Ixi Haiku
By Smellypiglet

Little green Ixi
Prancing through the lush valley
Kicks out hooves and leaps.

Danger approaches
But the Ixi won't quaver
Armed with horns, it's safe.

Putting its head down
Hoofing the ground to prepare
Ixi starts its charge.

Slamming into fiends
Cloven hooves stamping fiercely
'Til enemy leaves

The Ixi has won
All danger has been vanquished
Now go, play in peace.

Ye Olde Coffee Shoppe
By Xx22tango

I'm walking over to the Coffee Shop
For my morning cup of tea
As I think of all the delicacies
My mind is filled with glee

I hold my Neopet's hand in mine and
March across the street
The Art Centre is coming into view
We imagine all the things to eat

Alas, we are here
In front of Ye Olde Coffee Shoppe
We open the door, it gives a slight jingle
We rush in quickly and sit down with a plop

As the sweet aromas of kabuggle mocha and
Thornberry java with cream
Starts to slowly fill our nostrils
My Neopet and I start to beam

I call the shopkeeper over
And order as many as I please
A cup of mint tea, house blend coffee
And spironut with cream
As we take a sip of everything,
we feel our laughlines crease

At last we are stuffed and satisfied
Our stomachs are starting to ache
But perhaps I'm going to take
Back to our Neohome
For dessert, a nice tigersquash swirly cake

For King Coltzan III
By Sarende

Far away in the desert,
eroded by sand and time,
stands a monument built for a hero,
The late King Coltzan's Shrine.

How did he gain this honor?
What noble deeds did he do?
If you wish to hear, come closer,
I will pass the stories to you.

A better king there was never.
He was kind and just and fair.
He feared no danger or peril,
if fate should put him there.

He saved Princess Lightfoot from evil,
he fought the villain bare-pawed.
He returned the conquering hero,
and gained much applause.

See, he was always there for the needy,
to lend a hand to the weak.
He never forgot the forgotten,
nor passed over the humble and meek.

So though he can no longer lead us,
we must not forget the king,
come to his shrine and remember,
the ruler who gave everything.

Mutant Aisha
By Nickle317

A little mutant Aisha was going to school.
She wished she was beautiful like others.
Her wobbly fangs made her constantly drool.
And she was always teased by her brothers.

Named Sally by her folks,
She accepted the name.
She took all the jokes,
Tried to act just the same.

Her thoughts filled with grief,
As she thought of a pal.
Those thoughts were brief,
Since it wasn't likely at all.

Her school came in sight.
She gave a great sigh.
She thought of her plight.
As three pets passed by.

They were giggling, all three.
A jolly small group.
Sally hid by a tree.
While her ears sadly drooped.

She entered the doors totally prepared.
When she heard a voice call her name.
A Darigan Eyrie came as close as he dared.
To show that he was the same.

Sally spent the day,
Playing with her new friend.
She knew he would stay.
Now that's a happy end!

The Snow Faerie
By Horizongirly

Her name was Shelly,
She hated the snow,
As she would run away,
All the Neopians would know

Her brother picked on her,
He threw snowballs at her face,
Tears would slide down her cheeks,
Put yourself in her case

She hated wearing,
Layers of clothes,
Bundled up,
All the way to her nose

"Shelly Shivers" he would call her,
He would tease her until
He thought she was done,
She couldn't take any more,
She began to run

Her eyes halfway shut,
The wind blew across her face,
As she kept running,
She dreamt to get away from this place

She liked nothing here at all,
Not the darkness half a day,
All she could think of,
Was running away

Not paying attention,
She hit a tree and fell into the dark,
Everything was silent,
Everything was dark

She was scared, all right,
She thought she fell into snow,
But it was to warm,
And a lady stood by her,
In a colorful glow

"Shhh..." she said!
"Are you a F-F-Faerie?"
The lady didn't answer,
Her cheeks as red as a roseberry

"Let's take you home," she said
Every day she's in the snow,
With that look on her face,
As the faerie had with that special glow
