The JubJub Bandit

In the sands that sink and slide,
And move forever throughout time,
Slinks a dangerous, mysterious JubJub
Who lives a solitary life of crime.

No one knows his name or age,
Or even how he came to this place.
He’s as unknown as the very sands.
No one has even glimpsed his face.

Perhaps he was once innocent --
A child that somehow got left behind.
Trying to survive a land so ragged
Would be enough to warp anyone’s mind...

Or maybe he was raised to be a thief
And this is the only life he’s known.
Through robbing those passing through,
Into a formidable foe he has grown.

No one will ever know for sure,
As through the shifting sands he does hide.
Waiting for travelers with gold and jewels,
His trusty dagger by his side.

Perhaps it’s best not to question.
Maybe the truth, we couldn’t stand it.
No matter the why, we just need to remember,
To be wary of the JubJub Bandit.

My Nostalgic Winter JubJub Snowglobe

As the temperatures begin to rise,
I have to get my cooling supplies,
which include a variety of things
like balms, fans, and icicle wings.

Although one item may appear silly,
it really does help me stay chilly.
That is my Winter JubJub Snowglobe,
when I hold it I have wear a robe.

Watching the JubJub inside of it
while snow falls on him bit by bit
makes me think of winter's history
and its storms that were blistery.

The green JubJub may be shivering,
but he's also helpfully delivering
a much-needed breath of brumal air
when the thermal heat feels unfair.

If I ever lost my tiny frozen orb,
there'd be nothing cold to absorb.
I'd be forsaken to endure the fire
of what this season can transpire.

JubJub Helmet of Doom

Two J's of lightning blue, two streaks
On either of its sides,
And two voids right where eyes should be
Are said to terrify.

Opponents its wearer will face,
No matter what their size. 
Just try to gaze upon his head
And into those dark eyes.

Such weaponry may not be used
By those who lack the skill
To use their feet for everything,
But by those with good tact.

JubJubs who are battle-wise
Can choose to wear, with care,
The helmet that brings doom and fear
To foes, but must beware: 

Mirrors can be coupled with
Their intimidation
To cause a vicious spiral of
Self-obliteration. 

A JubJub's mind and heart alike
Must be one to use
The helmet, lest he falls into
A path he cannot choose.

Battle JubJub Meets The Battle Faerie

He's a violent fuzzball
from the depths of space,
and no one knows his allegiance,
be it to Sloth or resistance.

She's the general of Faerieland's armies
and the master of every blade,
no matter the conflict or battle,
Aethia, into the fray, will wade.

A chance encounter between the two
in a dome up in space
resulted in a fierce battle
between the two for dominance.

Their weapons clashed and defenses held,
by the end they were both spent,
and the faerie general was victorious
against the hyper ball of death.

Still, the match had been impressive
and not one to ignore,
Aethia thanked her challenger
before moving on to find some more.

It might have been a small battle
that occurred on that fateful night,
but since then, Aethia always knew JubJubs
could not lock their knees in a fight.

The Mighty JubJub Sword

The JubJub Secret

A bright mansion overlooked the starry hillside,
Its doors and windows etched with that lovely
Familiar form: a big puff, and two stubby legs.

JubJub Mansion, they called 
The place in whispers,
Rumors abound about 
Its mysterious occupants.
You see, no one ever saw them, 
Except for shadows.

At midnight, and sometimes 
At high noon, but they
Never lasted. Of course 
They never lasted. Ghosts,
Some whispers cried.
Darkness, others said, and evil.

But the silhouettes always 
Seemed the same: a JubJub,
Sometimes two, 
but before anyone could blink --
To be sure of what they saw -- 
They were gone.

They had nothing else 
To talk about, in the green
Leafy fields of Meridell. 
They'd exhausted all the
Gossip, and the Court Dancer's 
Identity remained unknown.

So, they counted their potatoes 
And remarked, "How like
The silhouettes in the mansion windows 
these potatoes are. They just need feet."

One night, the eve of JubJub Day, 
The front door to
The mansion swung out, open, and every eye 
In the Meridell fields looked up 
To the top of the hill.

"What's that?" 
They all whispered at once, looking
To each other. "It's a JubJub," 
They all answered at
Once, looking to each other.

For, standing on the hill was a massive JubJub,
Nearly the size of the house itself.
"How did he fit in there?" 
The Meridellians asked.

"My experiment is complete!" 
The JubJub boomed.
"Gaze upon the Jubjub Secret!" 
As he spoke, he
Started to shrink. First down to JubJub size,

Then smaller, and smaller.
"Is that what they've been doing in there 
All this time?" the Potato Counters asked. "Trying to grow?"

"If you were that small," a Draik replied, 
"You'd want to grow too." 
They watched until the JubJub was
So small that they couldn't see him anymore.

"Looks like it doesn't work," an Ixi commented.
"He'll have next year to try again," 
A Kacheek said.

"I heard that!" a high, small voice 
Squealed from the top of the hill.

The Grey JubJub

His voice finally arises.
“I shall find it quick

The lowest he says? That’s a pretty big claim...
There’s no hope in at least trying, 
There’ll be no shame.

Your sentence finishes 
And his powers begin to activate!
With the magic swirling and chantings going,
He begins to captivate!
Your mind is away and hands to your head 
As his power diminishes.
You look around to see everything normal. 
It marks he is finished.

“Go talk to this fellow, 
He’ll have what you need.”
He hands you a slip of paper 
And you cannot believe.
It’s truly is just a low price!
Words escape you as you squeal in delight.
So, off you go, 
And as you turn back to the figure.
You know you’ll definitely visit again 
To the handy Shop Wizard!

I think we can all appreciate his service,
Since almost everyone knows him for it.
If I had to do his task by hand myself,
There is no doubt that I would surely quit.

Does he even have a name, 
This JubJub known by all,
Or is he really just the Shop Wizard by name?
For all the things he does for Neopians alike,
I have to admit, that nickname is a bit lame.

He looks rather dapper in his wizard suit, too,
He surely looks the part he’s meant to play.
I think what I find most impressive
Is his ability to find with almost no delay.

How can he search all the shops so fast?
Surely there must be hundreds, if not more.
This JubJub goes through, item by item,
Looking for a specific match in each store.

When he finds the item, he relays all the hits,
So I can choose which shop to buy from.
Without the aid and help of the Shop Wizard,
There is a good chance 
I might never have come.
