BLUMAROO DAY SPECIAL

A Tribute to Blumaroos
By Jessalii

On this very day, long ago,
With long tails and big bright eyes,
The Blumaroo came to Neopia
And gave us all a surprise!

Blumaroos are happy things,
And they're never without a smile.
Why don't you go to Roo Island
And play Dice-A-Roo for a while?

There are many famous Blumaroos,
King Roo is one, alright.
But his enemy, Advisor Broo,
Is quite a nasty sight!

There are other, scary pets like these,
Commander Garoo is still hiding today.
And make sure your window
Is closed and shut tight,
Or Count Von Roo will take you away!

Blumaroos can be many colours,
Like faerie, baby... shadow, too.
Glowing, starry, and Halloween,
But my favourite's the spotted hue!

They could be limited edition one day!
Oh, what a horribe fright!
So if you have a Blumaroo,
Be sure to treat it right!

There are many pets in Neopia,
I really like the Shoyru.
But my favourite Neopet of all
Is one they call a Blumaroo!

The Blumaroo Guide To Dancing
By Stariell

Given half or all a chance,
Blumaroos just love to dance.
So if you're up for nonstop fun,
Let me show you how it's done!

Bounce to the right and stamp your feet,
Jump to the Mystery Island beat.
Swing your tail and turn right 'round,
As they did when old King Roo was crowned.

Twirl and jump and bounce and sing,
Shake that funky Blumaroo thing.
Crouch right down and bear your fangs,
Count Von Roo just loves to dance.

Wiggle your ears and count to ten,
Step side to side and clap and then,
Turn and jump, and jump again,
Just like the Blumaroo hero Rohane.

All Blumaroos can strut their stuff,
Just one dance is never enough.
Now you know just what to do,
Go and dance like a Blumaroo!

Unlucky
By Odeliepie

O great King Roo
In boredom you
Created one fine game.

Just toss the dice
Once, twice, thrice
No roll is quite the same.

I'll roll a red
A plus, a check
And maybe then the arrow.

Get to the blue
Will I make it through
To green? Just by a hair-o.

The gold is next
Is it the best?
No, but we're almost there.

The arrow again
Here comes the win!
But then the skull's cold stare.

Count Von Roo
By Lady_knight184

In the midst of the night,
A hopping noise is heard.
A Neopian screams in fright,
As the hopper does emerge.

The hopper's a Blumaroo,
With a cape.
His name is Count Von Roo,
And he creates Neopian's fates.

He grins his dirty grin,
And says to play a game.
And who do you think shall win?
Or go home in shame?

This game is like no other,
Its name even strikes fear.
You really shouldn't bother,
With Count Von Roo right here.

This is Deadly Dice,
And it explains itself.
It's not that nice,
And you may need some help.

You roll a die,
Do you have luck?
You may get the avatar,
Or lose it with bad luck.

Then when the sun starts peeking,
Count Von Roo hides.
But he'll still be seeking,
Another victim next night.

Losing at Dice-A-Roo
By Primuslune

In the center of Roo Island,
There's a grand castle, they say,
Where one can win prizes
For very little pay.

The journey is long
To see this sight,
But Neopians come from miles
To roll dice into the night.

It so happened on the day
That I'd made the trip myself,
In order to win some Neopoints
Or a trophy for the mantleshelf.

And so I entered the castle
To behold this wondrous sight
Where people gathered for miles
Tossing dice all day and night.

The game was fairly simple,
Or so I was told,
But as I soon learned,
Tragedy could unfold.

I handed over the fee
And tossed the die with delight
Ending as soon as I'd begun,
And giving myself a fright.

Don't worry I thought.
"Only five Neopoints a game!"
And so I tossed the die again,
But the results were the same.

Over and over I played,
Getting a glimpse of blue or green,
But part of me knew,
The silver would never be seen.

I'd just about given up,
Or I wish I could claim,
Because I kept tossing those dice
Yet the results stayed the same.

"Stop!" My Wocky cried.
"This game has gotten dull!
Haven't you lost enough Neopoints?
Your total's nearly null!"

I pondered this for a moment.
There was wisdom in his words.
I was becoming quite exhausted,
And my vision was already blurred.

"Have it your way," I replied,
And I handed the dice back to the king.
We left the island at the moment,
When I saw dawn breaking.

"It's quite late," I murmured,
And in his sleep my Wocky stirred.
"There's time again to play,
Though my winning is quite absurd."

"Your luck is poor," my Wocky muttered,
And I flinched in surprise.
"It's just a game, remember.
You'd needn't play until sunrise."

Gambling isn't addictive.
At least, that's what I say.
But if I don't play again tomorrow,
I'll play another day.
