Where Are You, Towel?
By Xayezi

I've been in many worlds... many know that,
In search of a towel (I'm sick of table mats).
A towel so different, so never indifferent,
As unique as a beach towel, more than its equivalent.

Printed are some, with elaborate colour,
Some signifying worlds, like Tyrannia and Altador.
Or even a Neopet like a Koi or any,
But I'm looking for one, and not too many.

What is my reason, is this what you ask?
Maybe use this towel because of a task,
A quest for a faerie... no, that is not true,
Because it is mine... and certainly not for you!

I long for this towel, for the pleasure
Of life living with this textile treasure.
The colour... the texture! However may
I find that towel, on Towel Day...

Sob, sob, sob... sniff, sniff, sniff...
I need that towel, and not a Ghostkerchief!
To dry my tears that can fill any pot...
Where are you, towel? Where are you not!?

Maraquan Nightmare
By Togepi_forever

Can you see the future now,
or is it only me?
Can you see this future that
so many cannot see?
Can you see them falling, falling
injured to the floor?
Or are you one of oh-so-many
who won't believe me anymore?
I want to go back to how it was
(be as it was, not as it's been)
and be beside my precious sister,
my dear Isca once again.
Why will none believe me (oh, please)
when all I say is true?
Would you not believe me
if I said the sky is blue? (is it not blue?)
They are coming, they will fight us --
please, don't let Maraqua fall.
She may have thrown me out
but she still holds those I love --
I'll give her everything (oh, my precious sister)
Why are you all laughing? (leave me)
Oh, please leave my mind alone!
Can't you see me here? (It's my mind!)
Where is Isca? (Isca, help me!)
Save me, save me from this place,
please, oh please, let me forget
all that I have seen.
It's not true (don't let it be true).
Why does someone wish to torment me so?
This war that's coming, oh
please tell me it's a dream;
Tell me they're not real (they can't be real),
all these things that I have seen.
Pirates won't attack (they couldn't!)
they won't take my former home;
Isca, make these demons leave me --
LEAVE MY MIND ALONE!
Sister, is that you? (I see you.)
I can sleep now that you're here;
it's only a dream, a dream (a nightmare)
and you take away my fear.
Let's just stay like this forever,
forever (oh, oh, can we please?)
But I know it's just an illusion --
for the two of us there is no peace.
But for now I'll just pretend,
and listen to your lullaby
For this night (and just this one night)
I know that I shall not cry.

A Gallion of Meridell
By Anjie

Clear as crystal, brilliant day,
The castle stands so proud.
Regal trumpets greet the day,
Their tune melodic, loud.
Amidst the realm of Meridell,
One creature doth stand out.
His noble bearing shall define,
What royalty's about.

Gallion, pride of Meridell!
A tiny dragon friend!
Not quite a beast, a little small,
But one can just pretend.
Preening in an owner's grasp,
Attention do they crave.
This alone prevents a bite,
(For some just won't behave!)

Often do they roam the realm,
Those wings spanned wide.
To castle do they amble up,
And often walk inside!
Some say it's because they're bold,
Or don't respect Skarl's space.
The truth is Gallions are quite bright,
And think they own the place!

Baby Eyrie at Play
By Larkspurlane

Fall comes, and with it
The changing trees,
And most importantly
For this baby Eyrie,
The falling leaves.

Watch now as she darts
After the red, the yellow, the gold,
Crouches, paws,
Pounces, gnaws,
With her little blunt beak.

Her look is intense:
The crumbling leaf is her prey,
She tumbles, she frisks,
Infant wings spread,
Soft-feathered, tiny,
And useless still.

One day those wings
Will beat the air and
She will rise, fierce, with a grace
Of motion unfathomable,
Unbound from earth's shackles,
And one day her beak will be a blade,
And her swats will maul,
And her pounce will strike fear
In the hearts of lesser creatures,
And her upward leap into the sky
Will be pure poetry,
Wings outspread, pinions ablaze
Backlit by the noon's brilliance,
And her eye will be fire
Staring into the sun
To see its own image,
And then, with a wing beat
And a flash of speed,
She'll ascend into the blue.

But now she is too busy
To think on these things.
She crawls and she leaps,
Pounces after a golden leaf,
Trips on her own too-large feet,
And finally curls up
Under tiny soft-plumed wings
To dream sweet dreams of leaves,
Or perhaps, of wing-beats.

Happy Towel Day!
By Iloenchen

A pile of towels, one by one,
Stacked up on the bathroom shelves.
There they lie, alone and forgotten,
For company nobody but themselves.

But all this will be over today,
Neopia will honour towels once more.
Towel Day has finally arrived,
Get your towels out of that drawer.

Wear a towel around your neck,
Or sling it across your shoulder,
Get a red one and a green one,
Take them down from the towel holder.

But what if you run out of towels?
Do not fear, the Grooming Shop
Has lots of them for sale today;
If you need one it'll be your first stop.

Even Petpets like the towels,
Use them to play games today;
If you cannot find your towels,
With your Petpets is where they stay.

"Don't walk around without your towel,"
You hear a Darigan Techo growl.
So what are you still waiting for?
Get up and grab that towel.
