Mocking with mean-spirited glee,
"Gormball is not where you should be!"
But I ignored their advice and pleas.

I have a fiercely competitive soul,
Sports like Gormball make me whole!
Spells and blessing pets are not my goal,
Professional Gormball player is my role!

I've been training for a long time,
In my opinion, I am in my prime,
So the Championship will be mine,
If I lose, it would be a crime!

Fire and water is an unexpected combo,
But I am one to go with the flow!
I do not mind if the Gormball blows,
It is part of the game, I know.

When I win, they will cheer my name,
"Ember, you're so good at this game!"
I want Gormball to cause my fame,
Not my powers or fiery flames.

Kevin the Korbat left watchers agog
In Year 22 when he soared to the gold
This one-time replacement has broken the mold!

Neopets gather at this time of year
And send all their favorite Gormballers a cheer
Even the voidlings can’t keep spirits down
As Gormball competitors fight for the crown!

I was so overwhelmed with The Void Within Plot—
I even forgot we had to get the festival ready—
for this year's celebration we've been waiting for.

Queen Fyora noticed Baelia was acting weird...
"What are you planning? You changed a lot."
Oh please, I'm just here to help you gather—
all the elements to finish the Faerie Festival.

Queen Fyora thought she was acting very odd...
"Baelia, we understand you come from the Void."
Please, get ready to finish what you must do—
before even complaining, we need the resources!

"Oh, my! Fyora, why are you actin' like this!?"
You were missing in last year's Faerie Festival.
We had to replace you with the Library Faerie.
Rough times we had, you forgot the lore of this event!

The Championship marks a special time of year
When everyone gathers to the field and cheers
To root for their favourite players
And argue with their naysayers

Some root for Thayassa, Ursula, or Brian
Sometimes Brian is lying
There’s also Zargold, Gargarox, Farvin, and Ember
And other’s I can’t remember

Oh, wait I forgot about Kevin
But don’t root for him, he can’t win
All of the others have a shot
To avoid the Gormball exploding on their spot

Don’t worry you can play Gormball too
It’s actually very easy to do
Now you can have fun every day
With Gormball as you watch and play

One Festival at Last

For two years the Faerie Festival was split, 
Her side full of darkness, my earth softly lit. 
Jhudora with purple, and I with the green, 
Two Faeries, two sides, one rivalry seen. 
 
I smiled through it all, though my heart grew tired, 
Arranging the Festival, doing what was required. 
While she brewed her potions with laughter so sly, 
I hoped each month the quarrel would die. 
 
Look at the clouds now, how bright they appear. 
No separate Festivals, no feuding this year. 
The Faeries all gather beneath the same sky, 
It’s time to celebrate, with joy soaring high. 
 
I wander the Festival with no duties to tend, 
I laugh with a lightness I cannot pretend. 
For once, I am free of the hostess’s role, 
Just Illusen at peace with a happier soul. 
 
Even Jhudora, though she’ll never admit, 
Seems calmer when rivalry isn’t the bit. 
The skies and the earth sing together, complete, 
One Festival now, where all Faeries can meet.

Kevin, Pro Gormball Player

When Kevin first learned of Gormball,
he was a wee Korbat,
but once he tried the sport, he knew
he wanted to ace that.

So Kevin practised lots and lots
(and got soaked a whole ton),
but all his practice paid off when
he was picked as the one

To replace Dr. Sloth in the
Annual Gormball Championship,
It was a shock, but Kevin knew 
it was his time to grip

The pro-Gormball scene with his paws -
He lost initially,
But once he got his footing he,
grabbed third place finally!

Y5 was only the start of
Kevin’s trajectory:
He placed second in Y6, and
seized Y13’s victory!

Kevin still plays Gormball a lot,
he still finds it great fun,
so come and challenge him one day,
and try a Gormball run!

Ember the Fire Faerie & The Gormball Championship
