Twinkling stars in the night,
They are the only light.

Gelerts run and play,
This is a normal day,
Give them nice, happy toys
Made for Gelert boys.

Go to the fishing spot,
Kelp for a Kougra's garden like a shop
When planted makes a sight,
Worthy of Gelerts with might.

Look in at night,
Neopets tucked in tight,
When dawn is near
Them awaking you will hear.

A Gelert plays with a Cobrall,
Another with an Abominable Snowball,
Kougra in corner reads a book
Pleasantly content, if you look.

Living here for three years
Your Neopets should be your dears,
In the kitchen they eat lunch,
Listen as they munch.

As one plays Destruct-O-Match
In Korbat Lab the ball others will catch,
When in high scores cheer,
Their faces will not leer.

Meeting other Neopets,
Have a party, oh let's!
Time does fly
As soon you will say goodbye

Life is sweet,
Please be neat,
Never mess around
Or look on life with a frown.

Running with Gelerts

Like a great rush,
Across the fields in a flash,
Through hill and dale,
You're like to see,
A Gelert running past.

A streaking form,
Well-muscled legs propel,
Whip-like tail thrashing,
Nothing can compare,
To a Gelert when it's dashing.

Through meadows vast,
Where Kaus they graze,
The Gelerts run,
A never ending game -- they'll never tire,
And it will never lose its fun.

Though rain may come,
Though snow may fall,
The Gelerts shall run on,
Through it all,
True to their free-spirited ways,
Traversing Neopia in a startling blur,
Without a doubt,
The greatest runners -- of that we're sure!

The Gelert

The loyal Gelert
Is always alert.
She looks around,
Listening for a sound.

Wait -- over there in that tree!
There crawls a creature, fast as can be.
Is it a threat to her owner?
Are there many, or just this loner?

Suddenly, she gives a bark of pride,
For the creature has gone to hide.
Only one thing -- such loyalty isn't free.
So, my friend, can you not see?

That the loyal Gelert
Is always alert!

My Gelert's coat was made of gold,
The best Neopet ever as I was told
By friends and family as they went by,
Everyone knew it was true,
You could see it in her eyes.

I know that everyone thinks
Their Neopet is the best,
But my Gelert stood out from all the rest.
Her love was so gentle, so true and strong
She did her best, she hardly did wrong.

We would play with all her Petpets,
I had the best time, you can bet,
Competing in different games,
The scores were always close to the same,
She would fight it out in battles,
Charging fast and furious
Like a group of cattle,
We always had such a blast,
And we will always have
The great memories of our past.
