Lenny Day Special!

A Lenny Song
by anjie

Whisper do the swaying boughs,
In harmony, they swing.
Amidst the shine of dawn’s own light,
They wait, until he’ll sing.
For Lenny perches up on high,
Backlit by golden glow.
And beak aloft, he sounds a note,
A song to all below.

A morning tune, a greeting song,
The first notes start to sound.
They dance along the leafy boughs,
They grace the earthy ground.
The Lenny stands, his wings doth span,
The song so soft doth lift.
Each note a treasure on the wind,
Each sound a sacred gift.

Greet the morning, one and all,
To Lenny’s song, trees dance.
A feathered maestro of the woods,
A stunning sight, on glance.
The sheen of wings spanned in the wind,
The grass doth swing and play.
The woodlands hear the Lenny’s song,
And to the lilt they sway.

Agent of the Sway
by trubiekatie

At dawn, the battle will begin soon,
My dear, are you done preparing?
When we arrive at the Obelisk,
On the battlefield, the tension is flaring.

Don’t underestimate them,
That cunning Thieves Guild.
Or the Brutes or the Seekers;
All these fighters and quite skilled.

But, we, the Sway, are the best.
I mean, we won the first war, no?
All these extra, smaller skirmishes,
Are really just for show.

Me, the Duchess, will lead us to win,
Where the winners live like royalty.
Since the Oracle grants one boon,
It truly rewards Sway loyalty.

Cheers, my dear battlers,
On this important Lenny Day.
Don’t be late, my comrade;
It’s time we head to the fray!

The Lenny is gone!
by orlytheowl

When the Conundrum Host went missing
Neopians all heard a hissing
Noone knew where he went
Or how much time he would spend
All they knew was that it was the end of a blissing

Who will now train their minds?
With riddles of different kinds?
When the Lenny is gone
Neopia must carry on
But knowledge is harder to find

Maybe magic's to blame?
One wicked faerie that noone has tamed?
Or perhaps it is he
Who's made the hardest riddle can be
And his disappearance's a part of his game?

Opening Remarks of the Lenny Festival
by omam12am

Come all Lennys!
Gather round, any way that you like!
Spread your wings and fly,
or hop onto your bike!
Because today is your day,
And we'll celebrate into the night!
Flap your wings, and let's all sing:
It's the Lenny Festival!

A prehistoric pet,
That's tall and sage.
They can solve a puzzle in a flash,
And they only get smarter with age!

Those three tail feathers
Let's you know a Lenny's near.
Get them started on an interesting topic
And they'll squawk off your ear!

You can find great Lennys around the world,
Though you might have to hustle.
From Altador, Tyrannia, and Mystery Island:
One may even give you a puzzle!

Oh, Lennys, you're the keepers of stories.
A conversation with you can never be boring.
I'll fly along side you as we survey the land,
You hold all this knowledge in the palm of your hand (wing)
Let's walk between trees and hear the Lennys sing!
I hope you have a great Lenny day,
Celebrate all evening, then hit the hay.
Look at the time! The Lenny Festival is underway!

Finneus the Head Archivist Lenny
by mewemy

Due to a thousand-year slumber Altador’s history was lost
Until an old wise Lenny wanted the truth at any cost
Finneus was his name, passionate and true
He sought to restore the truth with the help of you

The mystery of Altador’s past must be uncovered
He refused to sleep until it was all discovered
Searching the constellations all night in the sky
He was rarely seen without a telescope pressed to his eye

Although he was often forgetful and really quite old
He wouldn’t rest until the truth could be told
Alongside to aid him was his pink Meepit plushie
He loved it so much for it was really quite fluffy

He was met with success after solving clue after clue
The tale of Altador is now something everyone knew
To this day he watches over the book of ages with pride
Never again will Altador’s history have to hide

We Miss Lenny Conundrum!
by ennyra

Larry the Lenny loved to learn,
And he did it in a creative way.
Whenever a new problem came up,
He found a way to solve and play.

He saw that this made learning fun,
And wanted to share with the world.
He hoped it would really catch on,
And a new contest would unfurl.

He started asking questions,
To all of Neopia once a week,
Anyone could give it a go,
From the strong to the meek.

It quickly became a hit,
And he became known as a wizard.
Until one day, the contest disappeared,
As if it was caught in a blizzard.

What happened, you might wonder,
While you throw a tantrum.
Join the club, we sadly say,
The ones who miss Lenny Conundrum.

Happy Lenny Day!
by martia_elior

Today I’m going to celebrate
A peculiar species that has great
Logic, and puzzle solving skills.
Thin neck, and gorgeous quills,
Long legs, and an orange beak
Are Lennies main characteristic.
They have a very deep passion
For everything new, and have fun
Figuring out riddles and crosswords;
Therefore, they are intelligent birds.
Their natural talent, and quick mind
Make them be one-of-a-kind.
Finneus, for example, is the brilliant
Keeper of the Altadorian ancient
Archives. He’s occasionally distracted,
But remembers every books listed.
Another famous, talented Lenny is
The Conundrum Host: any puzzles
He created was almost impossible
To answer. The few who were able
To solve it, got a nice, shiny trophy.
These were only two famous cases,
Other Lennies are well-known mages.

Let’s honour these clever birds today,
And together with them have fun and play!

Wheeler the Lenny
by platinum_marauder

By the Underwater Chef he was sent,
And so the yellow Lenny went,
In search of coconuts for Mumbo Pango,
With an Island Faellie on his bike,
Across the island went the hike,
Under a time limit he was, accelerando!

Through mountain, jungle and beach he rides,
Over a bump, through the air he glides,
Coconut after coconut he collects,
Over the path sits logs,
Up the hills he slogs,
Quickly he finds the whole island connects.

In the air he does a flip,
Trying to land without a slip,
His eyes kept sharp for golden coconuts,
Here he does a wheelie,
And there he grabs a berry,
Riding onward, past many village huts.

To find the food without delay,
To keep Mumbo Pango's anger at bay,
From morning to evening he travels,
Past spike-filled pits and waterfalls,
Lava pits and slanted walls,
The island god's hunger, it truly baffles!

Finneus the Lenny Archivist
by l0000000l

Please do excuse my pompousness,
But I would love to test out my hypothesis.
After months of building my case,
Would you care for a challenge in Chariot Chase?

You see, this is not my typical conundrum,
And no, I am not my nephew—get that accustomed.
But, what I am is a researcher at heart,
Is your Alabriss ready? The race is set to start.

Why am I intent on predicting future winners?
Well, it seems I've developed the jitters.
After all, I am an elderly, experienced Lenny,
I've lived through it all, and I know plenty.

Upon restoring the Council to mint condition,
Altador has settled down, impeding my ambition.
Trust me, I firmly believe in preserving history,
But, how I just won? That will remain a mystery.

The Lenny's Sweet Treats: Indulge With Care!
by _brainchild_

I'm searching for an icy treat
Which will delight my tongue.
When I encounter ice so sweet,
My heart has clearly sung.

The frozen edibles are sold
By someone very chill,
A friendly Lenny. Tastes so bold
Brings profits to his till.

Oh, crowds shall race to him to buy
The items oh so grand.
Within the pops the flavors lie—
They'll surely make you dance!

If you're a Chia, please take care—
Some pops can change your hue.
They're yummy, yet you should beware—
The choice is up to you.

If you have morphed yourself, don't sue—
It's not the Lenny's fault.
I thank him for the tastes anew—
I'll buy more from the vault.

Plague Doctor Lenny
by fourin

A faded lantern's light swings
Atop a crescent staff
Held aloft by gloved wings
On his dreary path

Crimson goggles on silver beak
His brimmed hat hides a ghostly stare
Equipped with an eerie book
What is written down in there?

His garb, a long and daunting robe
Stitched and bound by fine red thread
Its fabrics dark as a moonless night
Foreboding with a hint of dread

If you are in need of his service
I hope you can spare a pretty penny
There's no need to be nervous
Of our dear Plague Doctor Lenny

Though if his cures fail to help
Well, he has not yet lost anybody
Not to worry, he'll fix you right up
As long as you don't mind being a zombie

Wheeler the Wildest Lenny
by milestrong

There’s a Lenny named Wheeler
Who's trying his best
To find all the coconuts
And finish his quest!

He’s riding and cruising
With his super cool bike
He’s just a really wild dude,
What’s there to dislike?

He has some really nice hair
That blows in the wind,
And there’s nothing quite like
His magnificent grin!

There are times when he’ll stumble,
Make mistakes, and fall,
But he’ll stand up and say
Not to give up at all!

So get up from your seats
And let’s all give a hand
To this lovely Lenny
From Mystery Island!

The Lenny Conundrum Wizard
by frankie8492

There once lived a lenny of great intellect
With innumerous achievements he came to collect
But eventually his life became quite humdrum
Which lead him to create the Lenny Conundrum
In order to test those with riddles that he would select.

He said, "imagine you are faced with three doors,"
"One with a treasure and two with petit fours"
"Say you chose door one and then door three was ruled out as a clue,"
"After which, you were given a chance to switch to door two,"
"Should you, if you want the treasure to be yours?"

Far and wide, Neopians said with a quip,
"It shouldn't matter; isn't it a coin flip?"
Until finally a sailor said, "the swap is preferred,"
"Because doing so will raise your chances by one third."
The lenny smiled and said, "you may take my prize to your ship."

A Conundrum
by xiaolin10413

Once in Neopia, quite a bit of time ago,
A Red Lenny ran quite the show,
Of riddles and mystery,
It was a great history,
This game was for the knowledgable pros

For a chance to win an exclusive prize,
You’ll have to be crafty and you’ll have to be wise,
Some food, clothing, or a stamp,
These items go to the champ,
For which you can keep, or sell for a price

This Red Lenny Wizard has limitless wits,
His conundrums caused many to quit,
But this was the distant past,
Sometimes good things don’t last,
Or perhaps he just didn’t renew his permit!

Lennys Lament
by noumenia

Though I have wings to fly
I soar on education, high
and unlike bigger slower Neopets
upon my wit I do rely

Three long feathers
form my tail
Armed with curiosity, I never fail
though I am long and thin
knowledge is power and I shall win

Birds of a feather
flock together
we spoil our own egg
from being so clever

Call me a bird brain
but to answer my equation
would only cause you pain
No equation difficult enough to make
my long neck strain

We're know-it-alls who flap our breaks
Yet we have wisdom all of Neopia seeks
Go ahead, judge my looks
When you can't see Lennys
from behind the covers of our books

A Lenny family tradition
by mia_hollow

Though Valentine's day is the celebration of love
Where couples all round go beyond and above
There is no bond as strong as that of this family
There's no point denying this factuality.

Just look at Finneus and his nephew's connection
Who knew these two could show such affection?
A little known fact is their yearly tradition
Where they enter in a private friendly competition.

You thought the Conundrum had been cancelled?
Pah! Lennys can't leave any question unanswered
Now this is a secret, so listen and hush
The stakes are high: a brand new Meepit plush!

Only their family are allowed to join in the contest
And the whole point is to prove who is the smartest
Everyone brings their toughest of riddles
And each contestant must solve them little by little.

The last Lenny standing is given the prize
And all others must admire his or her brain size
Finneus of course only cares about the Meepit
And in the end his family always let him keep it.

Lenny Conundrum
by puusormi

Who knew I shared a birthday with the greatest Neopet
Funny and leggy and most of all smart
He flies like an angel and looks like one too
That bird, Mr Lenny, has stolen my heart

I also have a trophy, I treasure above all
It appears upon my lookup and is heads above the rest
You see I solved a conundrum
To do so, I had to be the best

For only 250 winners
Would ever achieve the prize
For solving weekly puzzles
Each Wednesday you had to be wise

The challenges were always varied
Quite difficult to figure out
You had to be quick, and sure of yourself
Or surely you would miss out

But the mystery of the ages, still goes unresolved
He was here one day and than he was gone
For Wednesdays are now sadly empty
My Lenny Conundrum is finally done!
