PEOPHIN DAY SPECIAL

A Peophin's Struggle
By Forbiddensoulja

An aged Peophin
Laying on the shores of Mystery Island,
Reminiscing her past
Wth all its inhabitants smiling.
Questioning her owner's motives
In a life-changing decision,
He disowned her
And shattered her life's greatest ambition.
Her life is a mystery,
Like the Faerie Queen's Hidden Tower,
Making history as a survivor
Of the Tyrannian meteor shower.
Cursed only to see more sorrow
In all the wars of Neopia,
She's wandered the whole world
Hoping she can cope with it all.

Her life was changed
When a light faerie gave her a quest,
She blessed her
And told her not to fail like the rest.
Her newfound abilities
Giving her a meaning to existence,
She fought the evils of her life
With unmatched persistence.
She goes to the dark side of the moon
And has contact with aliens.
She called them Grundos, but sees
That someone is up to no good,
Realizing Dr.Sloth's plans
And she does all that she could.

She finds the purpose of her life
In the helping of others,
Spending her time spreading her truth
From one to another.
She gives light to the dark
And brings courage to the cowards,
She even helped Meridell
By inspiring Skarl's rise to power.
Growing up thinking she would never make it
And never achieve it,
Looking back and what she's done,
No one would ever believe it.
She has touched everything
From the Ice Caves, an icy trove,
She served her purpose
And she just wants to go home.

Perfect Peophins
By Jamjammydodger

Peophins are a magical bunch,
You could even call them quite rare!
As with all spectacular creatures, they are shy,
So do try not to scare.

Happy, easily pleased, good-natured,
You could say, all around,
They don't prove difficult at all,
Some Peophin owners have found.

I already have two wonderful pets,
And don't really want any more,
But if I did want another,
A Peophin I'd get, that's for sure!

Then, the colours you can paint them!
I think faerie is the best,
Though I'm sure that most owners,
Wouldn't mind having all the rest!

So thanks for listening to this poem,
About the Peophin kind.
Now go the the Pound and adopt one,
I'm sure they wouldn't mind!

Early Peophin Celebrations
By Servonni

Hurray for the Peophin!
On this very day,
Let's bring out the party!
Some fun to light the way!

Those majestic sea-horses,
With their jeweled face plates!
It's their day today,
Let's give 'em a cake!

If you've got a Peophin,
And I myself have two,
Treat them splendidly today!
You know you want to!

New Peophin things to buy:
Furniture, foods, and more!
Backpacks, lunchboxes,
New colours galore!

Celebrate your Peoph--
What's that you say?
I'm three days too early?
Oh well... HURRAY!

Peopatra's Petpets
By Stariell

If your search for a Petpet
To the Lost Desert leads,
There's a special stall there
That sells lots of rare breeds.

Peopatra's the owner,
Such a kindly Peophin,
She loves every Petpet,
Furred, feathered or finned.
It is a long story,
How she started her stall,
If you're sitting comfortably,
I'll tell you it all.

Peopatra was off
To the market one day,
When fate put a needy Petpet
In her way.
She found a Wadjet
Who was sick, scared and hurt,
And took him home with her,
Wrapped up in her shirt.
Carefully she nursed him
And helped ease his pain,
Before very long
He was better again!

Not long after that,
A poor Khonsu she found,
Who was starving and scrabbling
For food on the ground.
She took him home, too,
And before very long,
The Petpets in her home
Had become quite a throng!
She had one of each colour,
And of every breed,
All those Petpets
Were becoming expensive to feed.

One day Peopatra
With a young Kacheek met,
Who was looking in vain
For her missing Isfet.
It was the Kacheek's lucky day!
She found out where it was,
Peopatra had rescued
And helped it, of course!
Now the Kacheek was as happy
As happy could be,
And said Peopatra
Should help Petpets professionally.

So that's how it began,
With Peopatra's good deeds,
Now she makes a living
From the Petpets she breeds.
Tending her stall
In the Lost Desert all day,
She's still not too busy
To take in a stray.
So if you are looking
For a Geb, Khnum or Wadjet,
You know where to look
For a happy Petpet!

Miracles on Peophin Day
By Pinksunflowr

Luxurious hair, a beautiful tail,
Swimming through the sea.
So strong, but somehow frail,
That's how I used to be.

Right after my first encounter,
With the Lab Ray, so sinister.
I looked into the mirror, which shattered to bits,
And what I saw had scared me: I had three lips!

What had I become? What was I not?
I gave myself a fright,
As I had not two eyes.
"I am ugly!", I had shouted with might.

"What happened to me?"
I shouted loudly.
I cried and complained,
But it was all in vain.

What is done is done,
And time couldn't be turned.
I am what I've become,
And to accept it, I should learn.

Oh, how I envied those other Peophins,
Who could still swim freely,
Who were not mutants.
Oh, how I wish one of them was me, me, ME!

As I walked through the clouds of Faerieland,
I was blinded by a beam of golden light,
I reached out with my mutant hand,
To see what was causing my terrible fright.

To my surprise, a voice had spoken,
A voice so soft and sweet:
"Here is my blessing, happy Peophin Day,"
And a tingly feeling invaded my feet.

Pretty soon, it was over,
And as I looked at myself,
"I have two eyes! I have not one eye!
What is this? I can fly?!"

I felt different and funny -- it was all a blur,
I looked at myself, and this I am sure:
A beautiful tail and luxurious hair...
"I am a Faerie Peophin!" I proudly declare.

"The nightmare is over,"
I am happy to say.
And now believe in the miracles
That happen on Peophin Day!
