The Famed Skeith Hair Stylist

as you tell him about your hair.
Offering his advice on a style,
which he says may take a while.

You accept his idea on the cut,
and he begins his shampoo strut.
Washing your hair with a dance,
like he was in a styling trance.

After your rinse he conditioned,
it was a task he'd commissioned.
Then your hair was finally ready,
and you made sure to keep steady.

The Skeith Stylist begins to snip,
telling you this look is very hip.
You accept his comments with ease,
especially after his guarantees.

Once he's done with his shears,
he blow-dries your hair in tiers.
Using the best hairspray and gel,
which feels like a magical spell.

Proudly, he gives you a final look,
placing his brush inside a nook.
Giving you a mirror, you smile big --
your hair is so cool you do a jig!

What's With The Wings?

Skeiths come from a prehistoric era,
When Neopets, as we know it, was new.
Official records were not kept;
Unanswered questions began to brew.

For a Neopet so large and broad,
With sharp teeth and scaly skin, 
Why are the wings that carry them
So scrawny and so thin?

Were Skeiths once a smaller size,
Until the species began to eat too much?
Skeiths will eat furniture and rocks,
Almost anything that they touch.

Skeiths' small wings impair their flight,
Bumping around with no real direction. 
Good thing Skeiths have thick skin --
They sure need the protection! 

Not all are against the tiny wings they see,
Some say a Skeith's wings are small and cute.
But it's still a mystery as to how
Such small wings can carry a brute.

Skeiths Are Greedy

Have you ever seen a Skeith
That's missed its dinner time?
Many would be quick to say
A hungry Skeith's a crime!

They have a massive belly,
Which rumbles when not filled,
And they really have to eat a lot
To keep that giant build.

If an owner is not careful
To keep their pet Skeith fed,
They may find something tasty
In their inventory instead!

A Skeith will eat most anything,
So keep that paint brush hid,
And don't dare take him swimming
Or he'll eat that giant squid!

When finally he's had enough
Of chomp and chew and slurp,
He'll lie back, lick his lips,
And give a mighty BURP!

A full-up Skeith is happy,
Content with what he's chewed,
And he'll be your very closest friend
As long as you have food.

Let's celebrate this Skeith Day
By cooking up some treats,
And then stand back a distance
And watch how fast he eats!

A Very Hungry Skeith

Down at the plant where
jelly is processed,
The Buzz Foreman makes sure
that the quality is the best.

Red, blue, and green
are what they need.
For everything else,
a hungry Skeith feeds.

It might not seem like
a fair job for the Buzz,
but for the Skeith at the end
it's the best job there is!

All sorts of yummy foods
get mixed in with the jelly,
and all of those snacks
go right into his belly!

Ice cream, cakes, pudding
of all sizes and flavor,
all he must do is sit back
and enjoy his treats to savor.

Of course, he shouldn't eat the jelly
(It's bad for his digestion).
If he does, he'll breath fire
or get a bad cause of nausea.

But he can keep eating those treats
as long as the foreman works,
getting the jelly out of his path
and he'll gobble the rest with a smirk.

He might seem like a glutton
and the premise, slightly absurd,
but you'd rather have a hungry Skeith there
than in your own kitchen cupboards.

The Mighty Skeith

The Skeith is less than handsome;
His appearance is absurd,
With an underbite and oversized ears
And wings that suit a bird.

His tiny wings and love of things
Will keep him close to home,
But strength and solid build
Are assets in the Battledome.

Because his girth is noteworthy,
He eats just to stay well;
He’s happy nomming all day long
In a Neolodge hotel.

And when it comes to eating,
The Skeith’s not hard to please;
He’ll down a Secret Lab Map piece
Or Musho Mushy Peas!

But one thing in Neopia 
Will bring him to his knees;
The poor Skeith will get very sick
If he devours cheese.

So, feed him well and often,
And train him all the while;
He’ll be a good and loyal 'pet
And reward you with a smile.

No Cheese, Please!

Skeiths are known for gobbling food,
They sure do love to eat!
Although they enjoy being lazy,
You may see one run for a treat!

Skeiths snack on healthy goods,
Such as vegetables and fruits.
One time it was reported
That a Skeith ate a whole bamboo shoot!

There is one thing a Skeith cannot eat
Without becoming terribly sick.
It's allergic to any type of cheese,
Eating it causes Neezles to break out thick!

Yes, Skeiths will eat rocks 
And face no consequence.
But if a Skeith gets a taste of cheese,
It is a serious offence.

So, keep Skeiths happy, 
Healthy, and Neezle-free,
By wrapping up any cheese
That's left around to see,
Please!

Guarding The Door

Who is this yellow Skeith guarding the door
Leading to King Skarl's chambers?
Protecting the monarch with his very life
From all of Neopia's dangers,
Like tricky thieves, nagging ne'er-do-wells,
And argumentive retainers?
Dieticians, politicians,
And gung-ho physical trainers?

Who is this dashing young Skeith
Armored in bright gold,
With his sword held forthrightly
And his expression quite bold?
He's blocking our way to the throne room
To meet with the king;
Riffling through the picnic hamper
That we'd thought to bring.

This scowling Skeith that doesn't approve
Of our meager tribute of food,
And tells us in such a way
That's just short of being rude,
"The King's sleeping, or eating;
One of the two.
And you're not to disturb him...
Unless you've brought stew."

Skarl's Personal Guard this is,
And he takes great care
That his king isn't bothered;
Really, who would dare
To sneak past his sharp gaze,
And his even sharper sword?
Hanso once managed, 
But hey, he was bored!

So, when visiting the castle
Next time you're in Meridell,
And you're stopped by this guardsman,
Go on, wish him well!
He's just doing his job
To serve His Majesty the king,
Which, right now, means 
bringing Skarl a Chicken Leg Wing!

Maraquan Skeith

On land she was ungainly
(Agility was not a mark of her breed),
But she so longed to be nimble,
To traverse the world with speed!

Heights always made her dizzy
And she never explored the sky,
For what use are your tiny wings
If you're too big to fly?

Her heart belonged to the ocean,
All the mysteries it concealed,
But for a simple yellow Skeith
Its secrets would not yield.

She befriended creatures of the tides,
Day and night she roamed the shore,
They brought her pearls and seashells
Rescued from the ocean floor.

Her friends begged her to join them
But she knew she couldn't stay,
No gills to brave the briny deep
When at last they swam away.

Day and night she toiled
For the answer to her plight,
A way to ever-banish
A form that'd never felt quite right.

At last, up to the Rainbow Pool
She crept and dove straight in!
She found that she could suddenly breathe
As her wings smoothed into fins.

Now every reef's an adventure
As she swims about with ease,
A beautiful Maraquan Skeith
Discovering the seas.

Some Skeith Snacks

My Skeith is very hungry,
He wants food right away.
I wonder what food I can buy
To feed him on Skeith Day?

First a Chocolate Skeith Cone,
Then one that is mint chip,
Washed down with a Skeith Fizzy Drink
That he can slurp and sip.

Next a Filling Skeith Steak,
Which looks like a Skeith tail.
But it better not be,
‘Cause that would make him wail!

How about a Skeith Sundae?
So decadent and sweet.
Paired with a Skeith Burger,
They’ll find it good to eat. 

There are some foods out there, though,
That you will sadly find,
If you feed them to your Skeith
They will surely mind. 

Don’t feed your Skeith a salad,
Or any kind of fruit.
For, if you give THESE to your Skeith,
Your gesture will be moot. 

Remember that Skeiths like to snack,
Remember all the time.
So give your 'pet a Skeith Day treat,
So I can end this rhyme!
