DISCOVERY OF BRIGHTVALE SPECIAL
A Place Of Knowledge
by Kuroge
The neighbor of Meridell,
Brightvale sits proud,
for its many wise citizens,
knowledge is endowed.
In the Royal Potionery,
you will clearly see,
the many concoctions,
their high complexity.
Princess Roberta
resides in the Scrollery,
where the many scrolls
its teak shelves carry.
A library of knowledge,
always so warming,
there will surely be a book
that you find charming.
A hammering can
be heard from outside,
a look and you will see
the Glaziers to one side.
At the impressive armoury,
you will find a selection
of the wisely-crafted robes
that will ensure protection.
A Place of Knowledge,
for everyone to share,
where, to learn,
is to care.

Ode To Brightvale Motes
by Agedbeauty
When we talk of Brightvale,
Everyone talks of its king!
Of books and armour,
Hagan and knowledge,
And the wheel is everything!
But when I think of Brightvale,
You know what comes to mind?
Not Hagan, not the wheel,
Not avatars, not wisdom,
But motes of every kind!
There are, of course,
The standard motes:
Air mote, salt mote,
Bubble mote, and fire mote,
More than I could hope to quote!
But my favourite motes of all
Aren’t the ones you think!
No lava motes or snow motes,
Or even hail or smoke
Will even make me blink.
But oh, the punny motes
Make me giggle every time,
Dee Motes and Ree Motes,
And oh, Ee Motes!
Make me laugh as they rhyme.

An Ode To Stained Glass
by Rielcz
It glistens and shines,
It's beautiful, magical
The light that pours through
Gives your Neohome a show
Just look at the signs
It's wonderful, fanciful
Are you going to
Buy a stained glass window?
There's so many to choose from
Without any hassle
Pieced together carefully
With highest esteem
Let me provide some:
The Brightvale Castle
The Library Faerie
Even an evergreen!
So, in conclusion,
No Brightvale Day's complete
Without honoring
The land's main export
It's a glass / metal fusion
A concept so neat
A noteworthy Brightvale thing
Display them, show Brightvale support!

King Hagan's Wisdom
by Dr_tomoe
Brightvale is often known as
The home of intelligence and scholars,
But most Neopians like to say
It's home to the Wheel of Knowledge.
Its prizes are amazing
And the price is quite fair,
For only 400 Neopoints
You can get something quite rare.
The grandest prize of all,
What everyone tries to win,
The grand prize of the wheel
Is King Hagan's wisdom.
While avatar collectors may disagree,
And game players would like hints,
It's getting Hagan's wisdom that makes
Those Neopoints well spent.
Wisdom he gives out, like how
Smart Neopet speaks out
But a wise Neopet listens
King Hagan can spout
Or how a book never opened is
Like a sword never unsheathed,
And how one should see obstacles as they are,
Not like how they appear to be.
And as you ponder upon his wisdom
about what he has just said,
Neopia is just a little smarter,
thanks to the Wheel of Knowledge.

Brightvale Vacation
by Fleur_411
If you’re looking for a place
To take a little vacation to
I know somewhere, it’s just great,
It’s definitely the place for you!
You may be wondering where this is --
It’s of the kingdom of Brightvale I tell,
There are books and fruits and scrolls,
And it’s only 50 miles from Meridell!
You’ll have to visit the castle
And meet the wise old king,
If you impress him with your wisdom
He’ll reward you with a book about something!
And you need to head on over
To the Wheel of Knowledge to take a spin,
It may be a little expensive
But it is worth it when you win!
And, of course, you will want to try
Some of the famous Brightvale fruits,
They are all quite delicious, of course,
But I recommend the Shishkafruit!
And, before you head back home,
You’ll just have to make a stop
At the Royal Potionery
To watch things fizzle and pop!
So, get going! Pack your bags!
It is time to start your trip!
Head on over to Brightvale now
And you’ll be very glad that you did!

That Place West Of Meridell
by Beagums
We may not have farms
Like our ol' Eastern neighbours,
Or a round-bellied king
With a fine taste in flavours.
We don’t flip our coins
Or play cards on round tables.
We don’t race our Turdles,
Though surely we’re able.
Our shapes never shift,
Nor does cheese roll downhill,
And we don’t send our Petpets
Down a hole for a thrill.
Our beasts are not large,
Nor potatoes extreme.
We don’t have many supporters
For our Yooyuball team.
But ask us a question,
Any subject will do.
All our people are glad
To share knowledge with you!
We’ll teach about math,
Or science, or language.
We’ll share all our stories;
Our history, our anguish.
So come stop on by,
Give our wheel a big spin.
You never can tell
The great things you might win!
What else can we teach you?
Give an example, you say?
Well, Brightvale was discovered
Eight years ago today.

The Brightvale Glazier
by Rickymok
Under the spreading Brightvale trees
The glazier’s workshop stands;
The glazier, a mighty man is he,
With large and sinewy hands;
And the muscles of his brawny arms
Are strong as iron bands.
Week in, week out, from morn till night,
We can hear his bellows blow;
We can hear him swing his heavy sledge
With measured beat and slow,
Like a guard ringing the kingdom bell
When the evening sun is low.
And children coming home from castle
Look in at the open door;
They love to see the spectacular windows
And hear the flaming forges roar,
And catch the burning sparks that fly
Like chaff from a threshing floor.
Toiling, - rejoicing, - sorrowing,
Onward through life he goes;
Each morning sees same task begun,
Each evening sees its close;
Something attempted, something done,
Has earned a night’s repose.
Thanks, thanks to you, our worthy friend,
For the lesson you have taught!
Thus, on the flaming forge of life
Our fortunes must be wrought;
Thus, on its sounding anvil shaped
Each burning deed and thought.

A Celebration
by Sylviau
The crown of Brightvale, standing tall,
From which the humble village sprawls,
A monument admired by all,
Never failing to enthrall,
With stained glass windows in the halls,
Lining all the castle walls,
All the steeds within their stalls,
In preparation for the ball,
Guests arrive, both big and small,
Wrapped in bright and ornate shawls,
From the dawn of day until night falls,
Citizens that heed the call,
For many of them do recall:
A celebration is in due,
The discovery changed Neopia's view,
As every humble worker knows,
Today marks the day the kingdom arose!

Dear Wheel Of Knowledge,
by Harloh
Why do you hate me so?
Why do I rank so low?
That avatar is all I need.
Every last owner knows
I've had over 600 goes,
And still I have yet to succeed.
I want to pull out my hair,
It just isn't fair!
My friend got it on the first try!
And let it be revealed:
If I get another Wooden Blocking Shield,
I think I might break down and cry.
The smug smirk on the Draik
is more than I can take,
I just want to land on that star!
Oh, and "wisdom" as a prize?
Well, what makes YOU so wise?
Who do Brightvalians think that they are?
Okay, I'm getting carried away,
I'll just take my daily play,
I can always hope for the best!
I'll go wait in line,
And I'll just be fine,
I apologize for my angry jest.
Look, it's my turn to spin!
I can't wait to begin,
I wonder what the game will yield...
It's slowing down now... wait...
Are you serious? Great.
Yet another Wooden Blocking Shield.

Roberta, Saviour And Sorcerer
by Redeemyourself
Way back in the day,
Old Brightvale was found.
The land needed a ruler,
So King Hagan was crowned.
He took to the throne
With his niece at his side.
But she was no princess,
Despite how she tried.
She was a diplomat,
Noble and kind.
It wasn't long, however,
Until she soon resigned.
With her love for magic,
Sorcery was her call.
Roberta was eager to learn,
She placed it above all.
She sought some help,
From Seradar her friend.
His excellent teaching
We truly commend.
For he led to salvation
From the Darkest Faerie.
Roberta cast a spell
And all was merry.
Roberta returned home
And back to her shop.
For this busy Acara,
Her day doesn't stop!
We thank you Roberta,
For all you have done.
Be proud of your work,
For Brightvale has won!
