Round Table Poker with Commander Lazarr

He’s not exactly a knight of a round table,
But a guard at the table, playing cards, when able.
Once you’ve defeated all the less serious jokers,
It’s time to face Commander Lazarr at poker.

He grits his teeth and tries to look tough,
But is his hand good, or is it a bluff?
You discard and then draw three cards more;
It’s not looking great with a pair of fours.

Lazarr widens his eyes and tilts his head.
When hands are revealed, he’s just shy one red.
You’ve won this hand, but it’s not yet the end:
You still have a champion title to defend.

Lazarr swishes his tail as Chortle deals.
(That Ixi is always too slow, he feels.)
The corners of his mouth turn up in a smirk,
Surely he thinks that this hand will work!

He raises the bets with a gleam in his eye,
His confidence as high as a Draik in the sky.
The discards are made, the new cards are dealt,
And when all hands are laid out on the felt:

“I think that’s my win,” he says with a blush,
Gesturing down at his royal flush.
As he gathers his winnings all into a cup,
He says, “Don’t worry, my friend - you’re still runner up!”

Draiks, Draiks, Draiks!

Fire breathing, sky-soaring Draiks! 
They fly through the air 
Without a care 
Happy go lucky, by the pair!

Flying all around
scales shining all throughout
Their wings carrying them all about 
Soaring far and wide 
They love to fly high

They like to go down to the lake
To see all the Maraquan Draiks. 
Splishing and splashing
there are water Draiks too
Can you spot them out of the blue?

Ears big and wide, they cannot hide. 
It’s best to abide 
When they breathe fire, the temp goes up
So you best move your rump! 

Draik Day calls for cake
For goodness sake
But watch your intake
As they might hate

Long tails and scaly feet
there’s no need to defeat
At the end of the day, Draiks are not your enemy 
But they’ll certainly judge your energy!

Down by the Lake

Down by the lake,
There's a Maraquan Draik,
Lounging on the shore,
In the sun, she bakes.
What do you do,
When she says to you,
"Have you ever seen a Goldy
Petting a Sharky?"
Down by the lake.

Aboard a ship,
Is the captain of the crew.
He sails on through,
Past the Seven Seas.
This Pirate Draik,
He will claim his stake.
So you better surrender,
All of your treasure,
Beware his ship!

At the Lab Ray,
Are unfortunate souls.
Halloween Draik shows,
Them how to pose,
For their close-up zap.
Will they turn Burlap?
Well there's no way to know,
'Til you give it a go,
At the Lab Ray.

At the Bakery,
In the shadow of the night,
Just out of sight,
Is a Stealthy Draik.
All that he wants,
Is to eat croissants.
So he's learning how to bake,
Using Dark Chocolate Draik,
At the Bakery.

Escape from Meridell Castle - Sir Valrigard the Draik

In the dungeons of Meridell Castle deep,
A lonely Draik mournfully tries to sleep.
Restlessly, he tosses and turns.
Unwaveringly, painful memories burn.

Haunted by a time that has long passed—
When will Sir Valrigard be free at last?
Burdened by betrayal and deep sorrow,
He wonders what he will face tomorrow.

The Draik remembers when he lost it all–
That fateful day when he took the fall.
To Meridell Castle, Valrigard was brought—
He would escape, or so he thought.

“Treason! Treason!” King Skarl proclaimed,
“You shall be forever chained!”
So into the dungeon he was thrown—
Icy cold–he felt the chill in his bones.

No longer does he count the months and years–
Bitterly he remembers–he chokes back his tears.
Why had he been betrayed the way he had?
He feared that one day he would go mad.

Has he been forgotten and left behind?
Would he be rescued; what would they find?
Valrigard’s heart is brutally torn in two—
If only he could tell King Skarl the truth.

As morning dawns and night fades away,
Sir Valrigard braces himself to face the day.
With his mind set and resolve so strong—
The day has come—he has waited so long.

Deftly he flies, avoiding the spikes—
A sword in hand, many guards he strikes.
Never before has he gotten so far—
Freedom is nigh, he can just smell the grass.

Draik Stamps!

There only are five stamps which images have Draiks inside!
Which stamps are these? Let’s take a look at these collectibles
And admire the featured Draik characters respectable.

The Orange Draik Stamp’s name makes clear what type of Draik it shows,
So vibrant in the sun with scales so bright it almost glows,
With Neopoints in claw, this Draik is somewhat mischievous,
Yet its visage on this stamp makes said stamp most marvellous. 

Then there’s the Shenkuu Draik Stamp with its most resplendent flair,
The beaming Draik dressed head-to-toe in traditional wear,
The dark background highlights the helmet in flattering light,
as it captures a pennant and its subject in mid-flight.

There are two stamps that highlight Draiks staunch at their guard duty;
with visages most stern, they guard Meridell valiantly.
The Champions of Meridell one honours great bravery,
While the Draik Guard stamp commemorates dauntless loyalty.

At first glance, the Nostalgic Grey Draik Stamp looks worn and drab,
But it’s a item all stamp collectors have rushed to grab,
The doleful, melancholy eyes are too cute to resist,
And it has brought smiles to those who have it on a wishlist.

While there should be more Draiks gracing the stamps that we collect,
these stamps in hand do make a wonderful Draik-cameo set,
So, if you don’t have these yet, what are you still waiting for?

Draik Day, a day we all awaited
Little did we know this day would be fated
For the first time, Draiks could be created!

Neopians rushed to Create-A-Pet
Hoping the limit was not reached quite yet
A very rare Draik would be great to get!

When word got out, the Pound chat erupted
These Draiks were a glitch, surely corrupted!
Would the Draik's value be interrupted?

Eventually the stream of Draiks ended
TNT made sure the glitch was mended
For those who made a Draik, it was splendid!

The Pound Chat in an uproar, it wasn't fair
Many said, don't trade for these Draiks, beware!
They don't count, since they popped out of thin air!

The Boards were abuzz with the glitch for days
Until something new drew everyone's gaze
These Draik Day Draiks were just a passing phase

Many years later, I now own a Draik
Who was created in the glitch's wake
Looking way back when, what a stir did it make

What caused the glitch back then is a mystery
I'm glad to have a piece of history!

The Great Draik Escape

In Meridell’s tall castle walls
A brave Blue Draik fights for his life
Someone framed Sir Valrigard
And sentenced him to years of strife!

By night he dodges prickly spikes
And Purple Grarrls keep watch by day
Although he tries with all his might
“You’ll never make it out!” they say

But Draiks are brave and full of grit
They soar and fly where others flee
So Valrigard relies on wit
And will not stop until he’s free

The valiant knight learns what he can
Which guards are weak and which are strong
And soon concocts a daring plan
To make it back where he belongs

He charges through the cannon’s roar
Determined to control his fate
Through learning every foe and door
He finally makes his great escape!

Now he’s free and at long last
He flies to his beloved home
The castle’s walls are in the past
And all the world he’s free to roam!

A Loyal Draik Guard

Guarding the castle is his job,
He is anything but a slob,
Always patrolling and on high alert,
Keeping anyone from getting hurt!

Trusting someone else would be the move of a fool,
This loyal guard is any castle's most useful tool,
Defending the castle is their primary goal,
With them in charge intruders will never be able to take control!

A master at arms from lots of training,
All the hours of practising were quite draining,
Now this Draik guard is an unstoppable force,
Hard work and skill being the main source!

Always up from a friendly spar,
He can help you train and turn you into a star,
However only ask when he is not on duty,
This guard can show you that being a master of arms can truly be a beauty!

King Terask the Dastardly Draik: Rohane's Lament

That King Terask is oh so mean!
I cannot keep my vocab clean.
The Draik is such a horrid brute.
He really needs to get the boot!

From eyes that glow, so sinister,
To spikes that will pierce all, for sure,
This monster is formidable.
This is a challenge, never dull!

From haste, to slow, to Shockwave, he
Is simply here to sap our glee.
I'll never stun him, and he can't
Be mesmerized. Our gains are scant.

Yet us four warriors will chip
Away at ol' Terask. A dip
In health of his occurs---hooray!
He better not heal it away.

Eventually, we win. We cheer!
The nasty Draik, no longer feared,
Collapses, and the Queen is freed.
We celebrate our noble deed.

A Draik within the Stars!

Look at that sparkling shiny star,
It's Kreludor, shining just far away.
As far as the moon goes, it's a Nova!
Magical Mote, Battledome gear that heals.

Nova will also damage your strong opponents,
You might find them at the new  Battledome!
Draik only wished for a Nova to be a Petpet—
but the Wishing Well at Neopia Central was broken.

The Draik never lost that sparkle of hope.
Draik, traveled to Lutari Island between—
the place that was covered in grey clouds.
Dark clouds were storming Lutari Island. 

I'm just stopping by hoping for a Lutari Bead.
I'm quite sure it's getting kinda late for bed!
Dreaming of a game called Math Nightmares...
Counting numbers of sheep 'til I fall asleep!

Oh, what an astounding, wonderful view!
I just woke up to find, "It's important News."
"I have become your new lovely Petpet."
Draik, smiled while taking care of his new friend!
