strains
For any Neopian who is a super klutz 

She does her work free of charge
Her kindness to the creatures 
Proves her benevolence at large
It is one of her best features

Browse her shop for a potion 
Or just gaze into her eyes
You’ll see the ocean
Don’t be surprised

Do not come too often
She is not always in the mood
Give her time to soften
You don’t want to be rude.

I just wanted to prove my friends wrong.
I wanted to show them 
That you could grow the plants.
Even in the darkest corners of Neopia,
That a Pineapple Plant could sprout.

They said, "It's not gonna happen,
You need sunlight for a plant to grow!"
But I thought about and I said,
"No. 
I'll show them."

So, late one August 25th 
Of the month of Hiding,
I went to the forest that changed my fate.
As I felt the soil's lusciousness,
I felt a shiver of hunger and hate.

"Let me go!" I yelled as it pulled my tail.
It laughed its horrible laugh 
And a needle entered my arm.
I screamed and writhed in agony 
As I transformed.
I bit down on the needle and ripped it out.

Half mutant, half spotted.
And I hear him calling now.
But hear my plea.
We all make mistakes.
