ILLUSEN DAY SPECIAL

The Golden Glade
By 777lehuanani

Traipsing about through the forest,
The air, so crisp, cool, and clean,
Tall trees grandly shading my head,
The springy turf, soft and green.

Coming across a small clearing,
A break in the thick Meridell wood.
The tallest trees line this sanctuary,
Giving an air, only described as good.

Beams of sunlight filter down,
Through the dense canopy above,
Painting the glade in a golden hue,
So bright and warm, I stand in awe of.

Tiny earthen faeries bask in these rays,
Bathing in the liquid golden flames.
As they flit about, chasing the light,
I watch, enchanted by their joyous games.

But a sight more beautiful captures my eye,
One that for many, is unseen.
For in the midst of this peaceful haven
Is a small splash of the brightest green.

Amidst a bed of freshly fallen leaves,
A serene figure regally kneels,
Shining in the sun's gentle rays,
'Tis a sight so wondrous, my mind reels.

Clad in a raiment, green and bright,
Leafy wings stretched behind, delicate and fine.
Her red and green hair
Cascades over her shoulders,
Her sparkling emerald eyes gaze into mine.

She beckons to me with an outstretched hand
To come closer to where she dwells.
As I stumble forward, as if in a dream,
She laughs, a tinkling like small silver bells.

As I draw closer, I hear a gentle whisper,
Which tells me that I need no longer to roam.
She smiles at me, and with dancing eyes,
Illusen says, "Welcome to my home..."

Happy Illusen Day
By Sheep_416

Commence the Meridell Parade!
As joyful-hearted play,
Illusen watches from her Glade
All on Illusen Day!
Come try a Faerie cake or pie
Served on a leaf-shaped tray,
As flowers rain down from the sky
All on Illusen Day!
Earth faeries frolic 'round the trees
All joyful come what may
No Neopet is left unpleased
All on Illusen Day!
Streamers shimmer amidst the clouds
And the sunshine's rainbow ray
A sky-high banner large and proud --
"HAPPY ILLUSEN DAY!"

Forever the Rivalry
By Avinesca

Through autumnal trees that never fade
she treads softly in her emerald glade,
so fair the nymph, the woodland maid,
dancing in and out of leafy shade.

Clouds of thunder, mist meant to choke,
tainting the air with acidic smoke,
beware the witch in swirling cloak
in case her wrath you dare provoke.

A playful laughter rings somewhere,
belying the hidden damsel so fair,
a secret in the very air,
no nightingale's song could ever compare.

An evil laugh, a smirk that shows
thorns smother all this vicious rose,
but a fearful glare could prove she knows
a secret anyone could expose.

Key-keeper to clandestine gate,
who knows what cloak-and-dagger fate
could be unlocked, and what shall await
the one who did incriminate.

Caught red-handed in some horrid deed,
only one other knows what indeed,
but, yet, she never did concede,
so something must have been agreed.

Song of an Earth Faerie
(Illusen's Glade at Dawn)

By Celendriel

Alone with my thoughts, my toes in a stream,
Beneath a dawn sky, I can't help but dream
The dew all around me like Flankins glitters,
The birdsong above me,
Their tweets and their twitters.
The sun slowly climbing over weary stars,
Its light shining downward, soon to be ours.
The night creatures, tired,
Creep back to their nest
So throughout the morn
They make way for the rest.
The trees seem to sing
As the breeze whistles through,
The bards of the forest,
Their words soft and true.
The river, a traveller, brings tales from lands new
And tells us its stories in melodic hue.
The sky becomes brighter,
The moon hides to sleep
'Til later that evening to once again peep.
The early clouds glowing, slowly float by,
Radiant, innocent, lazy they fly.
The beautiful music drifting 'round my head;
The creatures of darkness go, unseen, to bed.
I sit here, awestruck, my toes in the stream,
'Mid the magic of nature, like that of a dream.

Illusen Awaits the New Day
By Anjie

Waxing light does ebb and wane,
Day surrenders to night's reign.
As that ashen light does fade,
Illusen moves within her Glade.
For though the quests today were fun,
Tonight there's much still to be done.

A gentle wave of slender hand,
Some magic words, a soft command.
A vibrant light within her home,
And in her grasp, Illusen's Comb.
And so continues bright display,
For many seek them, every day.

Sitting down with book and pen,
She scrawls her novels, there and then.
So many copies does she write,
The hours pass in shadowed night.
At end of this, though hand now aches,
She cooks a batch of flower cakes!

Shampoo made of rain so soft
While potions scents do spread and waft.
Shimmering, she moves so fast,
The spells for honey potions, cast.
The dusk does come, and all is made,
The pets may come to magic glade.
