Discovered a trapped light faerie. 
And though she was confused,
Varia showed her a game to be merry.

Calmed her down, and see,
They were soon fast friends,
Even sleep over buddies!

Varia is an explosive expert,
Her abilities are a sight to see!
To clear a chunk of the board,
And she does it with such ease.

Shyraea the Shoyru

Once, in our memories, Faerieland flew
High in the sky against wisps of clouds
All who resided there deftly knew
How to navigate the air on wings so proud

One quiet day, by accident or chance
An egg tumbled down and rolled out of sight
Though it did not seem to crack at first glance
The damage was done, and thus was the plight

Of one young Shoyru who hatched from that egg
Her wings did not look like those of her kind
She travelled instead upon her four legs
And tried not to let it bother her mind

As she grew older she struggled and strove
She knew that she had to learn how to fly
If ever she wished to live up above
In Faerieland where this rule did apply

Each citizen of this most magical land
Must be able to convey themselves through the air
By wing or by magic, but by their own hand
Their flying ability must be passing fair

Safety is the reason the rule is in place
For Faerieland used to float high in the sky
And what would become of a leg or a face
If you were to accidentally fall from so high

In fact, poor Shyraea knew the outcome quite clear
For that is what happened before she could hatch
So she continued to practice and hold her wish dear
To one day reunite with the land of her match

With friends by her side, and a Sauropod too
Shyraea was able to pass her flight test
Today she dedicates herself to helping you

Flight of the Shoyru

Wings tiny and feeble at birth,
The Shoyru stayed close to the earth,
In his young years, he hopped about,
On every journey throughout.

After the first few years passed by,
He looked up longingly at the sky,
Where other Shoyrus often soared high, 
So he decided to learn how to fly. 

His first few attempts were rough;
He hadn't expected it to be so tough.
He jumped, flailed and flopped, 
But he never gave up, never stopped.

By using the wind for lift, 
His flight movements became easy and swift. 
And after weeks of nonstop practice,
The Shoyru could finally glide as he pleased.

Barry and the Marblemen

On one dark night
When Barry the Shoyru
Awoke in fright. 

The floor of his bedroom
Alive with noise
For the Baby Shoyru
Left out his toys. 

The marbles were angry
Begun to roam
Means Barry the Shoyru

The placing of bumpers
To change their path
Lets the frightened Shoyru
Escape their wrath. 

The polished toy spheres
Bounce off these blocks
Placed down by the Shoyru
Back to their box. 

By sunrise that morning
The toys were returned
And Barry the Shoyru 
Thought “Lesson Learned”. 

But at the next nightfall
The marbles are back
And once more the Shoyru
Came under attack! 

So come help a Shoyru
As time and again
He faces the Attack
Of The Marblemen!

A Baby Shoyru's First Flight

Not too long ago a baby was born,
So innocent - not an ounce of scorn,
Green skin with tiny fragile wings,
A Baby Shoyru, the world sings!

She opens her eyes to the lovely sight,
The world has to offer for her first flight,
She takes a deep breath and smiles,
Ready to fly, but it takes her a while.

She musters the courage to fly,
Doubt crept in as she was about to try,
She took a deep breath and spread, 
Her little wings ignoring the dread.

1, 2, 3... She slowly opened her eyes,
She could not believe she was so high,
The Baby Shoyru felt her very first joy,
Flying was the best thing next to a toy!

Attack of the Marblemen

Barry the Baby Shoyru was in a bit of a mess
He woke up one morning completely marble-less!
When he was asleep, his marbles went crazy
They went on a rampage because Barry was lazy

And what was Barry too lazy to do, you ask?
Putting his marbles back in his toy box was the task!
Now the evil marbles want to teach him a lesson
And make poor Barry run around the room, stressing

Can you please help the poor Baby Shoyru out?
He’d appreciate a helping hand, no doubt!
Just guide the marbles to where they belong
And collect bonus coins as you go along

But watch out, these marbles can quickly zoom 
One small misstep and they can escape the room!
You need to block their path before they do so
With these Marblemen, you simply can’t be slow

And once the Marblemen are back in their boxes,
There’s not much time to celebrate your success
Because now you need to give Barry a stern talking to
That’s what happens when you ignore your chores to do!

So, let’s hope that Barry is now a little smarter
To keep his room clean, he needs to work harder
Putting his toys back will become his new knack
Lest those evil little Marblemen come back

The Shoyru from the Dump

There are lots of materials
To be found in a dump.
Cog the Shoyru can name them all:
Brick to layer with concrete,
Wood to burn for heat,
Aluminium cans to tame and beat
And shape into armour-wings tall.

There is lots of potential
To be roused from a dump.
Cog the Shoyru sees all:
How metals can melt and blend,
How broken buttons can mend,
How even old wires can be made to send
And receive messages in a call.

Others may think it trivial,
The waste matter in a dump,
But Cog the Shoyru knows more.
Every stinking shred and scrap,
Every cover, every wrap
Matters. In grime she makes the map
Of her machinery and clothing store.

A Pirate Shoyru's Plea

And I know all of the things you hear.
But I'm a very friendly dragon,
You really have nothing to fear.

If you see me at the Neopian Market,
Shopping in the afternoon.
Know that you are safe around me,

What Neopians don't understand,
My painted pirate is just a colour.
Sometimes I wish I was stealthy, spotted, striped,

I'm a very regular Shoyru,
Don't mind the scruffy looking beard on my chin.
I take baths, read books, and enjoy doing puzzles.
I'm so tired of hiding my bandana just to try and blend in.

When you are considering a change of colour,
I do not recommend pirate,
Please paint your Shoyrus any other colour!

Lime Shoyru Cake

Shoyru Day lands on the 2nd of April every year,
What better way to celebrate this dragon-like Neopet than to bake a cake when that day is near?
The Lime Shoyru Cake was first released in Neopia on April 2, 2003, to celebrate Shoyru Day,
Here's my super special, super secret recipe for this interesting cake--- yay!

All you need to do is use Edna's cauldron located at the Witch's Tower,
Bring oil and butter, 4 eggs, flour, sugar salt, vanilla extract, buttermilk... and don't forget baking powder!
The secret ingredient for this recipe is 2 limes,
All this will cost you more than 10 dimes.

Once you have everything, head to the Witch's Tower, and in the cauldron the ingredients will go,
Now you just sit back and watch a cake being baked like never before... oh my, what a show!
A cake jumps out of the cauldron and into your hand,
This Lime Shoyru Cake in the shape of a Green Shoyru's face is perfect and so delicious--- the taste is sweet and sour and definitely not bland!

Kelby the Maraquan Shoyru,
Had a task that he had to see through.
His JubJub friends were in a jam,
Falling into the sea without a plan.

Kelby's got some skills, you see,
In bubble blowing, he's top quality.
He's got to save his pals from a crash,
So he blew some bubbles in a flash.

The JubJubs were falling oh so fast,
But Kelby's bubbles saved them at last.
He aimed just right and blew with care,

The poor JubJubs sank to the ground, looking dazed,
