Scordrax the Furious

Deathly eyes ablaze, mixed of greens and reds,
Mouths are roaring; the warning of the fight.
Wings unfurling; a monster with two heads,
The emerald Scorchio will soon take flight...

Crimson flames burn, destroying the city,
Blackened smoke billowing in the night sky.
Scordrax's master looks on with no pity,
As figures flee from their homes with a cry.

The hulking shadow turns in the crisp air,
His sinister task is nearly complete.
In evil rejoice, he suddenly blares,
As Sakhmet finally accepts defeat...

The savage beast will hunt and burninate,
Townspeople Scordrax will eliminate...

The Scorchio Bard

Turn your heads, friends, to the sky
As he grows nearer still.
This beast of sorts is flying by,
Going where he will.

He travels from points A to B,
Arid deserts to briny sea.
This dragon with fires burning bright,
Stands not for darkness, but for light.

Songs of old and songs of new,
He has learned them all.
Stories told are quite a few,
Ears perk at his call.

Children gather at his feet,
Waiting for a lyric treat,
Holding Petpets soft yet close,
They listen to their dragon-host.

His words give lessons and good news,
This minstrel is quite great.
Neopians of all shades and hues,
Simply cannot wait.

He will go and make his rounds.
From busy cities to lazy towns,
The voices of locals are now humming,
"The Scorchio Bard is soon coming!"

He starts with "Once upon a time,"
And ends with "ever after."
He'll add a song with expert rhyme,
And give the gift of laughter.

Once he stays a couple days,
He leaves upon his merry way.
His wings stretch to the open sky,
He begins to slowly fly.

The people hate to see him go,
To Meridell or Terror Mountain.
They protest but they all know,
He'll bring back joy like fountains.

He might bring back a brand new song,
Written on his voyage long.
But for now he has to go,
This dear, beloved Scorchio.

So they sadly wave goodbye,
As he grows farther still.
This saint of sorts flying by,
Going where he will.

Glubgar

Darting past the boulders,
And mind that lava spill!
Where others might recoil in fear,
Glubgar never will.

The Tyrannian Volcano,
Its shimmering jewels within,
A more than tempting challenge
For that Scorchio to win.

Regardless of the risks inside,
He takes little heed,
Flying on his bright blue wings,
There's none to match his speed.

His trusty club beside him,
Adventure is his name,
Despite the deadly hazards,
To Glubgar it's a game!

His outstretched wings are battered,
His clothes are burnt and black,
He hears a crash behind him,
Fly on and don't look back!

Total concentration,
Round perils great he soars,
Another swift manoeuvre,
Has saved his neck once more.

Dark and Heat are closing in,
He must escape, he knows,
But for Glubgar, at each new test,
The thrill just grows and grows!

Deeper through the tunnels,
With danger on every turn,
Boiling rock surrounds him-
Will that Scorchio ever learn?

Water and Fire, A Scorchio Acrostic

Serenity, the surface gleams,
Calmer, softer than it seems.
Orange shimmer, far below,
Reef and tidal sheen do glow.
Curling, coiling, wild, untamed,
Hot and brilliant, molten flame.
Irregular, the fire's sheen,
Ocean flame, so rarely seen.

Inconceivable, so strange,
Never found in water's range.

Molten fire in the blue?
And who did breathe it, there's no clue.
Red and gold, exhaled gleam,
Around the coral reef, doth stream.
Quick, the glimpse of creature's form,
Unique, his colors, bright and warm.
A rapid flick of tail, gold,
Swiftly gliding through the cold.

Curious, his swim begins,
Orange flicker, silken fins.
Luminous, scales shine,
Dark gold and orange do entwine.

What could breath flame in the deep?
And then between the seagrass, creep?
The form seems like a dragon's shape,
Eerie in this dark landscape.
Rapid flicker, form doth glow,
Silent, swimming deep below.
