Who would plunge my forest into war."

"I fight for the weak, who need my aid
And for those whose cause is right."

Koya, of the Forest Clan, what do you most love?
"I love to soar through the forest at night
And gaze at the stars above."

Koya, valiant Koya, to where now do you fly?
"I go now to guard my forest home,
And so I bid you goodbye."

Spooky Korbat Stories

Chapter one tells us the sad, true tale
of a pirate Korbat set adrift at sea.
Down came a dark and ghostly storm,
And never seen again was he.

Chapter two of seven you'll find is set,
Deep within the Haunted Woods.
Telling of a an evil Korbat doctor,
Up to all kinds of no good.

You'll find hosts of Korbat zombies,
Lurching through chapter the third,
Chapter four has both ghosts and
Werebats; it's really quite absurd.

On reaching the fifth chapter, you'll
Be rewarded with the chilling sight
Of a sharp-fanged Korbat vampire,
Dragging his victims into the night.

Chapter six is a murder mystery,
Whodunnit, where, how, and with what.
It's full of twists, so concentrate,
Or you'll lose track of the plot.

In the final chapter, a Korbat ghost
Rattles chains and gives out a moan.
A spooky tale to make you now regret
Choosing to read this book alone.

Seven spine-chilling Korbat tales
To both terrify you and delight.
But a word of warning: after you're done,
You'd better not turn out the light...

A Korbat's Might

Wings stretched out wide he gracefully hovers,
Body light as a cloud, his heart beating fast.
The grace of the night can be felt on his shoulders,
The soft rippling winds caress his face.

He lunges forward, blowing right past me,
The power, the spirit, the mind all sound.
I watch as he flies in the shadowed night skies,
Discovering things I have yet to dream of.

This simple creature exuding such freedom
With a flick of his body, not a worry nor care.
I hope someday to rise to his level,
He is the night, he is the moon, he is magic.

A Bad Korbat Day Poem

Glimmering eyes and wings aflutter,
Softens up my heart like butter.
That cute tail just makes me mutter,
So cute that I start to stutter.

Tell me, what could this pet be?
I have to take one home with me!
I looked around and now I see,
It's a Korbat that fills me with glee!

I simply love this cutesy pet,
I can't believe we'd never met!
If I can't have one I'll be upset,
For they are such a cutesy pet.

Yes, I did rhyme pet with pet,
Why, you ask? Oops, I forget.
But I'll be forever in your debt,
If a Korbat for me you can get!

Now you may wonder why I chose
To write a poem so horrid and propose
That it be chosen to celebrate Korbat Day.
I just broke my rhyming scheme, oy vey.

You see, the editors must be kind of will,
For I am a poet who has no skill.
But yet, I have a niche to fill.
If I must write any more I will be ill.

So I must hope that I will get my way
And be published this very Korbat Day.
Hold on, what is that you say?
Bad poems don't stand a chance?
