Meridell's Nightmare
By Kushbi

Shrieking wind, a chilly draught,
Blows forth from the Citadel top,
A foreboding feeling sweeps across
The land below, where peace reigns,
But not for long.

A malicious shadow does appear,
The threatening presence all these years
Has come again, he has returned,
Followed by his loyal minions,
All inspiring fear.

None can stop Lord Darigan now,
Whose powers have become most foul,
Meridell trembles with not a sound,
Watching helplessly as the orb leaves,
Never to be found.

And as the land that was so green,
Withers into awful ruin,
None can hide and none can flee,
For all is left to waste away
Where Darigan reigns supreme.

The Court Dancer
By Santarosa

She twists and turns,
Enchanting the soul,
The hair flies loose,
Her perfect drum roll.

She breathes in lies
And pulls in the weak,
She holds a spell,
Her scent will reek.

No one believed,
No one could see,
But a little girl clever,
For she had the key.

The curse was gone,
Her deadly dark song,
It vanished with joy,
And all of the wrong.

She's gone for now,
She can't be seen,
But we know she's here
With our senses so keen.

The Fall of Meridell
By Vpshorsechic18

Go forth ye valiant and bold,
Protect the withered, and the old.
For soon the day of judgement hails,
And greediness can tip the scales.

He rides on Uni black as coal
Who snorts with breath of blackest soul.
He treads on iron hooves of steel,
He cannot love, and cannot feel.

But prince of red, with heart so brave
Will crown his knights, and crown his knave.
Illusen cannot brave the fight,
And kneels before the blackest knight.

The evening sky turned red with tears
As citizens lived out their fears.
Poor Meridell lay crushed in sand,
Now ruled beneath an evil hand.

The Court Dancer
By Caitlinmuir2004

Oh Meridell, beware, beware,
Don't watch her as she dances,
King Skarl and his brave troops
Have fallen under her trances,
Do not be fooled by her pretty face,
As she spins and waltzes in the halls,
The Court Dancer has returned,
Bent on cursing us all!

Sure, you may think she's pretty,
But don't judge on what you see,
Like I've said, now Morguss is dead,
King Skarl's smitten with this catastrophe,
Her eyes are as blue as the salty sea,
Her lips are as red as berries,
Her charm and grace is ruined,
Once you've eaten her poisonous cherries!

Horray for Lisha, this brave young girl,
Who saw the Court Dancer
For what she really was,
We should all thank her,
And give her a grand round of applause,
We musn't shun this hero of ours,
And laugh and call her names,
For she has stopped the dreaded dancer,
And halted her evil games!

Darigan Dreams
By Karl_mercer

On tattered wings make haste, oh son,
and drift among Neopian skies.
Aloft on high above precious Citadel
let out your evil cries.
Bring darkness over olde Meridell,
let luscious loathing loose,
let rip your latent anger
on any whom you choose.
Cast off an evil glance, oh son,
to those who disagree,
you're doing well for all can tell
if only they could see.
Carve the message in their souls,
my darkened angel of the night,
For ours is Neopia.
All the world, all Darigan... what a sight!
