Beginner
By Dynamicjunk

Stand by as the great heroes stride past,
Small and meek,
Watch in awe the high scores,
Wondering if those I'll ever meet.

Feeling dumb and awkward,
Trying to beat a Chia,
One in 20 battles won,
Feeling as though the day will never come.

All the faeries end up escaping,
Why do all my defences keep breaking?
A long and mighty path to follow,
Or should I just forget that one?

Battledome beginner,
Would rather win than lose,
But all the same, I gain experience,
Maybe it doesn't matter.

The Mistress of Water
By Bertha_creek

Beckoning thou
from deep within
the clouded waters,
she waits.
Breathtaking beauty
and a smile upon her lips,
you want to reach out and make sure
she is actually real.
The smell of rosewater and skin soft
as the sky;
what wouldn't you give to be her?
With magic words
and a heart of pure gold,
she will heal your Neopets,
young and old.
Taming fire
and close with sky.
This blue beauty is
nothing more
nor less
than the mistress of the water:
The water faerie.

Seeker
By Amh106

Lift the lid, chance a click,
Give your lip a subtle lick,
Bite your nails, scrunch your nose,
Such a conundrum this does pose!

In the cave, under the jar?
Could be near or rather far,
Behind the sofa, in the back,
Always wanting what I lack.

Thinking, thinking, out of steam.
Call my friends to form a team.
Calculate, search the store,
I just can't take this anymore!

Precious moments passing by,
in frustration I wonder why
while the clock has just passed nine
that which I seek is yet to be mine.

My plan has changed: I'm clicking faster,
but of this game I'm still no master.
Frantically I search the rooms,
from lounges to mysterious tombs.

My mouth is set in a deep frown;
even on the easy-peasy rooms I'm going down.
Why, oh why, my dear Kacheek,
Don't you know it's you I seek?

Treasure Hunter
By Scenette

There's a mysterious treasure hunter in Neopia,
brought up in the outskirts of Mystery Island.
Here, he has progressed to searching for gold
and adventures in many different realms untold.

Searching wherever he can,
Jake the Explorer will not give up until he has found
Some mysterious fortunes and treasures,
which will give his family and friends
many neverending pleasures.

Jake the Explorer, dashing and daring,
Swinging through the jungle upon a vine!
He is amazing, he has no fear!
No matter how much pain he has experienced,
he has never shed a tear.

Adventurer extraordinaire,
Jake the Explorer continues his search.
Running and hiding, jumping and sliding,
he has to protect himself - not surprising.

Biting his lip, he stands up strong behind a tree
calculating the moment in which he should run.
He has spotted the danger, but also the treasure
on display in a chest, full of gold
no device could ever measure!

Running for his life, but holding onto his hat,
Jake's decision is make-or-break!
He almost slips, but carries on regardless;
he slams the chest shut
to prevent an unwanted mess.

With the chest - though it is heavy -
Jake continues to run.
He has to find a safe place,
where he can wait until danger has passed.
Back home, he's waiting to answer any questions that may be asked.

"What is this, where have you been?!"
Jake imagines his mother crying as he walks in.
Finally, life is looking up a little bit -
The family needs not worry about Neopoints,
not even a bit!

Have you seen Jake the Explorer?
Help him out, give him a hand!
He wants to find adventure now,
he'll do it alone if he has to, without a doubt.

Maraquan Mist
By Pitaten492

The natives of Maraqua glimmer and shine
through the crystal-clear water.
The sun weaves its rays
through the top of the ocean.
It all adds to a glorious kingdom of aqua, Maraqua.

The sleek scales push through the liquid air.
Pushing themselves to the top
of the diamond-like water.
A glimmering mist of water
sweeps the face of a native.
Better than a brisk morning walk
or a soak in the sun.
Nothing else a Maraquan could ask for.
Diving, like flying into a pool
of complete silence and sorrow.
Your fins at your side, almost paralysed.
You can't open your eyes.
Then again, that's the best part.
Sinking, sinking into nothingness,
into a cold, breathless place.
Nothing there to catch you.
Until you get to the end of the road,
the ocean floor.

Sweeping your fins to get to the top,
to fly through the silence and darkness again.
The water, rushing past you.
You push and push till you feel the mist again.

Nothing's better than diving and diving.
Feeling the mist, the cool, sweet mist.
The Maraquan Mist.
