USUL DAY SPECIAL

Winter Usul Tale
By _Rainbow__sparkle_

As the winter winds get colder,
and the leaves begin to die,
a lonely Usul in the pound
sits by herself and cries.

Her owner left her long ago
For a new and exciting pet,
But even though her owner is gone,
This Usul cannot forget.

But then one day quite suddenly,
Her cage opens with a squeak,
And who is there to greet her?
A new owner with a treat!

So as the snow is falling,
This Usul isn't sad,
Because now she lives in the warm
With the best friend she's ever had!

The Guardian of Spectral Magic
By Desertedearth

Raw beauty in a deadly form,
Blinding radiance and shadowy storm,
A mix of darkness, and light so warm,
Her power is a potent swarm,
Of magic, dark and light.

A mysterious past marks out her fate,
In her fortress, she will wait,
Caught in a trance-like, sleepy state,
Until a challenger steps up to the plate,
And fights the Spectral Guardian.

She slowly rises to the fight,
One side of her is black as night,
The other, a burst of rainbow light,
Once defeated she glows so bright,
Then vanishes, leaving a staff.

Her secrets to us will never be known,
For all her life she's lived alone,
Sitting on her dusty throne,
She never talks, or cries or moans,
The Guardian of Spectral Magic.

Usul-in-Waiting
By Songful

The halls are flanked by laughter light
And whispers merged in pure delight --
As yet within the courts divine
A lady dwells in chambers fine.

Her eyes alight with gentle gleam
As silky skirts around her stream,
And dainty lips form crafty smile
To further charm and all beguile.

No hidden word can pass her by
As secrets kept she will defy
And tidings near she spreads with care --
With chiming laugh and lovely flair.

She knows of every passing deed
But often yet her words mislead;
For who can know with certain tact --
What comes as fiction or pure fact?

The Thing Behind the Door
By Santarosa

There is something moving,
It's right outside the door,
Its footsteps are advancing,
It's closer than before.

There is a soft tinkle,
A laugh that is so sweet,
The walk, so slow,
It's full of purpose and deceit.

Shivering so softly,
Put the face up to the hole,
But eyes will not open
For fear of the death toll.

And hand across the mouth
To stifle the loud scream,
For outside stands the Shadow Usul
Just like a bad dream.

It's hard to smother fear
From the thing behind the door,
When the fear that it will hurt
And still do so much more.

The Usul stands, so cold and dark,
Its fur is up and high,
It smiles and cackles far,
Its mouth whispers goodbye.

A knock echoes the room,
A jump from in the house,
The quiet is so great
You could hear a squeaking mouse.

Standing so silently,
Hoping so that she'll go away,
Yet even so, if she leaves,
She'll be back another day.

A Royal Usul
By xx_crying_inside_xx

As lips now form in sweetest curve,
And charming suitors in spell serve,
Her eyes of palest blue now flare,
In light of sun beyond compare.

Her skin so pure and dress so fine,
As wealthy lords all wait in line,
With hope they take a final bound,
A handsome face without heart found.

Her throne keeps she with gentle hand,
As airy breeze fills halls so grand,
And hair tied back to supreme use,
As eyes now stare that can't pull loose.

Of royal poise this Usul Queen,
Objects to intent eyes all keen,
For every day that court can spare,
So many admirers -- she does not care.
