Is it really such a great surprise
That Grundos love the dark night skies?
They grew up on Neopia's moon,
Around which many stars were strewn.

They only had to glance to the right,
To see those flaming balls of light.
It only took a look the other way,
To see a sparkling fire display.

Grundos know the stars inside out,
They recognize the planets without a doubt!
They are experts (there's no denying that),
Watching each twinkle from where they've sat.

So as Grundo Independence Day rolls around,
You won't see Grundos partying at the town,
No �- these Neopets will take the time to gaze,
It's how they spend all of their days!

Arise to Freedom!

Or far away from its native hue.
A star is shining so bright and clear,
When I think of living free with you.

Tears of joy away from Dr. Sloth's chains.
Once trapped now free, liberty is in sight,
Where our freedom-loving aroma remains.

Let us defy gravity to the highest degree,
And explore Maraqua's depths
Where mystery shrouds.

Long ago enslaved they were,
Poor minions to great Sloth.
Forced to his dirty work,
Of freedom they knew not.

Day and night they served him,
Perilous quests and tasks.
A Grundo had to do
Whatever his master asked.

Sloth used them for invasion,
But the Grundos did not comply,
They fled from his fortress
And crept into Neopia that night.

Times have changed since then,
Grundos now roam free,
But none forgot from where they came
And how they earned their victory.

Grundo Chef

Sitting 'round a table at Grundos Cafe,
Munching on a gargapple over your tray,
You can hear several bangs
And whirrings and crashes
And a low rumbling chant
'Neath the sounds of clashes.

"With a fork and a spoon I will mash, mash, mash,
I will make this scrambled eggplant
With Grundo panache,
With strong hands and a spoon I will stir, stir stir,
I will make this apple pie with Grundo allure.

"Re-hydrated chicken and de-hydrated peas,
Taste this scrumptious meal, if you please,
Condensed skim milk and powdered blueberry,
In the kitchen, Grundo chef is very, very merry."

You eat your roasted gargapple
In less than a minute
But wonder what on Kreludor
The Grundo chef put in it.
Probably something strange
And never done before,
But it tastes out of this world,
So why worry any more?
