Underwater Fishing
By Foolses_coolses

Sitting on the jetty with a hat on my head,
Fighting with a worm from the fish bait shed,
As I force it onto my sharpened hook,
I give the murky cavern an examining look.

Pillars ooze down from the top of the cave,
The water is still, there's no sign of a wave,
Drips from the ceiling echo all around;
A dank and lonely resonating sound.

Once I am ready and my worm is secure,
I dip it in the water as my source of allure,
What fish would resist such a tantalising treat?
There must be swarms 'neath my dangling feet.

I wait with patience, my rod stone still,
Whistling a tune of my very own will,
Until I feel a tug on my old wooden pole,
So I reel up my line with steady control.

Drat! It is a sandal growing algae on the heel,
That would not do for a Krawk's main meal!
I hook another worm, fuming 'neath my hide
But on my second try I am once again denied.

It was third time lucky in the dark air pocket,
My arm was nearly pulled right out of its socket,
But I had finally been granted my hungry wish;
At the end of my line was a lesser spotted fish!

Let's Go to the (Un)Fair
By CreepyGirlSk8r

Cork guns loudly popping,
Bagatelle's a usual miss,
Scratchcard's another loser,
Sidney's laugh, more like a hiss.

A pile of sludge once again,
You decide to swing the mallot,
"Weakling you are!" the Mynci laughs,
Time to tempt your palette.

Tattered kiosk with tempting treats,
Sundaes made from slime,
A mutant Quiggle with an evil grin says,
"It's Coconut Shy time!"

Werelupe howls echo through the woods,
Clown Chias waddling all around,
Nice place to visit but not to live,
Here at the Deserted Fairground!

Peace in the Seas
By Elvin28

Calmness once more befalls this land,
Peace forfilling war-ridden seas,
Rebuilding strongholds on ancient sand,
Maraqua slowly recovers.

The Revenge,
Now a myth,
A tale for young tots,
To keep them in bed,
Snug in their cots.

Tales of the pirate captain,
A beast of the seas,
Name of a blade,
Whispered through the very trees
Of even Illusen's glade.

Now that the war has ended,
We can only wait and see,
If the villainous pirate,
Will let Maraqua be.

Song of a Spirit
By Gyaku

Mystic waves of sea and sand
Wash over the world beneath dry land.
Carried by water, a ballad drifts
With changing note as the ocean shifts.

The Drenched sing a wondrous tune
Of sapphire realms and stony dune,
The song of the seas and the deep sea bed,
Where the prow and the bow
May rest their head.

Plucking a harp of lonely sound,
The eldest sighs the lyrics profound.
They lure and prey and sing the while,
The spirits of old, so ancient and vile.

Mystic waves of sea and sand
Wash over the world beneath dry land.
All forbid you should follow the tune
Of sapphire realm and stony dune.

Visiting Coltzan's Shrine
By Gryphon_flight

Blistering sand warms my toes,
Across the plains, sun's breath blows.
Sand-laced wind tears at my tail,
Yet I wait here, through this gale.
For I am before his shrine,
A Lupe of old royal line.

Oh, what strength he possessed!
Now a single shrine, recessed.
But here, the wind has a chill,
Is Coltzan's spirit here still?
We have all heard the legend,
Tell all problems, they will mend.

Miracles of wealth and strength,
Great deeds recalled at great length.
Blessed are those who visit here,
No Neopet is too mere!
Grant my wish? I would not mind!
This old king is too kind!

To his shrine we pilgrimage,
Stories from history's page!
In his shadow, we now stand,
From regions of this vast land.
His blessing, he may bestow,
Reverent, silent -- bow low!
