FAERIE FESTIVAL SPECIAL

A Faerie Festival Poem
By Party_dreamer

The lands of Neopia awaken to hear music play,
What exciting event is happening today?
It can only be the Faerie Festival taking place,
Famous for its enchanting magic and grace.

All of the faeries gather on Jhudora's Cloud,
Receiving cheers from the growing crowd.
Now the festive activities are all ready,
All around Neopians throw handfuls of confetti.

A day when faerie-themed games are oh-so-popular,
And new faerie foods taste just spectacular.
A day where special faerie items have been made,
To be revealed in the fabulous faerie parade.

Fyora sits high in her new dress of twinkling frills,
Watching the Battle Faerie show her fighting skills.
The Space Faerie tells adventures from outer space;
Jhuidah makes cooking pot items, smile on her face.

Fellow Neopians ensure bottled faeries are released,
So that they may also join the grand faerie feast.
Jhudora and Illusen have been friends for the day --
At night, they show their dazzling fireworks display.

Now the Faerie Festival is over and all can agree,
It has been a day of magic, dreams, and glee.
So as Neopians read their new faerie books in bed,
They can look forward to the exciting day ahead.

Where Are the Faeries?
By Anjie

Something is amiss right here,
For no one is about.
Faerieland is at a halt,
And why? I can't work out!
Neopia is standing still,
No faeries to be found.
Could this be a dire thing?
(Is Balthazar around?)

The Rainbow Fountain is unmanned,
Its waters have run dry.
Jhudora's Cloud, deserted now,
So idly drifts by.
The Hidden Tower, locked up tight,
A latch to guard the door.
The barren clouds of Faerieland,
One cannot just ignore!

Psellia has fled off her cloud;
On Healing Springs, a sign.
'Back tomorrow, break of dawn,
So please all form a line.'
Wheel of Excitement only spins,
At whim of merry breeze.
Illusen's Glade is empty too,
Except for bowing trees.

Ilere, Jhuidah, Nuria
Are nowhere to be found!
Yet within Fyora's home,
We hear a merry sound.
Faerie Festival today,
It's laughing that you hear!
All are inside, for this day off,
Arrives just once a year.

Fountain Faerie's Quest
By _Razcalz_

Upon the clouds of Faerieland,
A fabled fountain spews.
Sparkling droplets, magic pool,
A pet it'll paint for you.
Powers held by guardian fair,
The Fountain Faerie sits.
I desired the water's charms,
Ever since I learned of it.

Without ado, I journeyed forth,
To splendid Faerieland.
Rainbow Fountain lay above,
Magnificent and grand.
Alas, 'twas more than met the eye,
It wouldn't work for me.
"You need a quest," the faerie said,
"My magic's not for free."

The quests are random, I was told,
And very, very rare.
If I managed to succeed,
She'd paint my pet with flair.
"That's no problem," I declared,
"I'll find a Fountain Faerie Quest!"
Overfilled with confidence,
I sought one with zest.

I travelled, wandered many months,
All over Neopia's lands.
Meridell Castle, Haunted Woods,
Across the Desert's sands.
I came across so many things:
Stones and shells, a treasure chest,
Even giant Snowager...
All but Fountain Faerie's quest.

And so it goes, my endless search,
For what I've yet to find.
Today's the Faerie Festival,
When faeries are most kind.
Would the Fountain Faerie be as well?
My chances may be best!
If you see me 'mongst the crowd...
I'm busy looking for a quest!

The Forgotten Faerie
By Mefaniel

She doesn't make you faster or stronger,
Yet her kindness goes a little bit longer.
Up before the sun because of her big heart,
There will be many, she needs an early start.

Labouring with love over her magical stew,
Her gift is special, what she is meant to do.
The others scoff, 'You get NOTHING in return!'
She smiles sweetly, unscathed by the spurn.

Knowing that her task IS its own reward
She opens the door, turning the "Welcome" board.
Realising there will be swindlers, liars, thieves --
She recognises the kind, fast as you please.

But there are terrible dark faeries who steal her pot,
Why it happens, she gives it not a second thought.
Her heart is the most pure of all the faeries
Though to whom you speak, the story often varies.

Opening her door daily to the hungry and needy,
She always finds a way to serve them speedy.
She toiled, so you could eat when you were poor.
Still does it today, as patrons multiply at her door.
So when the Faerie Festival is in full swing,
It's the Soup Faerie's blessings that you should sing!

The Grey Faerie
By Brilliance109p

The day is heavy-hearted
Beneath a spiritless sky,
Rain like tears most woebegone
Pour and fall and cry.

Her eyes are full of misery,
Silvery hair, cascading,
She sits alone in sorrow.
Her very heart is fading.

Her wings may have been marvellous
Once beautiful, intact.
But now we say they're nothing more
Than feathers on her back.

Her tattered soul is dull and sad,
Her dress is patched and torn,
Day and night she'll sit and sigh
Amid a raging storm.

Fate has not been generous,
Her luck looks dead and bare.
And grief has worn her well away
Soon there'll be nothing there.

When paint brushes cost 1 NP,
When evil reconciles,
Perhaps one day when Snorkles fly,
The Grey Faerie will smile.
