Grarrl Day

On a sunny Friday,
the ground began to shake.
It was the sound of a thousand Grarrls
parading and eating bargasuarus steaks.

I groaned and tried to shut my ears,
the day had come too fast.
I sighed sadly and sincerely hoped
that the day wouldn't drag on and last.

My Gelert skidded into my room,
cowering in fear.
With a quivering paw she pointed out the window,
where the Grarrls were doing
something quite queer...

They jumped and stomped,
roaring to the skies.
The rest of the land resounded,
with the sound of awakened Neopian's cries.

The Grarrls went off to celebrate,
and I sighed with sheer relief.
Hopefully, the Grarrls would stay in Tyrannia,
way far off to the east.

My pets sat around the table,
scowling from lack of sleep,
Because the Grarrls had wasted
no time in rejoicing
the day that was theirs to keep.

Illusen Glade

Casting some spells
with her hair in a braid,
Sat little Illusen
on her little glade.

Jhudora glared past,
She saw her sister's glade,
She knew that was where,
Her sister always played.

So Jhudora sat
On her big purple cloud,
And thought of a way,
To get Illusen's crowd.

So that night at the glade,
And she couldn't be loud,
The glade had a raid,
And Jhudora was proud.

When entered Illusen
Her smile went fade,
She was in a state of confusion,
And on the floor she laid.

The Neopians felt pity,
They really felt bad,
They did her many favors,
And Illusen was glad.

Illusen then promised,
That if they brought her things,
She would give them food and potions,
And Illusen grew back her wings.

So that, my friends, is why,
Jhudora is always mad.
And Illusen, you can help her,
So that she is always glad.

Something To Holler About Cheeseroller

"Step right up!" I heard someone holler,
"Come and play the latest game of Cheeseroller!
Just buy a cheese and hold it tight,
Then race down the hill as quick as light!"

I instantly knew that this was the game for me,
After all, I was the fastest Lenny,
Since I was ready for a good, long run,
This game is gonna be tons of fun!

"Keep the cheese if you finish in a minute,
As well as lots of NPs to go with it!"
The cheese was surely extremely yummy,
I knew it would fit perfectly into my tummy!

After contemplating, I chose the honey,
That cheese had better be worth my money!
The cheese under my wing, I trudge up the hill,
That honey cheese shall be mine, I know it will.

"3, 2, 1, GO!" The race had started,
Down the hill, I quickly darted,
I held the cheese very steadily,
Hoping it wouldn't get too sticky.

Low branches and potholes appeared in my way,
If I wasn't careful, I'll have to pay,
For a moment I lost my concentration,
I slammed into a rock and (also) lost my patience.

In less than a second, I was back on my feet,
I knew I had to increase my speed,
Diving left and right with all my might,
Soon, the finish line was in sight!

Feeling happy, I did a forward somersault,
In a distance, I could hear the audience applaud,
A gust of wind brought my cheese across the line,
I finally realized that the cheese was all mine!

I headed back home, nibbling on my cheese,
My pocket was much heavier with all the NPs,
I'll certainly be back to play this game,
I wished my luck would always be the same!

The Travelling Shoyru

Sometimes it is easy for you
And sometimes it is hard
But just sitting in Neopia Central
Will turn you into lard

My Shoyru has been everywhere
And our travels have been grand
From the Haunted Woods to Tyrannia
Even the Faerieland

Whether it's fulfilling a noble quest
Or chasing a Blumaroo
You can always bet
That we find some things to do

We got a bit scared in the Woods
We got frostbite on Terror Mountain
And when our travels really got nasty
We'd sprint to the Healing Fountain

Lost Desert games are our calling
Pyramids and Scarab 21
We rack up all the Neopoints
And besides... it's just so fun!

We've even encountered the Snow Faerie
She asked us for some sweets
Unluckily, we didn't have any
So she reluctantly made ends meet

But my Shoyru's favorite place
Is the Battledome, you see
Oh no, she's not a bully;
In fact, she's as sweet as can be

But my Shoyru's got a policy:
Whether you're a Lupe or an Aisha
You should never let your guard down
And let a mean ol' Grundo waste ya.

So here she is, battling now
These battles, she's fought 15
8 she's won and 5 she's lost
Oh boy, is she ever keen!

The Lost Desert; we've even been there
And our favorite place is Coltzan's Shrine
At one point, he raised my Shoyru's level
Old wise king... he's so divine!

So now you know the escapades
Of my Shoyru and me.
So get right up and start a trail!
Just take it straight from me!

Hazy Tomorrow

Deep in the heart of Meridell
Where Skarl and his royal family dwell
The darkness watches this condemned land
Neither Sloth nor Hubrid
ever had a scheme so grand
To make all Neopets hear their death-knell.

Deep within the castle walls
Where Skarl for his brave knight calls
The darkness cackles at Jeran the knight
The Lupe crusader's end is soon in sight
'Ere long, Neopia weeps as Jeran falls.

Deep within the rolling plains
Where Skarl rules all his domains
The darkness seeks to make it black
To rend in Neopia, a festering crack
By use of their dark, ill-gotten gains

Deep within Neopian hearts
Lo, behold, a fire starts!
The darkness cowers at this new light
They cannot stand it, it's shining too bright
The Chias and the Eyries
have destroyed the dark arts.

The haze of tomorrow thus is cleared
Because unity, evil has always feared
And every Neopet has always known
That here, no one is ever alone
It's evident whenever darkness disappears.

Deep in the heart of some land far away,
Where innocents frolic and play
The darkness has found a new land
This time better than they had before planned
To invade, desecrate, and inside forever stay.

But no Neopet will fear this anymore,
Because it's happened a thousand times before
"The good guys win! Love conquers all!"
And ever so our foes will fall
So goes the land of virtue's lore.
