Scaredy-Kau
By Harpydevil

Sometimes playing Neopets
can give me quite the fear.
Dragon could get hungry
if I was not so near.
I play the Wheel of Excitement,
and much to my suprise,
my Tonu has become watery
right up in his eyes!

If I was not so cautious,
who knows what might just go?
A ghost could come around the corner
and then steal all my dough.

I never buy more Neostock.
Or sell at any rate.
If Power-X Corp. afterwards went up,
then I would buy too late! :(

I never play those scary games.
What if I broke high score?!?
Then someone would be mad at me,
and me they would abhor.

But Neopia ain't all so bad.
At least there's someone there.
I know my Neofriends will be watching.
They're the ones who tend to my care.

Two Little Hasees!
By Top_busted_fan

Two little Hasees
Both one of a kind!
Sitting on a seesaw
With doughnutfruit in mind!

The type of 'fruit don't matter
Any one will do.
Whether it's blue or yellow
These Hasees don't fuss
(Just as long as it's not poo!)

You can find them in the treetops
In the evenings and the day.
Just listen for their laughter
It's them eating their buffet!!!

The Curse of Vanity
By Anjie

A manic laugh, a wicked scream,
Reflection shines in mirror's gleam.
An image dwells in inky black,
A vile Acara, staring back.
So horrid is this ghastly guise,
Self-loathing lurks in empty eyes.

It seems forgotten, even now,
A memory mind shall not allow.
A pretty creature, proud and vain,
Now as a monster will remain.
In flowered field she once did stray,
And Vira's curse began that day.

For pride doth come before a fall,
And though she seemed to have it all.
It seems that beauty cannot win,
When vanity is firm within.
A wicked whisper, firm and low,
Changed beauty's life, so long ago.

Now twisted, bitter, and so changed,
She dwells in anger, so deranged.
That pretty creature is no more,
A sight for pity is each flaw.
For ego only made things worse,
And vanity was Vira's curse.

To Treasure Dung
By Roseinfestedsoul

Oh dung, sweet dung
How could they
Tease and make fun?

Idle dung
Lying in the soft ground
You don't even make sounds
So how could they
Tease and make fun?

Dung, smelling dung
Just clog up your nose
And the bad feeling goes
So how could they
Tease and make fun?

Dung, belittled dung
Being opposed while stepped on
Being thrown off your own lawn
So how could they
Tease and make fun?

Fighting Spirit
By Debs2006

My Kougra trained hard
Every day and all night,
But still his battles
Were always bleak,
His opponents were too tough
Or his weapons too weak,
There was also something that
Got in the way of the fight.

He hung his head when
They called out his name,
His face burning and
Paws clenched tight,
He was sick of it,
It was always
"Maybe another battle"
"Maybe another night"
But when the next one came,
Alas, he was always the loser again.

His dream, you see
Was to be a hero,
A legend, a champion
And a Battledome king
His fans would gasp and cheer
When he entered the ring,
When he was face to face with them,
Quiver with fear would his opponent or foe.

No matter what he did
Or how hard he prayed
The battle never seemed
To go his way,
The opponent would attack him first
Then dodge and sway,
And he'd be left like a loser,
Alone in the shade.

After so many painful losses,
Defeats, and shames
I tell him, "Give it up, you're fighting
A losing battle, you'll never win"
He simply replies, "This is my dream.
Even though it might never
come true I can't give in.
Because if i do I'm dead inside
For what is life with no dreams?"

And so he goes on,
Train, fight, train, fight
Losing every time,
Leaving with a heavy heart
But determined as a shooting arrow,
Or a speedy dart,
He may just win one of these days,
Who knows? he just might.
