I never liked the Skeith before.
I thought it quite inelegant.
Its face was so sarcastic, and
Its eyes were narrow, prone to squint.

But then I saw the Faerie Skeith
And gasped with adoration true.
I loved its wings so bright and clear,
And loved its body's azure hue.

Its feelers dangled gracefully
Above a face now confident.
Delightful freckles on its head
Were pretty, pink and opulent.

I love the Faerie Skeith so much.
I plan to make one someday soon.
Amazing is the Faerie Skeith,
So radiant, I simply swoon!

One Very Hungry Skeith

One very hungry skeith,
With dull and grimy teeth,
Ate far too many sweets,
And got a tooth ache.

One very hungry skeith,
With dull and aching teeth,
Could barely eat a sweet,
And sulked around all day.

One very hungry skeith,
With a mouth with no teeth,
Couldn't eat even meat,
And ventured to the Tooth Faerie.

One very angry faerie,
With teeth white as dairy,
Looked at the skeith's defeat,
And replaced all his teeth.

One very hungry skeith,
With new and shiny teeth,
No longer ate any sweets,
But ate lots of fruits,
And ten pounds of meat!

He sleeps and sleeps and sleeps
He naps away, doesn’t like to play

He weeps and weeps and weeps
Now other skeiths say to stay away
Because he smells distinctly of grease
