GRARRL DAY SPECIAL
The Gladiator
By Cookybananas324
See the Gladiator's stars
In the dimming evening sky.
Torakor, winner of wars
Shouting a mighty battle cry.
He who gave up glory great,
Leaving behind foolish pride,
To save a town from a dreadful fate
And won an army to his side.
Battles aren't always won by swords,
Might will never equal right.
This Grarrl's best deed was won with words
And so he peacefully won his fight.
Guardian of Altador,
Gladiator brave and true,
Shall be remembered evermore
For his valor is matched by few.

Island Grarrl Celebrations!
By Anjie
Feel the earth shake at your feet,
Enticing distant jungle beat.
A swing, a sway in perfect sync,
Through emerald fronds you slowly slink.
What sight so strange awaits your gaze?
You blink, surprised, though humid haze.
In conga line that shakes the ground,
Ten Island Grarrls, all dance around.
They raise small arms toward the sky,
Then one by one, they limbo by!
You dare not speak, not now at least,
Lest you become the party feast.
Skirts woven of the Island's grass
Sway wildly as the Grarrls do pass.
You watch in thankful, grateful fear,
That Grarrl Day comes but once a year.
Rumble rampage on the sand,
Observing, awe-struck do you stand!
Afraid to change your very stance,
Lest you disturb this tribal dance.
Tails thump and fan the heat,
With each stomp of those clumsy feet.
Sunset dips to distant shore,
And as one voice, the Grarrls shall roar.
They call to all who'll pay them heed,
The sound shall bellow, then recede.
It sounds on ocean, rides the wave,
Intrudes upon each beach, each cave.
It asks all Grarrls to take a chance,
Throw caution to the wind, and dance!
Should you hear that Island call,
Grab a grass skirt, and join them all.

The Hungry Grarrl
By _Razcalz_
It's afternoon and there I am,
Humming, walking 'round.
I pass a building grey and dark,
The famed Neopian Pound.
Through the door I see a Grarrl,
With doleful eyes she stares.
Abandoned by uncaring soul,
Her face reflects despair.
How pitiful the Grarrl looks,
Frightened, shocked, betrayed.
And so I take her to my home,
A place where she can stay.
She eats just about anything,
Stronger than a stone.
That is how I came to have
A Grarrl of my own.
I decide to paint this Grarrl,
A Plushie one I yearn.
I take a bulging Neopoint sack,
With the paint brush I return.
I grin and take it to my Grarrl,
Who's soon to be a plush.
"I'm hungry," she said to me,
And she ate the brush.

A Starry Grarrl Observes the Sky
By Brilliance109p
Beneath the skies of Altador,
The stars shine purely bright,
A starry Grarrl there softly stands,
Silhouetted against the light.
His hungry mouth is hanging wide,
His great mass is grandly vast,
The evening sky, the darkest sea,
The moon is but a silver mast.
Some say Grarrls are fearful things,
Some, afraid of pointed claws,
Or perhaps those sharpened teeth,
Set straight along a massive jaw.
And yet behind that giant size,
Behind the great ferocity,
There lies a heart that yearns to know,
Of knowledge and tranquillity.
He stares into the starry air,
Moonlight soaks into his bones,
He ponders this of such a sight,
A sight so like his very own.
For wherever he goes he takes this night,
Upon his skin both night and day,
He smiles and thanks his lucky stars.
He'd never want it another way.

Into a Grarrl's Past
By Keikotoriyamacatnip
Back into a shaded past,
Stories of time emerge.
A time with treachery,
Among thieves a demiurge.
Clothed in shadowed garb,
Crimson glint behind his eyes.
A Grarrl with supreme status,
Surrounded by tricks and lies.
So obsessed with power,
A greed without bounds,
Yearning for the jewel,
Of worth so profound.
Guild of Thieves' leader,
Enraptured by his love.
Yet the thief could not see,
The omen from above.
Double-crossed by Kanrik,
Releasing the Bringer of Night.
Deceived by Masila,
Increasing the guild's plight.
Onto Terror Mountain,
The battle raged like snow.
A blizzard of attacks.
Providing an intense show.
Ending in brutal defeat,
Cast aside with shame.
Yet none shall forget,
Galem the thief of fame.
