The Valentine's Rose

Upon my trek to the store
I bought a chocolate rose
And I gave it to a hungry Warf
Who whimpered with a furry nose.

The Warf, turns out, was a gent
Who had a Kadoatie to impress.
He took my rose and gave her that...
Which caused her great distress.

The Kadoatie swiped the rose away
And took it to a tree
(Her only friend, I was told)
And bowed down on one knee.

The tree could not move or talk,
So the rose lay at its feet.
Then came along a young Usul
And to the tree he did entreat.

Long story short, I waited that night
At my house, feeling gray.
And the Usul stopped by with my rose,
Saying, "Happy Valentine's Day!"

I hate this cursed holiday,

I simply got no cards this year;

I’m so mad I could scream!

I didn’t get any chocolate,
And the Factory is all sold out.
This crummy Valentine’s Day,
Is going to make me sulk and pout.
