Peophin Day Special

Rider of the Waves
by eleganza_lights

Marak, one of the twelve protectors,
Sits in the Hall of Heroes as a defender.
Sea Warrior, Rider of the Waves,
Some of the names that are engraved.

With the ability to lead and courage to fight,
He lives the responsibility to make all right.
His story starts in a small underwater town,
Peophins co-existed with farmers around.

Over the years, with over-fishing ahead,
Lack of food was met with dread.
The townsfolk had only one to blame,
Peophins caused this is what they claimed.

Marak was brave, Marak wanted peace,
But the fishermen had no plans to cease.
Land folk initiated the first attack,
On his orders, peophins would counteract.

The battle continued so long into the night,
But Marak’s crew, the land-dwellers plight.
They couldn’t defeat the mighty sea,
And retreated back disappointingly.

Marak was angry, Marak wanted to win,
But instead he offered peace again.
This time persuaded, the land leader agreed,
To find a solution that everyone would heed.

Many years later, with everyone at ease,
King Altador heard of Marak’s good deeds.
He called for his clan to live along the shore,
And have Marak’s statue erected in Altador.

Peopatra’s Petpets
by chihuahua__89

Enjoying the peaceful quiet of dawn,
Peopatra begins her day with a little yawn.
Fastening gold bangles and straightening her robes,
Her calling as steady as the Seeral River flows.
Gracefully gliding through the streets to her shop,
Waving hello to Osiri, but she doesn’t stop.
While the aroma of freshly baked Ummagine roll is tempting,
She know there are so many who are eagerly expecting,
And sure enough when she walks through the door,
A chorus of happy sounds fill the store.
She smiles as a Wadjet nestles around her neck,
And a Horus lands nearby to give her a gentle peck.
A Dua scratches the floor by its bowl,
And a Seti paces around ready to stroll.
Fostering Petpets is her life’s mission,
Taking them all in no matter their condition.
And when they’re ready, she’ll find them a home,
Forever Peopatra’s Petpets, no matter where they may roam.

The Peophin Who Couldn't Swim
by island80

Deep underwater by the ocean floor
Lived a Peophin who yearned to explore
Though her tail splashed just as well as a fin
Unlike the others, she just couldn’t swim!

Her salty tears glistened and fell on the beach
Because being normal felt just out of reach
She watched as her friends swam from ocean to sea
And thought to herself, “Why isn’t it me?”

On Peophin Day, she took off for a trip
At the Rainbow Fountain, she went for a dip
She cautiously entered the shimmering pool
A needed escape from the insults so cruel

All of a sudden a faerie appeared
And said with a smile that felt warm and sincere,
"Nothing about you is broken, you see
You're just a bit different, exactly like me!"

Since she too was different than all of the rest
Naia the faerie explained to the pet,
“I know that your differences feel like a curse,
But know that there’s beauty in something diverse.”

With one simple spell the pet started to shift
And beautiful wings gave Peophin a lift!
She whinnied and neighed as she flew in delight
With new Faerie features, her future was bright

The naysayers looked on with curious eyes
As happy Peophin took off to the skies
And though she never quite traveled the seas
With courage and wisdom, she finally felt free!

At Sea With Venuquin
by spidero

You’re on a ship deck far from home;
For miles around, you’re fully alone.
The skies turn black, the wind bites cold;
You’re unprepared for what might unfold.

The rain tears down, the waves crash high;
You’re thrown off course by sea and sky.
When the storm finally fades, quieting down,
You gather resolve to head back toward town.

The maps are soaked! Hope starts to recede:
The ink has blurred so that no one can read!
Where are you now? Which way should you turn?
As you wonder aloud, the sea starts to churn.

But this isn’t the same as it was in the storm;
From deep below comes a swiftly rising form.
Gold gems and a mane? A horned Peophin?
It’s the great sea mother: Venuquin!

She meets your gaze, eyes thoughtful and steady,
And gestures at you to get your crew ready.
With a shove of her tail, she turns the bow north,
Then swimming ahead, she beckons you forth.

Venuquin leads you on, until break of day,
Guiding you forward, showing the way,
Until Krawk Island appears on the horizon,
Barely visible under the bright, rising sun.

The Peophin mother turns back and winks,
Then under the wave her bright horn sinks.
She swims off back south to look for the lost,
To guide sailors home, no matter the cost.

How Do You Peophin?
by tylerhuyser

How do you Peophin?
Sometimes my Peophin is an ancient Relic,
Carved from stone, certified authentic,
Wouldn’t you say—aesthetic?

How do you Peophin?
Sometimes my Peophin is a Desert Queen,
Amongst the City of Sakhmet, she slips unseen,
Searching for a specific street urchin…

How do you Peophin?
Sometimes my Peophin is a portrait in Oil Paint,
A chef d’oeuvre; I have no complaints!
A masterpiece I am proud to acquaint.

How do you Peophin,
Sometimes my Peophin is an Eventide wonder,
Where day and night meet, and the skies crack thunder,
Like a humid hush in midsummer.

However you choose to Peophin,
Just don’t ever forget—
They’re your fiercest friend, you surest bet.
On their special day, show no regret—
Take them on an adventure they won’t forget!

Wise Peophin of Brightvale Motery
by qlobal

Brightvale’s clouds cast across emerald skies,
The spirits are bright and their king is wise.
Within the forest, behind the trees and vines.
A happy Peophin sells motes, well designed.

She waves her hooves with welcoming eyes,
This Peophin loves guests, to no one’s surprise.
For Battledome goers and tourists that roam,
Every Pet finds a mote they’d like to take home.

She hands you a Fire Mote that burns in hand.
The Gold Mote, so shiny, is just as grand.
The Ree Mote is so small, it can cause confusion.
While the Weewoo Mote is just an illusion.

Her hooves are muddy from her Dirt Mote,
The magic in the air with the spells she wrote.
The Peophin knows all, she has a gift.
The power in each Mote charges and shifts.

Although Brightvale castle is filled with books,
Her Motery shop is where wisdom is hooked.
In a dim place, her wares are odd and clever.
Buy a Mote from the Peophin and be blessed forever!

The Peophin Who Sells Precious Pals
by _brainchild_

Miss Peopatra is a Pet
Who sells friends which you haven’t met.
This Peophin has lots of options
Which will be a lot of fun.

She cares for Petpets with no homes.
Amidst the dingy streets they roamed.
Now they will be adopted. Why,
This heartfelt story makes me cry!

The Blobikins, a jolly fellow,
With demeanor oh so mellow,
Will enchant your Neopet
As one of many you can get.

An Ettaphant is two in one.
Two Petpets surely get more done!
Anubis is a friendly guy
Which many love, and I see why.

The Peophin sells me a friend.
My Geb shall please me to no end!
I’ll recommend her shop to others,
From my teachers to my brothers.

Venuquin the Peophin
by da_shanuka

The mother of all Peophin
Her name is Venuquin
Her skin as blue as the water
Have you been able to spot her

Helping lost souls
It’s one of her goals
But only in the ocean
Where she feels the motion

The waves are her guide
She enjoys them wide eyed
The beauty of the sea
Where she longs to be

She has made many friends
Amongst those she defends
Like those that made a rumpus
Something about a compass

Her name she does not speak
Don’t bother to seek
She only comes to those in need
Or have to be freed

Peopatra's Petpets
by merionelle

The back alleys of Sakhmet are the meanest streets around,
It's rare indeed for compassion and charity to be found.
But a young Peophin named Peopatra saw the plight of the weak and alone,
And resolved to take in the stray Petpets and give them a loving home.

A shelter and a hospital though she was short on wealth,
She wouldn't stop till the Petpets in her care were nursed right back to health.
Finding an owner to take care of them became her greatest joy,
Soon her reputation spread far and wide among the hoi polloi.

She raised the funds to buy a place to take care of them all,
Soon she heralded the grand opening of Peopatra's Petpet Stall.
From the slightly judgemental Anubis to the affectionate Wadjet,
There's sure to be a faithful companion here for your beloved Neopet.

So why not take a trip out to her stall and see if any would suit you,
An intelligent Geb, shy Scamander or perhaps a playful Kepru.
She loves them all so dearly and will protect them come what may,
A monetary donation would be much appreciated on this Peophin Day.

A Peo’s Idle Mind
by qeenoneo

She wanders the dark depths of the ocean floor,
she does not know herself anymore.
Time, to her, feels like a crawl,
all that venture too close will always end in a brawl.

She is a Zombie now, but always a Peophin at heart,
it is beyond her control and does not intend to tear them apart.
She no longer remembers her own name,
and all her instincts drive her to do now is maim.

Her lifeless eyes, clouded with a desire for the run,
trust me; you will not think it to be fun.
All she feels now is an unquenchable thirst,
you best run and try not to be first.

A Zombie Peophin who resides in the depths,
all who mistakenly get close, she intercepts.
A once lively soul who was just trying to find,
a purpose for herself, anything but an idle mind.

The Brightvale Motekeeper
by mooseydoom101

There are many goods for sale in Brightvale
The shops have fruits, scrolls, and armour for sale
Even though magic items are abound
The Motery is where the best are found!

A cheerful blue Peophin runs this shop
If you're in Brightvale, make this your first stop
Elemental Motes float around the room
Its a beautiful display as they zoom

If you have Mote questions, feel free to ask
The Peophin here is up to this task
Her knowledge of magical Motes is vast
And all that information she'll broadcast

She can ramble about Motes for an age
But not much is known about this cloaked mage
This Peophin's name is private to most
Despite her friendly nature as shop host

Though this Peophin is mysterious
About magical Motes she's serious
Fire, Mud, Hail, and even the Ee Motes
To this magical practice she devotes

If you'd like to see her whole mote array
Visit the Brightvale Motery today!

To Love a Mutant Peophin
by sierrasiobhan

Not every love begins at first sight
Some love stories take a while to write
The Mutant Peophin is jarring at first glance
But so easy to love if you give them a chance

Three glowing green eyes may seem a bit much
But in no time at all your heart will be touched
Despite their claws so jagged and slender
They're kind and sweet and lovingly tender

Foul yellow scales may adorn their face
But they carry themselves with the utmost grace
Look past the jelly-like tendrils that crest their mane
Have a chat and learn their most intelligent brain

Coiled behind are four slimy tails
With beautiful colors and gorgeous details
Extra limbs even sprout from their side
But in caring for others they take great pride

Mutant Peophins teach us not to judge by the cover
Get to know one on the inside and you'll soon discover
Despite what you may see at the start
Friendships are built from getting to know each other by heart

Our Fair Peopatra
by dihybrid

Who cares for the least of us,
The ailing, weak, and small?
It's Peopatra, desert beauty,
Owner of the Petpet Stall!

Her tale starts out as many do,
With one small act to start:
Taking in sick Petpets
From the goodness of her heart.

At odds with the desert
And alone in Sahkmet's streets,
It's easy for anyone to suffer
In oppressive heat.

She takes them in and gives them shelter,
Nursing them to health,
And does it for the Petpets,
Not the promise of great wealth.

If you want a Petpet
Swing by Peopatra's stall.
She could always use your help;
She can't afford to feed them all!

Why Do Peophins Love to Swim?
by maculose

Why do Peophins love to swim?
Do they use a thought or go off a whim?
It has something to do with all of the sights,
The ocean’s beauty with colors so bright.

A young Peophin proved this thought.
He swam quite freely, a journey he sought.
The bright blue water shined off of his mane,
While elegant seaweed kept his mind sane.

He wove his hooves through each bright strand,
As the seaweed showed colors so grand.
There were several shells with some being rare.
Colors of orange and pink caused him to stare.

The best part of all was no loud sounds.
The sounds of nature is what he had found.
Other Pets swam just like him.
It seemed they too swam of a whim.

So why do Peophins choose to swim?
It’s not just because they go off a whim.
They choose to swim so they can feel pleased.
They found something to put their mind at ease.

Maractite Peophins
by therainbowsheep

In the ocean, beneath the waves,
In a Maraquan underwater cave,
A clan of Peophin reside,
Emerging only at hide tide.

Coloured teal with patterned markings,
So neon, they're practically sparkling,
These Peophins swim in style.
With happy and knowing smiles.

Underwater they blend with ease,
Keeping to themselves as they please.
Maractite, a colour of camouflage,
Makes seeing them feel like a mirage.

But when they do make themselves known,
And welcome you into their home,
It's certainly well worth the wait -
A day with this clan is great!

They like to play tour guide,
Around Maraqua, they glide.
At the Ruins, they will roam,
Playing in the bubbling pit's foam.

In the heart of the city too they swim
Their hearts full to the brim.
Though shy, Peophins take pride in their land,
And so sometimes offer you their hand!

The Oil Paint Peo
by i_lovee_icecream

Swirling colours,
Across her skin.
Beautiful exterior,
Reflects what’s within.

The coolest tones,
Purples and blues,
With a splash of warm,
Muted yellow hues.

A sea of a canvas,
With mastered strokes.
Magnificent enough,
To impress most folks.

The Oil Paint Peophin,
Glides by the shore.
A flash of brilliance,
Colors to inspire lore.

Resting on a rock,
Waves lap at her tail.
Watching the sun set,
And the distant ships sail.

A gem of a Neopet,
Prismatic and new.
Shining and glossy,
Like the morning dew.

Pretty, Proud, and Powerful Peophins
by chai7705

Swiftly swishing, all while swimming
The tails of Peophins glide
The water's surface, smoothly skimming
Maraquan waves, they ride

O'er floors, they flaunt their floating
Magic while on land
Though it is well-worth noting,
They prefer underwater sand

Hardy hooves can more than handle
Any hurdle that appears! So
Mighty Marak fought village vandals:
The trident-wielding Altador Hero

Faces flanked by famous fins
One near each side's ear
They flex out with a smiling grin
A feature held so dear!

It's more than must to mention
Their majestic, flowing manes
Marvelous, beyond contention
Glamor most wish to attain

There's nothing quite like Peophins' beauty
It's truly beyond compare
Along with strength and sense of duty
A Neopet worth much fanfare!
