Kacheek Day Special!

Cheeky Kacheeky
by heautontimouromenos

Oh those Kacheeks!
Formerly known as Badeeks
With glasses perked upon their brows
And no less (or more) than three paws.

They come in all shapes and sizes:
We’ve got them strong, like Captain K in his space boots,
As twisted as they come in the shape of Eliv Thade,
Even cursed, like poor Albert in the Haunted Woods.

As protective as ever, the Altadorian Florin,
Of land or of a herd, like the Kacheek Shepherd,
Cheeky and a tad spooky, behold there’s Mr. Chuckles,
Or creative like the Blue Kacheek group!

One of the oldest species
To ever roam Neopia
Loved by many
Loathed by noboddia

Kacheek Seek
by geneames1

Let's play a game now, you and I
we call it Kacheek Seek
Close your eyes and count to ten
be careful not to peek!

The rules are simple in this game
I hide whilst you aren't looking
Then you come and look for me
You ready? Let's get cooking!

Am I hiding in the cupboard
Am I in the chest?
Am I in a sack of skulls?
Which hiding place is best?

You looked behind the stewing pot
and there I was - surprise!
Let's play again, so count to ten
and cover up your eyes!

Kacheek Seek
by miraday

The afternoon is sunny and spirits high
To play a few rounds of Kacheek Seek.
As my Kacheek conceals herself away,
I count to ten and make sure not to peek.

We start with an easy peasy level;
My Kacheek chooses Happy Valley.
Almost immediately do I find her
Noisily hiding in an igloo’s cranny.

Together, we choose to keep playing
In the Faerie Library, a medium level.
This time all is quieter, which helps her
Hide away in the spell book aisle.

Still easy— we need a trickier place.
Now, for the Altadorian Great Hall.
My Kacheek almost goes undetected
Between Jerdana’s statue and the wall.

We muster the courage to continue
Our game in the Haunted Fairgrounds.
This time, she’s gone, I think. I worry
She may spirit away and never be found.

I hear a rustling of leaves, my heart races—
Is it a ghost or a Werelupe following me?
My Kacheek bursts out of her hiding place—
Terror then relief, the ultimate Kacheek Seek!

Albert the Kacheek
by platinum_marauder

He was once a sweet spotted Kacheek,
Before he was turned into a freak,
By the evil Esophagor one dreary night,
Of this place he had been warned,
These warnings he had scorned,
Seeking to grow plants without the light.

With the reach of a hand,
Albert was plucked from the land,
And under the crescent moon transformed,
Now with bright red eyes,
Wearing a completely new guise,
Albert knew himself now deformed.

By the vile monster he was sent,
And through the graveyards he went,
In search for food for his new master,
Led by the promise of his freedom,
He agreed to go and feed him,
But in the Graveyard of Doom lay disaster.

Among the old graves,
Came enemies in waves,
And Albert was now in trouble,
Dodging the foes here,
Knocking a tombstone on them there,
For his freedom his pace must double.

The Esophagor groans and claims,
That Albert must be playing games,
For the food is brought to him too late,
Back into the graveyard Albert goes,
For how long, no one knows,
Hoping that one day, he may escape his fate.

Florin the Farmer
by l0000000l

Once upon an old victorian time,
Settled in o’er the golden fields of Altador,
An innocent Kacheek yet to reach his prime,
Stands humble and selfless to the very core.

With humble beginnings as a mere farmer,
Devoted to saving local crops from the plague,
King Altador appeared in a plate of armor,
To all but the farmer, the reason wasn’t vague.

Enraptured by his pure alignment for good,
He recruited the lowly farmer without a doubt,
“In spite of your status throughout childhood,
What matters is your well-intentioned turnout.”

Tales depict the farmer as 1 of the 12 heroes,
Proudly representing the Kacheeks of Neopia,
He has watched the glorious Altadorians grow,
And helped, as council, curate an ideal utopia.

Peaceful and friendly by his innate nature,
Magical flora and fauna now sing in chorus,
Florin the Kacheek has protected many acres,
Bestowed Guardian over Farmers and Forests.

Oh, aren't you cheeky Kacheek,
Whenever you're here, the day can't be bleak!
Let's frolic and run and climb,
And we can take our precious time,
Because today is all about you!

There are so many Kacheeks to celebrate today,

Celebrate with all your friends and give a big whoop!

Everyone needs a Cuddly Kacheek Plushie,

Oh, Kacheek! Our day's been so fun,
But here comes the setting sun.

Kacheek Day, Come Out and Play!
by retromochi

Hidden in the meadow brush,
Kacheeks do frolic,
Look close, but hush!

Furry tails and fuzzy paws,
But getting too close
Will make them pause.

So shy in their hideaway,
Slowly offer your hand
They'll come out to play!

And what a friend you will have made,
Loyal and friendly,
You'll chat for days!

Every color under the sun,
From pink to blue and striped to grey,
Kacheeks are a friend for life,
So let's celebrate them, every one!

Maraquan Kacheek Adventure
by anjie

Bubbling in the ocean’s flow,
He skims the falling tides.
Over coral, under waves,
Kacheek like water rides.
Fluid is Maraquan form,
The ocean realm his home.
Between the seaweed forests there,
He’s free to swim and roam.

Upon the crest of breaking wave,
Do tiny flippers lift.
Then back he rolls upon the tide,
To on the cobalt, drift.
Fins of molten gold do shine,
The sun does grace them, soft.
Sheen does light the creature’s form,
With tail held, aloft.

Between the coral does he twist,
The colours meet each flip!
He seeks the crest, the biggest surf,
And rides each wave and rip.
The ocean realm remains his home,
And he protects the sea.
There you’ll see the small Kacheek,
At play, forever free.

The Friendly Kacheek Farmer: Alton's Smiles
by _brainchild_

Meri Acres Farm is such
A plain and boring place,
So joy won't pop up very much
When pastures are the case.
Despite the dull monotony
Of berries, grass, and dung,
The friendliness of one Kacheek
Will grant a little fun.

Alton Moughbry is a fellow
With a giant smile
Across his face so bright and yellow,
Stretching over miles.
When you count the vegetables,
Potatoes very bland,
Your soul will surely end up full
Of joy from grins so grand.

Oh, even if your final sum
Falls very short of true,
Your feelings surely won't be bummed—
Sir Alton's nice to you.
In spite of guesses not so sharp,
He always bears a smile
To always carry spirits far
And please you for a while.

Samrin versus Balthazar
by mia_hollow

Should you venture to the Meridell plane
You can make extreme herding your game
Put yourself in the paws of young Samrin
You'll find you'll have plenty of petpets to cram in.

Baabas, Doglefoxes and little Noils too
And some of the kind that coo or go "moo"
Keep them from Balthazar's big hungry snout
Or they'll be digested before you can shout.

Being a shepherd is no easy profession
You're responsible for many a creature's protection
You must feed and heal and lovingly guide
And Samrin is truly the best of his kind.

Samrin the loyal, Samrin the wise
Samrin Gamgee - no, wait, wrong guy!
Samrin the Kacheek, that's the one
The only one that can escape Balthazar's hunt.

Balthazar the thirsty, Balthazar the fierce
If you're a faerie he's literally the worst
He lives off petpets and sweet cold revenge
And yet he's hopeless against Samrin's defence.

The Postal Delivery Kacheek
by trunksfulleh

When citizens of Neopia needs their letters and mail,
There’s a hard worker stamping away without frail.
He’s a swift little Kacheek, who hands deliver each package with sleek.
For how else would you read the Neopian Times this week?

His flappy ears are wide, and a messenger bag is always by his side.
The satchel is usually stuffed to the brim, ready for quick delivery on the whim.

With his two hobbling feet,
he dashes to deliver mail;
Quick, quick, wobbles his tail!
From Faerieland clouds to Krawk Island’s fleet,
He smiles as he delivers the goods to Shenkuu’s streets.

When Neopians like King Altador sends out dispatches,
It’s our Kacheek that’s safely entrusted -
to guard the message and transfer the Royal batches.

When your Neofriend crafts and sends off a neomail,
it’s our Kacheek that delivers it at top speed to your inbox –
so don’t mistake him for a snail!

He doesn’t collect stamps for avatars or for fun,
For he has to use them to stick on packages before the day is done.

On his job, there’s always something new to send out and seek,
For he is Neopia’s go-to postal delivery Kacheek!

Ode to the Herder
by trubiekatie

A famed Blue Kacheek is racing.
Balthazar the Bounty Hunter pacing.
The paddock is small, but keeps him out.
Small petpets still frolicking about.

Samrin has cared for Babaas his life.
This snooping Lupe has caused a strife.
Stealing and eating Samrin’s petpets.
Babaas, noils, and more – his prized assets.

It seems that each one he gets to the pen,
Balthazar will be back, quickly once again.
Alas, he’s got an Angelpuss held in his grasp!
Poor Samrin, standing there with a gasp.

He’ll freeze Balthazar every chance he can get.
Herding his flock from this vile threat.
Once they are rounded up, the Lupe goes away.
Samrin’s watches the enclosure for the day.

The blasted Lupe has sleuthed back again.
But, his ever bold tactics will be in vain.
This Kacheek knows what this Lupe will do.
He hides petpets in the pen, like a zoo.

Florin the Hero Among Kacheeks
by mewemy

Florin is a kind Kacheek of pure heart
Selfless, loving, and really quite smart
Protector of forests and farmland alike
When nature is threatened he’s ready to strike

A yellow Kacheek adorned in green leathers
Quick on his feet and as light as a feather
In Altador he resides, guardian of the land
No matter if it’s dirt, leaf, or sand

A mighty strong leader wasn’t always he
A simple farm lad was once his only destiny
When a terrible plague came down in fury
The lowly farmer protected the crops in a hurry

King Altador awarded Florin for his deed
The safety of the land was now his to lead
Pride and brave he remains to this day
To keep the forces of nature at bay

Albert the Kacheek
by jecour

There once was a Kacheek named Albert
Who definitely was not mutant like halberd

He had two pointy cute ears
Two spotted small feet
And a fluffy puff tail you see

Now young Albert had great aspirations
His dream was to have the best garden
They say he was great with soil foundations
But what happened you say? Beg your pardon?

When young Albert was strolling through the woods
Before he could see he was grabbed by the ears
By a monster called Esophagor who wanted goods
Poor Albert was now cursed for years

No longer can you find cute young Albert
He now is a mutant Kacheek
They say he now looks like a halberd
Oh golly how I miss his cute cheeks

I Seek A Kacheek
by walkingtravesty_

Be careful not to blink.
Oh, come closer for you should not fear.
A creature with two large feet and sharp pointed ears.
You see, no other pet comes nowhere near.

The mystical pet in which we seek
Legends say it's called the Kacheek.
Fierce yet loving and kind
It is what makes them so unique.

Kacheeks are strong from what I'm told.
Not only in strength,
But in their hearts of gold.

Grab one and go celebrate,
For with their loving nature,
Everyday is Kacheek Day.

Groovy Disco Kacheek
by kahlen369

With those groovy green-tinted shades
The Disco Kacheek has style in spades
A lovely light pastel orange base
Is decorated with colors of all arrays

With pretty flowers of pink, white and yellow
You'll never meet a more colourful fellow!
A superb mix of pink, purple and green
Give this Kacheek a unique sheen!

There are such colourful bands
Upon each pair of ears and hands
They draw the bulk of your attention
But look closer, there's more worth mention

What's that upon their backs?
Two small stripes of red, in fact!
And what's that on the bottom of their feet?
Why just a little bit of pink for this Kacheek!

Kacheek Herder
by stmarshall

Samrin dons his old straw hat,
Time to work the farm today,
The sun is out and the day is bright,
Shining on bales of hay.

The Kacheek has his work cut out for him,
For Balthazar is never far,
Protecting his petpets, duty calls,
Danger is always on his radar.

It ain’t easy work, no sir,
Eyeing his field with Eyrie gaze,
Sherparding these little guys,
Who burrow and graze.

They run in all different directions,
It’s a little hard to keep track,
But he always succeeds in finding them,
For with herding, he has a natural knack.

Eliv Thade: The Haunted Kacheek
by milestrong

Beyond the dark and tainted woods
There stands a castle tall,
Where evil roams and does not sleep,
And poor souls meet their fall.

Within this keep of stone and rot,
Inside decrepit rooms,
A spectre bides his time and waits
For you to meet your doom

With eyes of red and bandaged limbs,
He flickers into view.
He cracks a smile so wide and vile,
And then he stares at you.

“So would you like to play a game?”
You hear him ask out loud.
“Cause if you win, I’ll let you go,
Or else there’s no way out”

He makes his way towards you know,
He knows when you’re afraid;
You can run but there’s no escape,
For he is Eliv Thade

Albert the Mutant Kacheek
by taluse

Flicker in and flicker out
the lantern casts the shadow of doubt
is that a lovely Deviled Steak
Or a living tombstone about to wake

It does not matter, not too much
it's just dear Alberts aweful luck
to be about the graveyard dim
and cater to the Esophagors whim

Spotted once and mutant now
he picks the graveyard row by row
to find what the starving beast loves most
Whether candy, toast, or cake made of ghosts

But do not dread it's not so bad
You see Albert here is not too sad
he loves this place, and hopes you visit soon
to race him 'neath the great white moon
