Faerie Festival
by mckenzie_princess

It's time to gather, it's time to fly,
The Faeries must make the festival on time!
Queen Fyora is busy in the Faerieland clouds,
It's a time of celebration, with followers so proud!
The balloons are up and the bunting is tied,
The Light, Earth, fire and water Faeries arrive!

Now all of the faerie guests are here,
It's time to fill Neopia with cheer!
The table is laden with food galore
And there's lots of sparkles and flying in store!
Faerie racers is a must where everybody takes flight,
Next is the faerie caverns but will you choose left or right?

Now it's time for a trip to the hidden tower to buy some treats,
And quests are given for you to try and beat.
Will you be granted a trip to the fountain faerie?
Don't worry dear neopets it won't be scary!
For once you take a dip in these magic waters,
You'll become painted a new colour not be made shorter!
One last thing, give the wheel of excitement a spin,
And help the crafting faerie make things from string!

Now after all that excitement and glee,
It's now time for Faeries to flee.
Neopia becomes quiet and fluttering wings are no more
And all that remains is sparkle dust on the floor.
But don't worry everyone not to fear,
The faerie festival will be back next year!

Chasing Faeries
by alessandria707

I thought I saw a faerie yesterday,
flitting between the trees and lake.
I did not know if I'd seen true,
or if that shimmer was just morning dew.

I've heard so much about their grace,
their kindness, magic, fairness of face.
So when I saw that spark again today,
I knew I'd do well to follow it away.

I ran as fast as I could bear,
twisting, turning, here and there.
The light ahead: closer, then farther
ever eluding its tiring pursuer.

I stumbled and gasped and gave up the flight.
I was simply no match for that glimmering sprite.
I bowed my head to weep in despair.
I thought I'd not see again that bright golden hair.

I looked up in tears, and then gasped in surprise
Not a foot from my own, eyes blue as the skies.
A smile curving on lips, eyes sparkling with mirth.
"You didn't do poorly, this being your first."

I said the three things that popped into my mind,
"First what? Who are you? A faerie, what kind?"
She laughed with the sound of swaying windchimes.
"First quest. Aletha. Air, I have been for all time.

I blinked unenlightnened, though she seemed quite pleased
"I'm all for quests that gather beauty, teach speed,
but items mean little compared to the chase.
Seek not those trifles. Learn speed in a race."

My mind turned slowly, barely grasping her words
"This was a quest. I was to find you. That's why you flew?
Aletha grinned, turned to go, and then she called back,
"I'll see you tomorrow. You'll grow swifter still.
Continue our game, and speed you'll not lack."

The Bow of the Light Faerie
by usagi_bianco

She kneels atop a cirrus cloud, her body poised to strike,
Chin tilted down and brows furrowed, her amber eyes war-like.

In her hands she grips a bow too bright for mortal eyes,
Golden like the sun’s blazing rays cutting through the skies.

Atop its strings lies a flaming arrow, ready and fletched,
Eagerly waiting for release from her arm, outstretched.

When she, trembling, can hold no longer, she sets free the arrow,
And watches intensely as its point pierces the air like a sparrow.

Fiery sparks shoot out in its wake among the clouds,
Down below come shouts and cheers from the crowds.

A smile paints her lips, her work now done.
A dazzling rainbow appears where there once was none.

Her bow, she knows, deserves the most admiration.
Without it, this Faerie Festival wouldn’t be much of a celebration!

Ode to the Crafting Faerie
by sky_lady

Oh, Delina,
Always called the Crafting Faerie.
You are the one who came from the dark.
You amaze us with your own mark.
You have purple hair and dark wings,
but your skilled hands craft amazing things.
In your hands, no material is too old.
You can easily turn a copper wire into gold.
I would run to give you a colorful feather.
Sadly it's gloomy and I hate this weather.

Oh, Delina,
The one and only Crafting Faerie.
If they knew the things you can get,
surely your name Neopians will never forget.
Sad thing, they should show more respect,
but sometimes your quest they even reject.
Some avoid you because you require Neocash.
Others worship you because of your stash.
Some will do anything to be able to help,
others will rather be on Restaurant of Kelp.

Oh, Delina,
Our beloved Crafting Faerie.
With chalk paints and chiffon fabric,
you can easily make your own magic.
A colorful wig, a shirt or even a dress,
you will leave no one in distress.
Now all the neopets will know what you do,
you can craft items with just a bottle of glue.
Oh, Delina is definitely a pretty name,
but being called Crafting Faerie should be no shame.

Jhuidah Faerie Doll Rapture
by indulgences

Flower pinned to raven locks
Is pink and sweetly scented
Twinkling eyes of darkest brown
They must be complimented

Gown of sparkling emerald grass
Her skin so soft and cocoa
Camera takes a picture, there's
Such beauty in her photo

Wings adorn her tiny back
They're lovelier than roses
She is quite adorable
So gorgeous are her poses

Jhuidah Doll, you make me stare
In honest loving worship
You are dainty, sweet and small
You're pretty and exquisite
