Every day in December
I dash oh-so-quickly
To claim my prize
At the Advent Calendar.

The movie is nice,
But often I skip it,
As I hurry to find
The hidden little tidbit.

Today as I go
So happy am I
I dash to and fro
Without knowing why.

Excited I am
When I actually see
My grand prize is
A fire Faerie!

I run to the chat
To yell with glee
But then I find out
It's not only me.

So when I try to sell
No one will buy!
I sit down on the curb
And begin to cry.

Then Kauvara appears.
She says, "Don't wail, my friend,
Within a year, your Faerie
Will be worth thousands again."

I smile through my tears,
And make a visit to the bank,
Put my Faerie in my SDB,
Before I visit Happy Valley again.

December's Joys

Oh the time of year is near,
Neopets everywhere find so dear,
Christmas stockings on the walls,
Green pine trees with rainbow balls.

Warm hot cocoa bubbles in a mug,
You're dear sweet Neopets need a holiday hug,
The Faeries feel ever so jolly,
They bless Neopian residents with gifts and lollies.

Snow outside falls down in sheets,
Your warm at home in front of fire heat,
Pets of Neopia suit up in holiday gear,
The time of Christmas paint brushes
is ever so near.

Something Neopians look forward to every year,
Is Advent Calendar gifts that bring in cheer,
What will we find day to day?
Cool new surprises, Neopets' creators say!

If only Christmas lasted all year,
The warm love and joy we find so dear,
Would make the world a happier place,
And would put a smile on everyone's face!

The Happy Meerca

One day a happy Meerca
Was frolicking to and fro
Until he came to a Grarrl that said,
"This is as far as you can go."

The Meerca was very puzzled at this
And asked the Grarrl, "How come?"
The Grarrl just stared and growled at him
And scared the poor Meerca numb.

The Meerca walked away
Not as happy as before
But came upon the Grarrl again
And decided to ask once more.

"Oh please let me pass,"
The Meerca sadly pleaded
"Not even a Grarrl," he said
Could be so conceited."

At hearing those words
The Grarrl didn't know what to do
He thought for a moment
And realized it was true.

He said, "I'll let you through
On one condition.
That you be my friend
Beyond recognition."

The Meerca was glad
That the argument had come to an end
That he was able to pass
And had made a good friend.

The Neopian world
is a wondrous place,
from the mysterious islands,
to the station of space.

But not all the creatures
that live there are nice,
some would steal your belongings,
turn your blood to ice.

The Pant Devil, the Swamp Ghoul,
the Monocerous too,
be wary where you go,
be careful what you do.

your items, your Neopet,
indeed your very life,
are in danger,
lest you venture too far at night

You know when they're around,
you feel, not see who's there,
the tingle in your spine,
The decaying sent in the air.

The intention is not to scare you,
for most people are quite safe,
but never venture out alone,
to where the evil waits.

Evil Aishas

Why don't Aishas have open eyes?
I'm not certain why
They have 4 ears, did they come from the sky?

Aliens, yes that's just what they are
you'd think with closed eyes
they don't go very far
They hear very well, at least we know that
the question is, are they aliens or cats?

And that sheepish grin,
who knows what they're thinking?
How to take over the world and control the land
How can they do that? They have no hands.
Do you think they possibly
pick things up with their extra ears?

I suppose they sniff their way around
since they cannot see
Sniffing out plans to take over the world..
along with some tea
They slurp their tea, discuss and pout
about their evil plan..
while their owners are out.

When they come back home,
the Aishas return to being sweet
Their owners, not suspicious, hand them a treat
The Aisha eats it down,
with an evil sneer on their face
for tomorrow, Aishas will be the last of the race.

For everyone will be gone
except for the small Alien cats.
Their evil plan is to turn... everyone into hats!
The Aishas will wear the hats
to cover their second ears
Then go to another planet in tears

Humans will pick up the small
colored kittens and think,
"Aww, how cuuttee" the human will coo
not knowing the Aishas
will take over their world, too.

Never judge such a cute thing by its cover
For this small Aisha is your enemy not lover
Making you into a hat
then returning back to space
They've accomplished their job,
with a smirk on their face.
