A Tale of an Usuki Fan

This is the tale of Poor Little Lucy
Whose biggest dream was to have an Usuki
But she couldn't afford to buy a doll,
Just admire them through the showcases at the mall

"Oh, Coltzan, can't you hear my praying?
Can you understand a single word I'm saying?
I promise I'll be the kindest girl of all
If you could just give me an Usuki Doll!"

Then Lucy saw a light so bright
And Coltzan appeared to her that night
Saying "Lucy, you'll get what you've asked for
As long as you follow, and don't ignore
All the compensations you'll have to give
In order to deserve what you'll achieve"

"First, be kinder to your brother,
As he's just a youngling like any other.
Second, be nicer to your mother,
As one like her, you won't find another.
Third, treasure what you have so far,
Because for the love you have, people wish upon a star!"

"Coltzan, I'd do anything
To have what you've promised to bring!"
So Lucy gave her all to become
A better person, for her brother and her mom
So she treated her brother with kindness
And for her mother, that longed for friendliness,
She gave all the love and politeness
She deserved, and that for her was priceless!

On Usukicon Day, Lucy woke up
And as she went to grab her cup
She saw a gift on the kitchen floor
Where she saw nothing the night before
It was an Usuki Doll with her name
And she knew her compensation finally came!
"Thank you so much to whoever gave me this doll,
And I'll still be a nice person from this day on!"

One Day in 365

Today marks a special day.
The clock steadily strikes closer
And anticipation crowds the room.

365 days in a year,
But they all count down to one.
A day that calls to all pets,
From lands both near and far.

Anxious, excited, and impatient;
They wait for it to begin.
With points in hand and badges round neck,
What will they discover?

The clock strikes ten,
The show has started.
Wide golden doors swing outwards, 
Beckoning for all to enter.

No longer must they wait,
Anticipation turns to awe.
Dolls line tables and shelves;
A myriad of costumes - true treasures galore.

Today marks a special day,
A day that calls to all.

your favourite day, Usukicon, is here!
Plushies, bags, and posters galore!
Better yet, you can get them in a store
for a short time, at a discounted rate.
If you can find them, it must be fate.

Buzzes, nimmos, krawks, and shoyrus,
all Neopets celebrate our beloved Usuls.
Their fluffy manes, their pointed ears,
if you meet one, you'll be full of cheer.

Those big wide eyes inquisitive and bright
leave you wondering with all your might
if beyond all the confetti and celebration
there could be a more wonderful creation.

Those big bows that grace Usuls with beauty
suddenly you protect with a sense of duty
from slanderous tongues that would dismiss
their majesty and ruin your newfound bliss.

With delight in your eyes and Usukis in your hands,
you find yourself wandering through the land
proclaiming on Neoboards and within the shops
that each and ever Usul is just 'the tops!'
as you put up flyers for the Annual Usuki Doll Convention
while all your friends say, "You need an intervention..."

You smile and nod as you try to convey
that nothing can disrupt your joy today.
Near, far, in your new Usuki Dream Car,
with all your heart, you know Usuls are the only star.

Usuki Doll Magic

Squinted to see clearer
But all she could see
Was a failure to be
An Usukigirl Usul.

She went to the market
To see how they marked it
She emptied her pockets
But didn't reach her target.

She sighed as she combed
Her Jhudora Wig at home
She knew she would never own
An Usuki paint brush of her own.

She thought of that number
As she prepared for slumber
And all night she wondered
Until sleep took her under.

She awoke to discover
As she lifted the covers
That that neck ruff of hers
Was now purple in colour.

She took off her wig
And she smiled really big
Because her dream had come true
Of hair purple and green in hue.

Any pet, big or small
Light or heavy, short or tall
Has the ability to share with all
The magic of an Usuki Doll.

utter bliss!
With gorgeous dolls

From Gardener to Geisha,
I’ll be here a while!

But this collector’s dream -

is a certain queen

It’s our queen, Fyora,
of avatar fame. 
And’s the cutest doll
in the Uzuki game.

another clown shoes -
new designs ensure we have

Crowds gather happily, 
exchanging tales and tips.
How to display their dolls,
how to read market dips.

A cute community with
a variety of tastes.
Some display their dolls vainly;
others converse with grace.
And a young collector has 
had a wonderful day. 
A new Explorer Uzuki,
she cannot wait to play!

Many models to try,

Take your rarest Usuki Doll,
Brag about it after all,
Make friends at the Convention,
Make free your imagination!

Raspberry Usuki Gumballs

These gumballs are quite perilous!
Please think before you buy!
They made me quite embarrassed once.
They made me sob and cry!

You see, I wanted something sweet
To snack upon one day.
I found these gumballs in a store,
And thought they’d be okay!

The bottle was innocuous,
Festooned with tiny ears.
It made me smile, and giggle too.
It filled me with such cheer!

I bought the gumballs, brought them home,
And popped one in my mouth.
I chewed it, chewed it, chewed some more,
Without a fear or doubt!

The gumball was delicious, and
I revelled in the taste!
I popped another in my mouth,
And chewed it with such haste!

But oh, alas, I did not know
What they would do to me!
I tried to talk to someone, and
My voice was just a squeak!

My voice was quite Usuki-fied!
It sounded shrill and high!
Would this change be quite permanent?
It made me scream and cry!

I squeaked, and squeaked, and squeaked some more.
I sobbed and hid my face.
Would I be changed forevermore,
A squeaking, strange disgrace?

But then I sighed with such relief!
The squeaking went away.
My voice was normal once again.
I yelled a loud, “Hurray!”

So be alert to all the things
These gumballs do to you!
Unless you want your voice to change,
They’re hardly worth the chew!
