POOGLE DAY SPECIAL
Have You Ever Been To The Poogle Parade?
by Missdizzle101
Have you ever been
To the Poogle Parade?
Have you ever seen
The line that they made?
If you have not,
I'll tell you what's on!
I've been there a lot;
I've been there since dawn!
First the trumpet sounds;
The festival starts!
Poogles make their rounds
As they win our hearts.
They toss out sweets,
Poogle candies, too!
There's lots of treats
Just waiting for you!
Do you remember
The Poogle race, friends?
Well, this September,
They race 'round the bends!
Do you recall
The MSPP?
Well, he's back this fall,
As malevolent as can be!
Just go and play;
Don't be afraid!
Please go today
To the Poogle Parade!
Hope you have fun,
Meet the Poogle Crew.
Maybe, when you're done,
You'll create one, too!

Lost Poogle Queen
by Kaibeau
An ageless figure dwells
Where the nomad winds go roaming.
Sentinel, she guards the coast
Where the tides of time are foaming.
A Poogle once, though who can say
What form she now possesses --
The mist that cloaks the land in white;
The sand the sea caresses.
Ethereal Queen of elder days,
Of kingdoms lost to age.
Guardian of traveling Poogles
Who cut over her waves.
How eyes would widen;
How hearts would race
At the visage of that queen.
Her virtue shining, her mercy bright,
But none are there to see.
And so, alone, she minds the way
Through which the vessels pass,
A shape that dwindles on the cliffs
Upon which the stormheads clash.

Transparent Poogle Joy
by Indulgences
I used to think transparent 'pets
Were terrifying things.
I never wanted anything
Transparent in its name.
But then, one day I zapped my 'pet
Into a Poogle new.
I thought, Okay, this might be good,
Its color simply blue.
I zapped my Poogle days on end.
I sought a color change.
But, suddenly, I got a shock --
It now looked quite deranged!
Transparent was my Poogle now,
Its veins so obvious.
Its skeleton was ghostly white.
It was cadaverous!
I didn't know what I should do,
To zap or give away.
I didn't want to own his self.
I wasn't very brave!
One day I realized, with a start,
I loved my Poogle freak.
I loved his organs visible.
I loved his dead physique!
So now I own transparent 'pets
And treasure them a lot.
It only took one Poogle 'pet
To change the way I thought!

MSP Is For Me
by Dr_tomoe
A parade of Poogles
Occurs on this day
of all shapes and sizes
and colors, I say!
Those wonderful 'pets
having so much fun,
and all of the colors
under the sun.
But for me, all this
is too sunny and happy.
The Poogle for me
is scary and scrappy.
Oh sure, he looks sweet,
appearing bright and yellow.
But that's just the surface
of this malevolent fellow.
Deep down, he's dark,
twisted, and evil.
More evil than Sloth, Meepits,
The Sway, and Pant Devil.
A clever disguise,
and now you can see,
for an evil villain like myself,
My Poogle is MSP.

Poogle Gone Bad
by Nikitafernandes
A cuddly plushie Poogle
Walked up to me one day
And sat upon my doorstep,
And begged me to play.
So, I brought a tiny ball
And played a game of fetch,
And I stopped for a moment
To sit down and stretch.
And, while I was resting,
An angry little boy
Threw stones at the Poogle,
Like he was just a toy.
Before I could come to his rescue,
The Poogle's eyes began to glow,
They became a bright red,
His teeth began to show.
He ran toward the tiny boy
And scared him away,
And then the little Poogle
Ran before I had anything to say.
Never anger a Poogle,
Never make him mad,
Or you might see
A Poogle gone bad!

The Other Day I Went Poogle Racing
by Hejut
Standing in the stalls,
Clutching popcorn,
I can't quite remember which Poogle I bet on.
Oh, right!
It was Poogle One.
Neopian sport advertisements everywhere,
The crowd is already coming alive.
Did I really bet on Poogle One?
Oh, right!
It was Poogle Two.
Why are they all identical?
Don't they look a bit different
To the Poogles you get today?
I don't think my bet was on Poogle Two.
Oh, right!
It was Poogle Three.
See, I can barely tell them apart...
Except for maybe the chubby one.
Actually, I'm still not sure about my bet.
Oh, right!
It was Poogle Four.
And they're off, flying over hurdles.
My popcorn gets jostled from my grasp.
Poogle Four doesn't seem
Like the type I'd bet on.
Oh, right!
It was Poogle Five.
Hey, that's the chubby one!
He's doing really well!
I'm so glad I bet on Poogle Five.
Flailing in the stalls,
Having lost all my popcorn,
I scream and cheer for Poogle Five.
So, in the end, after that race,
I found out I hadn't bet on a Poogle after all.

The Zombie Poogle (Or Let's Get The Jelly!)
by Chavo_guerrero
I'm a zombie Poogle,
Won't you come inside?
Listen very closely
And I'll tell you how I died.
Firstly though, don't be afraid,
I promise I won't chew,
Although I might be hungry,
I never would eat you!
It's Poogle Day today, you know?
It comes 'round every year.
So, I'll tell my tale if you like.
Do you want to hear?
Once upon a time I lived,
Full of life, indeed.
Surrounded by my Poogle friends,
What more did I need?
Until that fateful feast began,
Which happened long ago,
A Poogle Day from yesteryear,
But how was I to know?
We had a giant jelly
(from some fabled land, I guess),
And I really was quite greedy,
I feel I must confess.
As the night wore on,
This pudding wobbled to and fro,
And my hungry Poogle belly
Began to grumble low.
All at once I jumped on top
Without a thought or care,
But the weight of a single Poogle
Was more than it could bear!
Slowly, I sank inside,
Until trapped in a dessert,
And this is how I ceased to be,
But at least it didn't hurt.
And now I am a zombie,
I seek revenge on Poogle Day,
From that evil, yummy jelly,
That stole my life away.
So, pick up spoons and follow me,
Help me in my plight.
We'll eat 'til full this Poogle Day,
And late into the night.
For I'm a hungry zombie,
And I have a debt to pay,
All jelly 'pets should run away,
I'm after them today!

Delightful Poogle Dress
by Flufflepuff
Round, stocky Poogle with eyelashes long,
Stares at her closet, asks, "What to put on?"
Sees a pale gown and thinks herself blessed,
Her heart so light
She might break out into song.
Then she spreads it onto her bed lovingly,
Clapping her small Poogle paws in great glee,
For seldom can Poogles obtain such a dress,
That will make them the grandest
Sight one can see.
This delightful dress is purple and light,
Its sash 'round the waist
To be drawn loose or tight.
It rustles gently like Weewoo feathers,
With wrinkles nestled in places just right.
She dons the gown,
See-through sleeves and all,
And knows she'll be glorious at any ball.
For one of her kind, there is no dress better
Than one that's UB and sure to enthrall.

Poogle Racers: Thoughts On The Starting Line
by Kitchen_quest_ghoul
Lightning fast blur, whizz, jump, win!
The others can't keep up!
Poogle One: Run, dash, skip, leap!
I'll surely win the cup!
They say I'm too distracted;
I don't see what's the fuss.
So focus, Two, and you can--
Ooh, look. Is that a Buzz?
Sure, I'm fast enough to win,
I just don't like hurdles.
A straight race would be more fun...
Although, more like Turdles.
I was once the fastest here.
Speed constant, not in spurts.
Though I may be getting old,
I will still beat these squirts!
I really don't see the fuss;
Racing is too much work.
Me, I just like chocolate!
Does that make me a jerk?

Eppa And Kora
by Lilahne_aluoki
"Mum, Mum, tell me a story!
Tell me a faerie bedtime story!"
Eppa the Poogle, purple as twilight
Looked down on her daughter
And, try as she might,
Had not the heart to tell Kora no.
"One story," Eppa promised,
"Then to bed you should go."
Eppa the Poogle arose each morning
And greeted dawn with a smile,
Though it could be a trial
Getting little Kora
Out of her small bed.
"Awake, sleepy head!
Did you have pleasant dreams?"
"Of faeries!" Kora giggled,
As into her jumper she wriggled.
"Will you tell me a story
Of the Battle Faerie's glory?"
"Tonight," Eppa told her.
"For my best-behaved daughter
I've a story saved up, special,
For little Poogles that behave."
And the grin that Kora gave
Brightened her mum's entire day.
While shopping, Eppa pondered,
"My little girl's
The sweetest Poogle in the world.
A faerie princess she would be,
If it were only up to me."
So, Eppa threaded her sewing needle,
Because she knew Kora would wheedle
A story -- of faeries, of course --
For her bedtime that evening,
Leading to sweet dreaming
As she slept the night through.
"Mum, mum, tell me a story!"
Kora asked with pleading eyes.
"First, try this on for size!"
And Eppa then displayed
The Faerie Queen dress that she'd made
That very afternoon,
And little Kora swooned!
"I'm a faerie!" Kora said,
Wearing her new dress to bed.
And Eppa told Kora the tale
Of faeries both frail and hale,
Then kissed her daughter goodnight,
Leaving on the faerie nightlight.
