Wisdom in the Storm
by parody_ham

Avast! Ye sailors young and bold
Take note the stormy sea
Lest ye be caught in winds untold
And be the ghosts we see

The waves they rough and tumblin’
Across the waters green
As clouds call distant rumblin’
From port to port between

Beware the howling siren song
She calls to greet your doom
And claims that sailors all belong
With her in water tomb

But if ye dare ignore our tale
And sail on anyway
Never will yer crew prevail
They might even betray

So, listen well, ye scallywags!
Have wisdom in the storm
Calm seas will welcome all your flags
Await them or be warned!

Sea Shells
by theguy2020

Sea shells are a wonderful thing to collect,
Make sure you have them all in your album checked,
You can restock some from the shops,
Occasionally shop keepers give some rare drops!

Some are harder to find then others,
Others you may get as a gift from one of your Neopian brothers,
You can also get one in the occasional Neopian event,
Neopoints on sea shells is always money well spent!

Some sea shells have really good design,
Take a look at my album and many nice ones you'll find,
Tangerine Trumpet Shell looks like one you may see at the beach,
Blue and Gold Tube Shell looks so nice it could be the award for a great speech!

Golden Shell is the rarest of them all,
Many try to find one by asking "Mirror Mirror on the Wall",
Without it you won't have the sea shells avatar that looks so cool,
It truly is any sea shell collector's crown jewel!

Treasure Beneath the Seas
by agedbeauty

If you travel to the seas,
Bring all your sons and daughters
For there's beauty and there's joy
Deep beneath the Neopian waters

Go on and take your family
To underwater fishing,
Where you can find the treasures
That have had you wishing

And sure, you might only find
An old rotten shoe
A mouldy pencile case
And rotten sandals, too

But there's true treasure too
Like a Rainbow Swirly Potion
Dubloons books and weapons
All deep beneath the ocean

Perhaps as you traverse
The pretty ocean seas
You'll fish up a paint brush
That might bring you to your knees

For you see, anyone who is fishing
Can find a lovely paint brush
They can be found at any level
So truly, there's no rush

So if you choose to visit
To appreciate the beauty
Or to meet a friend
Or even if you go out of duty

The odds might be low,
As you'll probably surmise,
But it's worth it to try to fish up
A truly lovely prize

Life on the Water
by ennyra

There's a little place I go,
To watch the sun meet the sea.
Whenever life gets too busy,
I feel it calling out to me.

Whatever your form of water,
Whether it's pond, lake, or sea,
Life is better where it's wetter,
On that we can all agree.

I like to watch the Flotsams,
Dancing in the waves.
And think about what could be found,
Hidden in underwater caves.

Going out on boats,
With only water all around,
Is one of the most relaxing,
Places that can be found.

Whenever you get down,
This is where I recommend.
Doesn't matter if you go alone,
Or bring along some friends.

You can watch the sun set or rise,
On the water it'll glisten.
Sit and take it all in,
It's surely worth the listen.

Code Switching en el Mar
by daschuffita

(Collab with actiontal)

Some of you set across a rolling sea
Pero el cielo es lo que me llama a mí
And wary in the depths of what’s down under
Aprendí a mantener los ojos arriba y adelante

Should you falter, seek the faerie Siyana
Su luz te ayudará a encontrar el mañana
Her companion in the deep, a faerie Scado
Te dará un pasaje seguro al otro lado

When her glow the storm clouds seem to dim
No creas jamás que será el fin
The tides are high, rough, and treacherous
Mas Siyana nunca abandona en un mal trecho

Bring to the sea the bravest sailors to steer
La canción de las hadas perdidas es lo que buscas oír
May a shooting nova be your guiding star
Y, al final del otro lado, prepárate para el deleitar

The Ruins of Maraqua
by hectic_haley

Oh the grand ruins of Maraqua,
A city drowned by fate.
A whirlpool loomed above,
the result of a dreaded curse.

The whirlpool that once did swirl,
A guard to secrets untold,
Has finally come to a rest,
Leaving secrets to unfold.

Beneath the waves, a kelp bed lies,
but something isn't right.
A statute of the darkest faerie was once there,
but is no more.

And still, the kelp bed whispers,
Of the curse that claimed the city,
And of the faerie's dark power,
That remains a mystery.

Along for the Ride
by discardedcrayons

Deep down in the seas of Neopia,
There be a Fishing Vortex,
Where Neopets of all shapes and sizes go to fish,
Up the treasures that magically appear.

But on this day,
A team of scientists were at play.
A Desert Aisha too interested in the plants,
She didn't event think to take a glance,
At what might be in the water that day.

To her surprise,
She hooked a Squid of good size.
The Giant Titanic Squid took her for a ride.
Away from the underground fishing,
Across the bubbling pit,
This poor Aisha wanted to throw a fit.

The Squid took her to the surface to see
A Mystery Island on the horizon.
But then they moved into the direction of Terror Mountain.

This Giant Titanic Squid zoomed
through the sea as fast as it could.
To the shallows of Shenkuu,
To get the Aisha the agility training she needed to do.

A Neofriend Mad Lib - The Sea Siren
by i_lovee_icecream

(Collab with truebrony)

The sailors began their voyage,
Looking to make some coinage.
A Pirate Techo swabs the deck,
Feeling ANXIOUS as he makes his check.

They sail on the SPARKLING water,
Watching the shoreline get smaller.
Praying they don’t get scurvy,
As they DEPART in a hurry.

The first night out at sea,
They chat by moonlight WITH GLEE.
When all of a sudden they hear,
A melody so SPLENDID coming near.

“What is that marvellous sound?”
A SHADOW Eyrie asks, looking around.
They see it - a SIREN on a rock,
All the sailors’ mouths dropped in shock.

This BEAUTY continued her singing,
To every word, the sailors were clinging.
She batted her eyes and DANCED,
With the onlookers quite ENTRANCED.

“Won’t you come down and play?”
She sang with a SPELLBINDING sway.
The crew leaned over the bow,
One fell overboard somehow.

“La, la, la; ah, ah, ah,”
Her voice so ALLURING and raw.
The sailor swam quickly towards her,
He ADORED her, of that he was sure.

As soon as he reached the siren,
The siren pulled him under the horizon.
With the two SUBMERGED and gone,
The MIDNIGHT silence was left to haunt.

Ocean Guardian
by bittersweet52

The ocean currents flow and its eddies swirl
Mysterious tides threaten to strand you at will
The waters churn and spin you awhirl
And all the while a damp mist rises until

Visibility is hindered and darkness consumes
Shadows flit by and your hairs stand on end
A shiver runs through you, a feeling so cold
As into the rolling fog you descend

The path that you choose is ill-advised
Something is tugging at you to go on your way
Lurking beneath you a darkness so massive
That gravity herself seems to be swayed

When you once again sail into clear skies and waters
You think back and wonder what pushed you aside
An omen, or sign? A synister feeling
Something protecting the treasure that hides

Deep within the interior of Lutari Island
Surely something amazing waits there to be found
But all who venture near by water are diverted
By something mysterious that leads them around

In circles they sail, through darkness and mist
Until supplies run low and they're forced to turn back
What Being protects this land from intruders?
What Guardian is fending it off from attack?

Marina and the Springs
by roxanna203

"Heal me! Heal me" is all I ever hear,
Everyone only cares about my career,
What I can provide or offer in my shop,
It's a quick 1, 2, 3, and off they hop.

I love to heal but I also love to talk,
Whenever I try to converse, they walk,
This does not let me down as I coach,
I continue to smile as another approach.

This little Peophin is not like the others,
She smiles brightly with her many colours,
Asks how my day is going along,
Offering to sing me a song.

She sang with a melody that I enjoyed,
I slowly joined in, hoping to not annoy,
She embraced me signalling to sing,
And louder we sang and laughed this spring!

Treasure of The Sea
by smart100000

Intrepid adventurers: make haste to explore,
The magnificence of the Maraquan seafloor.
Whether mountains or forests, the vistas of the air,
To the treasure of the sea cannot compare.

Rubies and diamonds, the most precious of jewels,
All pale in comparison to the Maraquan Kiko schools.
Glistening, gleaming, what a marvellous sight!
Their sparkling shells shine with iridescent light.

Beneath the brilliant shells, even beautiful more,
Rest the paragon pearls one can't help but adore.
A fashionable starfish affixed to their head,
With a smile that's sweeter than Twirly Fruit Bread.

Though they cannot move, their hearts desire,
To sing in harmony, in an underwater choir.
When the bivalves unite and all burst into song,
To the Maraquan Kikos, your heart shall belong.

Mad Tongue Murphy
by birdinggal

There once was a pet ‘twas lost at sea,
They call him now “Mad Tongue Murphy”.
For when he spoke you would agree,
No sense his words did make.

He’d often ramble of an Isle,
And how it held some terrors vile.
How monsters fearsome and hostile
Would eat you up at once.

They say he washed up on its shore,
At first entranced by its splendour.
A mighty fine place to explore -
A scientist’s paradise.

But soon his wonder turned to fear,
For creatures started to appear.
And looming eyes at him did peer -
Alone was he no more.

He knew he must escape this place,
On open sea his chances face.
A hope for freedom he would chase,
And leave this Isle behind.

But too long had he took to build
His raft and so his mind was filled
With nightmares that his bones did chill.
His wits were his no more.

The drifting, maddened Castaway,
No more to be the Island’s prey,
There hopes he that the monsters stay,
And will not come for him.

Tell, now, of the Island lost,
Where Mad Tongue Murphy there was tossed.
There where the terrors accost
Or so the legends say.

The Forgotten Shore
by precious_katuch14

I took a walk on the Forgotten Shore,
Beneath the morning sun,
Hoping to find some treasure
From ships long gone.

I took a walk on the shifting sand,
Watched the waves ebb and break,
Hoping to find some Neopoints
Left in their wake.

"Don't forget the Forgotten Shore!"
I didn't, so here I am.
But all I've found are shipwrecks,
And the odd shell of a clam.

I took a walk with my map,
There would be treasure, they said.
I was determined to find some
And not leave empty-handed.

I might find a treasure chest,
Or Neopoints buried in the sand.
And if I'm lucky, priceless jewels
From across the Neopian lands.

I took a walk on the Forgotten Shore,
They say fortune favours the bold.
So I set out bravely and boldly,
In search of treasures old.

I took a walk on the Forgotten Shore,
Spent the better part of a day.
But all I found was that
There was nothing of interest today.

Get Your Aquatic Petpet Today!
by rurirawr

The Rock Pool is the perfect place,
To buy a souvenir.
No matter if it's meant for you,
Or someone you hold dear.

The Yellow Kougra welcomes all,
Who set foot in his shop.
Aquatic Petpets housed in bowls,
In which they swim and flop.

Species and colours aplenty,
There's so much to explore.
The shopkeeper is sure you'll find,
The one you're looking for.

The Baby Blu is popular,
Because it's cute and cheap.
There's also the furry Meturf,
Another one to keep.

The curious and playful Lutra,
Is currently the fad.
A stark contrast to the Frowny,
Who's perpetually sad.

And there's the sneaky Crabula,
Clacking its big red claws.
Beside it is the huge Walein,
Known for its sturdy jaws.

The periwinkle Tanizard,
Is pretty and friendly.
But if you want exotic looks,
You'll fancy the Ghoti.

The Delfin is good company,
For playing clever games.
Whilst both the Sproing and Spirkle are,
Plain weird, just like their names.

Blue light sparks from the Primella,
It catches your interest.
As striking as the Ramosan,
Which zaps you if it's stressed.

So show some love for these Petpets,
And bring them back with you.
Give them a brand-new cosy home,
They're bound to love you too!

Friendly rivalry
by flaiyper

Jetsam and Flotsam, in the sea they do play,
Friends and rivals, in a friendly way.
They race with glee, and watch the waves go by,
In the Sea of Neopia, where adventures always lie.

With a powerful tail and quick agility,
They push each other, to reach their ability.
In every race, they strive to be the best,
Their friendship growing, above all the rest.

Laughter and cheers, fill the ocean air,
As they compete, without a single care.
No matter the outcome, their bond will remain,
In the Sea of Neopia, their friendship will sustain.

The Cyodrake's Gaze
by undergroundcowz

Gather ye lads around
For a tale of great renown
Of a storm and a slight
As we sailed through the night
On the Cyodrake's Gaze.

We made it to Krawk Island,
A sombre crew and Captain.
We were missing one
And our ship about done,
The poor old Cyodrake's Gaze.

The events of the days gone by
Relayed to a passerby.
A threat was spoken and a storm appeared
As we fought until the clouds all cleared,
With the Cyodrake's Gaze.

As we all met the morning
We discovered Hoban was missing.
With the ship now all better
We searched for more abettors
In the Cyodrake's Gaze.

Our crew was now suspicious.
Had someone made plans with malicious intent?
A question of who would do such a thing
Conflicting tales, what the future may bring
For the Cyodrake's Gaze.

Finally we found him in a crate
Our lost but found old crewmate.
He told us his story, our worries were real!
Pushed into the water after his meal
On the Cyodrake's Gaze.

Our chef's a subpar cook - it's true
But we couldn't know what he would do.
Pushed to the limit, he finally snapped,
Remember: be kind or watch your back…
With the Cyodrake's Gaze.

To dream of the sea
by kadface

Sometimes when I’m half asleep
Lying in my bed
I find myself drifting off to
The Five Seas instead.

With pillow sword firm in one hand
Compass in the other
We sail our ship to seek a new
Island to discover.

Tracing through the rolling waves
Over crest and trough
The ship is made of sturdy wood
Lest the seas get rough.

Upon the decks still freshly scrubbed
By the cabin boy
I hear a cry from the bird’s nest
“Ship Ahoy! Ship Ahoy!”

I see a sail of mottled grey
Is that a blackened hull?
A torn up flag of black and white
Adorned with a skull!

A sight to sink a sailor’s heart
A ship named The Revenge
Manned by swashbuckling pirates
To plunder and avenge.

Standing tall upon the prow
Captain Scarblade waits
Viscous snarl, temper cruel
Terror of the straits.

I wake up with a swallowed cry
Drenched in sweat replete
It takes a moment to recall
I’m safe between the sheets.

I wonder where I’ll sail to next
When I fall asleep
To dream of wind and rain and salt
And treasure in the deep!

Ode To Water Faeries
by therainbowsheep

Whether it be river or stream,
Water is this faerie's theme.
Be it a pond or an ocean vast,
Water faeries always have a blast.

When you are feeling down,
They can remove your frown,
With healing powers so great,
That are beyond first rate.

Also they are wise,
Knowledge the ultimate prize.
They seek books to learn,
For understanding they yearn.

If asked to help a water faerie,
Carry on with merry.
For they are beautiful, smart, kind
A better faerie you will not find!

The Vandagyre Scholar by the Sea
by swordlilly

His large amber eyes are always fixed
On a page, or ship, or distant thought.
He likes his coffee exactly mixed,
And his plate arranged like a flowerpot.

His pudgy wings don't see much use,
For he moves about ten metres in a day.
He's often lost in some abstruse
World, lost for hours till he finds his way.

But when he does, his insights are
So sharp that he must write them down
Right away. The notes and papers swirl on far
Into the night, below his quick frown.

And after submitting his latest work,
He nods off to sleep in his heavy chair;
Then wakes to stroll through the cold, salt murk
Till the next idea comes like a lighthouse flare.
