FAERIE FESTIVAL SPECIAL
Fire earth water air,
Faeries here and faeries there.
Singing songs and merry rhymes,
A break within these troubled times.
For light and dark the battle ends,
A time when all can be good friends.
Then it starts all hard work done,
It is time to have some fun.
So give a cheer and celebrate,
To those who marked this happy day,
The faerie festival.
They flit and float and flutter by
Once released into the sky
A glowing light
As they take flight
Glittering, glistening, glimmering by night
The stars above seem somewhat dimmed
And all watch, legged, winged or finned
Land so light they're hardly there
A day for them is only fair
Thousands of wings flap in the air
They watch as the others sing
Voices pure, in ears they ring
But we fail to comprehend--
Are they there or just pretend
Their heavenly chorus comes to an end
As the faeries say goodbye
I stand and smile and then I sigh
The night is not young, I have to go
The Festival's end is something I know
Singing fades and dancers end their show
The Faerie Festival is over here
But I will come to watch next year
The Faerie Festival (Illusen vs. Jhudora)
The Faerie Festival had finally come
A day of food and of fun and of play
Most faeries were happy it was finally here
But not all quite felt that way
For Illusen's spirits were extremely low
As she knew the host for the occasion
Was a faerie that she overtly detested
That was vile and evil and brazen
She remembered with horror last year's event
Which had been held at her very own glade
Jhudora had grudgingly come to bear witness
And had ended the party with flames
"And now it'll be a fiasco this year too,
'Cause she's hosting it right on her cloud.
Who knows what horrors she keeps at her house?
What terrors she'll unleash at the crowd?"
The earth faerie's mind was muddled and spent
As she cautiously left for the lair
But to her utter shock and surprise
The festival was a perfect affair
Not a single incident happened all night
As they danced and they ate and they sang
And when Illusen finally confronted her rival
She couldn't muster a single complaint
"This event was the best out of all that I've seen,"
And she felt in her heart it was true
But Jhudora just gave her a sinister smile
And responded, "Take that! I beat you!"
Dance of the Fire Faeries
Dusky twilight settles soft,
The evening cloak doth drape.
Silken onyx is the sky,
The cosmic stars take shape.
Within a forest far away,
Upon that special night.
Faeries blessed with fire wings,
So poised, all take to flight.
There between the sighing boughs,
They start to twirl, slow.
A hundred pairs of faerie wings,
Like ardent flames do glow.
Formation is instinctual,
They move with endless grace.
Inferno patterns in the dark,
Each faerie's steps shall trace.
A festival unto itself,
For those who burn so bright.
Fire faeries spinning fast,
Bring crimson to the night.
With tiny steps they dance along,
Upon enchanted breeze.
The stars above their only guests,
Beyond the bowing trees.
A million tiny flames alight,
Formed by the blazing wings.
In shades of red and tangerine,
Such fragile, vibrant things.
Like endless flame one spins aloft,
So delicate, she turns.
All around her, faeries dance,
The ring of fire burns.
Fluttering wings scatter around,
On and on, above the ground
Faeries are rejoicing today
It's the Faerie Festival, hooray!
Fyora, Illusen, Jhudora, too;
Not a single faerie is blue
On the Faerie Festival so grand
It's the greatest day in all the land!
Balthazar, with all his might,
Does his best to stop the fright
He puts on faeries for just once a year
The Faeries rejoice and kiss him...oh dear!
This celebration across the nation
Is a simple dedication
To noble Faerieland
Come and witness it firsthand!
The faeries love new visitors
There are no inquisitors
Just happy smiling faces
Standing by to hand out loving embraces.
