Stick to Yooyus

So there I was,
Catching Yooyuballs on the fly,
Running, jumping, dodging.
I soared past the competition,
Two points! Three points!
Now my team's at thirteen!
The clock is counting down,
Tension in the air,
Somewhere far behind me,
I hear a fanatically cheering Techo.
This is it, my final moment,
I have to score fourteen!
I fake past Elon Hughlis,
Leaping over the opponent's offence,
And I score!
The crowd goes wild!
Yet when I turn toward my team,
Layton Vickles shakes his head
And looks glumly toward the scoreboard.
Why? What could it be?
I scored right before the buzzer!
Then my eyes follow his gaze,
And see the blank scoreboard, 0 to 0.
I don't understand,
What could have gone wrong?
I hadn't bobbed when I should have weaved,
I hadn't tried to score when I should have passed.
Then the answer came to me,
The fire Yooyu came up to me,
But it was limping kind of funny,
That's when I realised,
It hadn't been a Yooyu at all,
It was my rather angry magma Kiko.

Darigan Citadel for the Cup!

Darigan Citadel, of course!
We'll blow all others away!

You know you want to,
'cause we're not filled with rookies;
we have all the best players,

Yooyuball's way too easy,

other teams won't even be a threat!

I'm sure we won't fail,
in the end,
we're sure to prevail!

Make Some Noise

It's the Altador Cup time of year,
And the crazed Techo fan is right here,
So come, girls and boys,
And play "Make Some Noise,"
Try as hard as you can with that cheer!

So what is this game I should play?
Is it hard? Will it take me all day?
Does it need lots of skill?
Thinking hard? Sitting still?
Is it difficult? What do you say?

Are you sure that is all, is that it?
I just sit at my keyboard and hit...
On two keys really fast,
Gee, that sounds like a blast,
Then, I might have a go, in a bit.

I will tap just as fast as I can,
Cheering on, with that mad Techo fan,
And I'll get AC points,
For my sore finger joints?
Well, I hope I do, that is my plan.

He's a crazy fanatic, that guy,
Amphibious arms stretched out high,
His eyes bulging wide,
As he shouts for his side,
But don't stop, on your game, or he'll cry!

So if Yooyuball isn't your thing,
And you can't give those slushies a sling,
Or your shooting is bad,
And it's driving you mad,
"Make Some Noise" is the song you should sing!

To kick some other team's butt,
And to boo some other team's goals;
To yell at that referee again,
To bemoan fickle Yooyus again.

It's the Altador Cup!

The only time of the year
When you're actually allowed

Don't be shy, we're all insane!

Because I really hope you are.)

You see,

We're oh-so-excited,
We've been cordially invited
To the greatest event of the year.
Our excitement's so contagious,
It's an unstoppable global fever --

MAKE SOME NOISE, I say!

For the sportsmanship
(Of course, what else?),
For teammates and for slushies;
But most of all, we make some noise
For that coveted cup --

Team Moltara

The Altador Cup is finally here,
And there is a new spiffy team,
Players from Moltara are looking their best:
Ready to win, it would seem.

Captain Aldric Beign is a leader, to be sure,
Playing Left Forward, he scores with ease,
With his prowess and honed skills,
He'll bring the other teams to their knees.

Mor Gollog is a fine goalkeeper,
Like a rock he defends his goal,
Catching flying Yooyuballs,
With such power and control.

Acara Tulah is a fiery one,
Quick to score, but quick to temper too,
Let's hope that young Kisner
Does not do anything that she'll later rue.

Vere Polnicek as Left Defender
Is a tough one, to be sure.
While he can be inconsistent at times,
The ball in his hands is still quite secure.

Finally there's young Zax Bannet,
A Scorchio who excels at guarding and speed,
But his inexperience is obvious at times:
He's fairly easy to mislead.

With such a fine team, it's obvious
That Moltara has a good chance to win:
At the very worst, however,
They'll be causing quite a din!
