Lost Fragments: A Faerie’s Hope
by juneshower
In the land of Neopia, a new adventure began,
With Fyora and Luxinia to aid in the plan.
A scavenger hunt, with shards to collect,
Hidden in Faerieland, so you must inspect.
Five sparkling new shards every day to be found,
But don’t wait too long or they won’t be around,
Find them on release day, and earn 5 points each,
But if you're late, fewer points you will reach.
175 total points, if you collect them all,
A special avatar to earn, on the first shard's call.
The shards are hidden, on the maps of two,
But the hunt is worth it, with treasures anew.
For the heroes of Faerieland, the prize shop awaits,
With exclusive items that are oh-so-great,
Like Varia is the Bomb and a brand new stamp,
A variety of prizes for the Faerieland champ.
So come join in the fun in this magical land,
With Luxinia the Light Faerie, hand in hand.
Lost Fragments is an event that you cannot miss,
So grab your friends, and join in the bliss!

An Ode to Pyramids
by mountainbrynjolf
It's your 15th round of Pyramids tonight, the impossible game
Still, no other past time hits quite the same
In total you've won seven games but played hundreds more
You got the silver trophy but not the high score
Each round you're at the mercy of good ol' Lady Luck
Your hopes are not high; you pray you don't suck
Your heart sinks when you can't play your first card
You keep flipping through the pile and each time discard
Suddenly, you clear a sequence: seven through Jack
Could this be a sign you're on the right the track?
You've hit another streak - two, three, two, and an ace played low
The cards fold like butter as you click down the row
But don't look now, a random event!
A Ghost stole the Neopoints that you could have spent
You need an eight, but all you see are nines
And why does it seem like you've clicked past six fives?!
That ace should be high, but you're feeling low
Still, there's no telling how this will round will go
What that's now? A bank error? Has your luck been bolstered?
Please accept 541 Neopoints and this collectable toaster
Finally, the last card - you've reached the top!
Could this round be a winner, or just another flop?
Your breath catches as you click, praying for a King
You get a random event about some Aisha who sings
Alas! Alack! The card you flipped is a two You've lost this round and are feeling quite blue
You've reached your points limit for today, but you'll play again
You'll be eligible for winnings on 23-03-10

The Call of Faerieland
by salemophelia
A magic glow dusts across the painted towers,
drawing you near with a tempting tale.
New Faerieland boasts of great pink powers,
and a daunting quest to make you turn pale.
"Sparkling shards of soil are scattered of late",
Luxinia quietly gestures with nervous hands.
"In your journey rests Faerieland's fate."
Her eyes shifted to prizes from across the lands.
Your heart flutters with great anticipation,
dreaming up desires of goodies to earn.
You knew, even if just by your participation,
The faerie's smiles would be enough in return.
Your knees touch the soft ground as you search,
gazing across the land for a prismatic shine.
You watch morning dew form on a Weewoo's perch,
when a glassy pink crystal glimmers by a vine.
Squealing with glee as you take your treasure,
Luxinia's smile flashes across your mind.
The reflection of eyes could not measure
how proud you were of your special find.
Sparkling magenta soil bounced in your pocket,
New Faerieland's colours painting the sky.
You check off one shard from your very long docket,
and Luxinia accepts it with a twinkle in her eye.
Tomorrow, you'll search for more stunning soil,
with your hair in the softly-warmed wind.
Today, you felt fulfilled and nearly royal,
starting your next journey as Luxinia grinned.

Elementals
by oddlit
The light faeries seem kind,
bright maybe even.
The fire faeries passionate,
but furious if you don't believe them.
The earth faeries are stubborn,
almost off the deep end.
But Illusen is chill.
I hang with her every weekend.
Snow faeries are shrill,
a little cold and cruel.
Dark faeries are real,
mysterious, and cool.
Jhudora's her own breed,
an enigma if you will.
She'll give you heavy cargo
and have you walk it up a hill.
The water faerie's healing
will have you begging for more.
Especially after battle,
when your Neopets or sore.
Fyora's an elegant one,
and charismatic as can be.
The Darkest Faerie's scary,
may she forever be at sea.
But the very best faerie,
is a little plain-jane.
The soup kitchen faerie,
who keeps us all sane.
Bless her sweet,
generous soul.
When our poor pets can't eat,
she makes us feel whole.
She smiles at me
while we eat our meal,
even though I've not
a Neopoint to steal.
She laughs and she winks
she makes my heart sink,
puts my thorat in a kink
everytime that she blinks.

Race to Riches
by anivatta
Psst...!
You there,
Yes, you!
Are you looking for a way to be rich, young Neopet?
Are you tired of eating empty bread
and despise your stone-hard bed?
Wanna collect millions in interest every time
Instead of counting every dime?
And not wait in line at the Rainbow Fountain
Or freeze looking for treasures at the Terror Mountain?
Then look no further, for I have the solution
To a new era of Neopoints distribution.
Now let me introduce you to the world of restock
Give it a try at the Post Office right around the block!
You don’t need much, just 10 to 24 hours a day
Speedy fingers, no delay
About five thousand attempts to practice
And of course, nothing too distracting!
You need to dream big: stamps and potions are to be the goal
And checking for prizes like fuel to your soul
Forget the Chocolate Factory
High-end ítems are more satisfactory.
Make sure you learn how much everything goes for,
The names, the prices, the pictures at the store.
And maybe soon you can join me
In this adventure called being rich.
And spread the word
About this wonderful life of restocking
Come on, don’t be shy
And leave me talking.
Hey, why are you walking away?
I thought everyone wanted this lifestyle
Even if it means walking an extra mile
Or twenty - there’s plenty.
Fine, you leave,
But Stamps is about to restock
I’ll just stay here and wait
Make sure I’m not late.
See you later at the bank
When my account is full and yours is blank
Trust me, this job is very sought-after!
Byeee! *maniacal laughter*

Sophie the Baby Gelert
by kellyclark1115
Hi, nice to meet you!
I'm Sophie the Baby Gelert,
but you can call me Soph,
as long as you bring me dessert!
I love banana anything,
especially Zafara Banana Split!
I'm a little picky with other food,
if I have to admit.
For Gelert Day I have lots planned,
a new makeover for me first!
I need to get my fur trimmed,
my ears especially, or I'll look cursed.
Then a cute little bow,
it must match my collar.
Perhaps I'll get another,
to give to my dear mother.
I'm off to hang out with my friends!
My besties are two baby Aishas!
We will go out and get dessert,
some Apple Cherry Tarts just because.
Later we'll run around outside,
I think I'll be the fastest,
but don't tell them I said that!
It's Gelert Day, I have to be best!
At the end of the day,
we will take a long nap.
Perhaps we'll wake up
and share a yummy wrap.

Ode to the Lost Desert River
by kadface
Though whistling wands raise up the sands,
Though searing sunbeams bake the lands,
The river moves through soft and slow,
Singing gently in its flow.
The water winks in the sunlight,
Twinkles in the dead of night,
Curves and turns through light and shade,
And remains but unafraid.
From source to sea, through pools and falls,
The river relentlessly hauls,
That liquid gold that's fresh and clear,
Water the desert folk revere.
Through the badlands it casts its pity,
On fate-wrecked walls of the old city,
Which strayed too far from waterside,
And whose wells have slowly dried.
The river's course continues forth,
Reaching Sakhmet from the north,
Provides all that the city needs,
For drinking, cooking, growing seeds.
Past shrines and tombs the river drifts,
Past Qasala, its pace is swift,
It tumbles through the desert dunes,
Through ancient canyons gently hewn.
Towards the sea, the river wends,
At ocean's door the river ends,
Here the waters spill their load,
And give the sea just what is owed.
Though whistling wands raise up the sands,
Though searing sunbeams bake the lands,
The river's flow will keep alive,
The desert kin, and let them thrive.

Typing Terror
by rurirawr
Warning! Virtupets Space Station has been invaded,
By an army of evil clockwork Grundos!
They are a massive menace to us,
So we must make haste to defeat these foes!
Unique codes is programmed into their bodies,
Which become clearer as they inch closer bit by bit,
So get any and all keyboards ready and type,
Type away like our lives depend on it!
But beware, for some words are upside down,
And broken Grundos may easily short-circuit.
We have to work with laser-sharp focus,
To ensure every letter keyed in is accurate.
For each successful attempt, a robot explodes,
But we can't relax or celebrate just yet,
Because five waves of clockwork Grundos will encroach,
Into our facility, which we shall not let!
Once all his minions have been annihilated,
The Grundo boss will make his entrance.
Large and heavy, ferocious yet unmoving,
He has the most frightening appearance!
Racing against time, we type with urgency,
Word after word, all so long and tough!
Seeing no end to the string of codes that keep popping up,
We begin to wonder if what we've done is enough.
After twenty five successful decryptions,
The boss finally breaks apart, fully dismantled.
The Virtupets Space Station has been saved,
And all imminent threats have been settled!

Sword of Skardsen
by miraday
Nothing exists
Where I grasp
At the sword’s grip.
Darkness envelops
The scabbard’s lithe
Locket, unlocking it.
The absence of light engulfs
The sword’s bearer, fully aware
That darkness is its opposite.
The Sword of Skardsen
Claims my hold, unmovable steel
Encountering no resistance
In the unshakeable stasis.
I am hauled through the night’s limits,
The finite confines of light’s uncertainty.
I am one with the crossguard,
Point to pommel stronger than before.
En guard, enemies! Unseen rewards
Await the victor of places unexplored.
The midnight hills cannot afford
Looming combat, certain discord.
Shadows swallow the fuller,
Aim sharpened to its edge.
I am the night, I become darkness,
My fury flies forward as the sword.
Beware, beware. Dark magic pledged,
I swing forth the Sword of Skardsen.

Capara the Kyrii
by spaghetti_bear
Cool, calm and collected
She smiles at her hand,
between manicured fingers
Her cards are fanned.
She places one face down
And flicks back her red hair
Declaring that just one ace
Has been set down there.
I look into her eyes,
Her smirk is wide.
Reluctantly I nod,
And let her slide.
The rounds pass quickly
And the pile is stacked high.
She is not worried,
She knows how to lie.
But how quickly it changes,
How suddenly does it alter?
As the game goes on
And we all start to falter.
The first crack in the mask!
She starts to look ruffled.
She lays down a card
And her next words are muffled.
Her eyes widen slightly,
Her grin is less snide.
We look at each other.
We both know that she lied.
She shifts and she sighs,
She tuts in defeat,
As I lean forward,
and whisper “Cheat!”

Spring Dyeworks Thrill with Pastel Hues
by _brainchild_
Spring Dyeworks surely will delight!
No finer items are in sight.
Pastels this season shall impress.
I love them all, I must confess!
The Mint and Aqua Flower Wig
Has three more colours; this is big!
An Emanating Aura will,
In rainbow colours, really thrill.
The Baby Playtime Overalls
Have lovely hues which will enthral.
Just Peachy Filter swirls fine blooms
Across your pet and o'er the room.
This spring, if pets of yours shall seek
More wearables, you'll make their week
When giving them spring Dyeworks. They
Are sure to cure gloom and dismay.

Symol Hole
by mimiweasley
There was once a competition,
Held by four Petpets.
There was only one condition:
Down the Symol Hole they would get!
“I will cannondive”, said the Ona,
“What is the worse that could occur?”
It went down with an “aaaaaaah!”,
But nothing happened, they could ensure.
“I will dive with my eyes closed”, said the Hasee,
“As I am afraid of this hole!”
They all thought it would flee!
But it came back with a Dirt Sword.
“I will dive with my eyes open”, said the Krawk,
“As I don’t know the word ‘fear’!”
It went down with a huge joy squawk,
And came back with a Fire Spear.
“As I am the last”, said the Angelpuss,
“I will bellyflop! This I can bear!”
There was nothing more to discuss!
And it came back with an avatar!

Unique Colors Of A Chia
by therainbowsheep
Chias are more than just chic,
By nature, they're quite unique.
Standard colours are only the beginning,
The options will leave one grinning.
With more choices than other pets,
There is reason for Chias to fret.
At the Rainbow Pool they muse,
On which new look to choose.
Chias can be a veggie a fruit,
Should they go the edible route.
The magical Chia pop allows,
An effect that leads to a big wow!
Onion, carrot, pea, pepper -
Any of these looks would be dapper.
Or pineapple, peach, lime -
So many choices, not enough time!
Energetic, happy, colourful,
Chias are truly wonderful.
They come in such variety galore,
We never know what is in store!

An Ode to TDMBGPOP
by i_lovee_icecream
A plushie of prosperity,
Who was discarded in a tree.
Magical Blue Grundo,
What were you meant to be?
All day long, you give;
Neopoints and toys and happiness.
A plushie so generous,
It could influence Neopia’s sappiness.
TDMBGPOP,
A title that is so long.
For a peculiar little guy,
Who truly does no wrong.
We all sing you an ode,
Thanks for what you bestowed.
We all sing you an ode,
For the kindness you have sewed.
We all sing you an ode,
With our love overflowed.

There is no war in Virtupets Station
by _help_de_jaguar_
There is no war in Virtupets Station
There are no Neopets whispering in the hallways
There are no rumours about a resistance
Why would there be?
There is nothing to resist
There is no war in Virtupets Station
There are no armed sentries at the doors
There is no fear among the civilians
Why would there be?
There is nothing to fear
There is no war in Virtupets Station
There is no Sloth propaganda on the walls
There are no prayers for the Space Faerie to save us
Why would there be?
There is nothing to save us from
There is no war in Virtupets Station
There are no screams and laser blasts
There is no alarm blaring loudly and no lights flashing red
Why would there be?
There is nothing to warn for
There is no war in Virtupets Station
There are no empty rooms
There is no eerie silence and no unnatural stillness
Why would there be?
…
There is no war in Virtupets Station
Why would there be?
There is nobody there

My Dad and (Not His) Warf
by ayakae
This is a poem about my dad named Mick
Who, while loving, was a bit of a grouch
For years, he wouldn’t let me have a pet Warf
He didn’t want a “pest” running around the house!
But after years and years and years of begging
He finally allowed me to take a Warf home!
As we left the Petpet shop, my dad grumbled,
“Just make sure that thing leaves me alone!”
And for the first few days I did just that
It was just me and my Warf I named Scrap
He was the cutest Warf I could’ve asked for
He was always snuggled up in my lap
Then, once, I had been out of the house all day,
But Scrap wasn’t there waiting by the door
“That’s weird,” I thought, and searched for Scrap
And what I saw next shook me to the core!
It was my dad and Scrap playing in the living room
They both didn’t even notice I had arrived!
My dad was busy giving Scrap a good belly rub,
While Scrap was having the time of his life!
“I thought you said you didn’t want a Petpet?”
I questioned my dad cheekily when there was a lull
He replied, “I couldn’t just ignore him all day,”
“But don’t think for one second I like this rascal!”
And, indeed, my dad didn’t “like” Scrap one bit
He was always throwing sticks for him to chase,
Feeding Scrap actual scraps from the table,
And taking him on walks on sunny days!
I write this poem now from the living room where
On the sofa, my dad and Scrap are having a snooze
I smile thinking of how Scrap belongs to me
And now Scrap the Warf belongs to my dad, too

Naia the Fountain Faerie
by roxanna203
It is known ever since she was a young lad,
Colours were amongst the few to make her glad,
They brightened up her day and make her smile,
The joy of a new coat on a Neopian lasted a while.
Her love for colours created the greatest gift,
Powers that can paint any Neopet in a jiff!
She grew up to be talented and well known,
Many travel from across the world to be blown!
Her powers continued to flourish as time passed,
Painting even more colours she has amassed.
However, to be a fortunate one is very slim,
Thus lending her powers to the Grey Faerie on a whim.
Due to the scarcity, some even offer to trade,
A trip to the fountain after an exchange was made,
Naia greets everyone no matter how they got there,
As she is jubilant of the power she can share.

Ode to Mortogs
by ameilae
Mortogs, Mortogs, oh how they rain,
Kisses galore, an enchanting terrain,
With a hop and a flop, they leap and play,
Chasing flies from dung heap to hay.
Cooling their long legs in a sparkling pond,
Exploding on users seeking a bond,
A prince, a pauper, who can tell,
Kissing these creatures, unleashes a magical spell.
At the end of the day, in the tall grass they rest,
Fast asleep, their adventures put to the test,
Tip-toe with care, lest you disturb,
Their sassy retorts, not to be perturbed.
Mortogs, Mortogs, what a sight to behold,
Fantastical creatures, with kisses so bold.
Mortogs, Mortogs, close your eyes, make a wish,
Maybe if you're lucky you'll get that kiss!

Grave Danger
by ennyra
There's a part of Neopia,
That's not much talked about.
When you think about it,
It really deserves more clout.
Have you put your Petpet in Grave Danger?
It really puts them to the test.
They must be brave to face the dark,
There's definitely no time to rest!
Throw them down into the catacombs,
It really seems quite cruel.
But I believe they secretly love it,
It even gives them a chance to duel!
They get to show off their strength,
Prove to us they can do anything.
Whether it's getting recruited to a cult,
Or searching for a diamond ring.
There's really only one item,
We all wish they would find.
The Grave Danger stamp seems so elusive,
It kind of puts us in a bind.
We have to be proud of everything,
They come to the top with.
While we toss them right back in,
Until they find our wish.
Happy searching little Petpets!

A Quest for Inspiration
by precious_katuch14
I looked up into the sky
Hoping someone would hear my cry,
A cry for inspiration,
For my poem composition.
I thought of Neopia's heroes,
Enemies of terror and woe,
Yet not one of them came to mind,
To inspire a poetry line.
Perhaps the Gallery of Evil
Would help me form a spiel.
But their schemes and darkness
Only gave me emptiness.
I strolled through Neopia Central,
Would the shops hold me in thrall?
Unfortunately the answer was no,
So to other lands I did go.
I sailed Neopia's five seas,
To silence my heart's pleas
For a new poem to write
That feels just right.
I travelled to Shenkuu,
To Altador and Meridell too.
I flew to Darigan,
Mingled with Tyrannians.
In the Lost Desert I perspired,
Reading history that transpired,
But not even its mythic tales
Could cure my poetic fails.
I scaled Terror Mountain,
Visited Mystery Island, and then
I met with no success,
Having written no verses.
I packed up and went home
Without a single poem.
Tomorrow I shall try again,
With my paper and trusty pen.

Neopian Fresh Foods
by anotherblond07
You must have heard of this place,
but let me tell you about it just in case;
There is this little shop in the centre,
with his inviting shape you can't help but enter.
When you set your first steps inside
the tasty smells make you watery eyed.
Neggs, jams, cheeses and vegetables,
the shelf's stocked to the brim with edibles.
Food for days and did you see,
so much to chose from it makes you chuckle with glee.
There in that shop there's this busy bee,
a Yellow Chia with an apron down to his knee.
Mixing up a mean batter that makes him noted
"his pancakes most delicious!" someone quoted.
The saying on his apron sure is true,
he loves food and he loves to help you.
So be sure to visit if you need a soda pop
just remember it's the big hamburger shop!

Abominable Snowball Borovan
by theguy2020
A calming winter drink,
So refreshing it'll be gone in a blink,
Filling with any meal,
Inexpensive and worth the deal!
Abominable Snowball Borovan is truly worth the cost,
Purchase a few next time you see some frost,
Best when warm I must say,
A wonderful drink to start any day!
Once ordered it comes in a nice red mug,
Providing you with a treat that will help you stay snug,
If its snowing it will definitely warm you up,
So make sure you grab a cup!
A small abominable snowman dropped in the middle,
How did someone come up with this idea may be a riddle,
Accidents often come up with ideas that are among the best,
Thankfully though we have this now so we are truly blessed!

The Randomest Thing
by actiontal
The randomest I ever did see
Was a Kookith looking at me
Staring straight with stripes on the side
Giving me his strange side eye
And with each of his glances
I became more caught unawares
His little eyes brought those stares
Why is it random you say?
His jaunty smile and cube shape
Well, he had both eyes staring
With a patch over one eye he could still see out!
And that was the most random thing I did shout!
The Kookith smirked and winked under or over his patch
I could not tell
Because the Kookith was quirky and random as hello operator
His chatty Usuki cell in his hand
Shivering his timbers across the land
Using his pegleg instead of a hand
Spreading his quirks and random aside
For any petpets who dared to hide
He's whimsical and geometric and
Doesn't always rhyme
But you know he's random and he's sublime

A Moehog's Poem to his Barlow!
by jmash87
The little Red Moehog sat and thought,
Of a poem to his Barlow he sought,
His Petpet was his friend so true,
Whose company he loved to pursue.
With pen in hoof and paper in place,
He started to write at a steady pace,
Words that spoke of love and care,
Of adventures they would both share.
"Dear Barlow my faithful friend,
You're with me until the very end,
With your wagging tail and cute face,
You fill my heart with so much grace."
"Oh how I treasure every day,
When you're by my side in every way,
My loyal Petpet and my dearest mate,
I thank the stars for our fate."
The little Red Moehog read his poem aloud,
And his Barlow's tail happily bowed,
For they both knew in their hearts,
That their bond would never fall apart.

Lost Fragments Plot
by indulgences
You had to find five sparkling gems
Each day for seven days.
The fragments were in Faerieland,
Amidst its purple haze!
With users’ help, Luxinia
Took all our errant shards
And lifted up New Faerieland,
A place she will safeguard!
New Faerieland now floats above
The older Faerieland.
The older sits upon the globe,
The new one, hovers grand!
The prize shop has been opened now.
We flock to spend our points.
The prizes are quite generous, and
They do not disappoint!
