Barallus's Lullaby
By Ghostkomorichu

The silence is cold, the darkness is deep,
And ev'ry last pris'ner has fallen asleep.
Ev'ry last one, save Barallus the 'bat,
A small little fellow, and crazy, at that.

His king was a ruler of greatest repute
(I speak not of King Skarl, that gluttonous brute)
Barallus lived happily, loyal to the crown,
So what caused Lord Darigan
To shackle him down?

Was it the Orb? Or maybe The Three?
Could he have seen
Something that he shouldn't see?
Maybe he was a leader who was planning a coup,
Or didn't pay to his king
The respect that was due?

Lullaby, lullaby, Barallus, my friend,
One day your king will return once again.
He'll unbind your shackles, and then you'll be free,
Until then, your secret is kept safe with me!

Snowmuncher
By Xllilxlpnoyx

The new game Snowmuncher,
Features a new star, Dieter.
A very special Petpet,
One you won't truly forget.

He moves lightly like a feather,
He'll do so in any weather.
He's quick and climbs so swiftly,
Traveling very freely.

He eats snow that has color,
Even though it lacks flavor
A very hungry Polarchuck,
He tries and tests his luck.

Eating too much, he might get bloated.
A search for a potion, he is very devoted.
His outstanding character is well worth noted.
Full of dedication, a quality covered and coated.

At times, gems are collected.
A treasure that will be protected
With this, Dieter is truly respected.
Thus, a distinctive quality is reflected.

Wurms stuck in ice, he may come across,
A very dangerous situation that may have its cost
A quick escape is a must,
The poor little creature must quickly adjust.

Certain blocks may be eaten
But Mr. Dieter can't be beaten.
Blocks and blocks of ice may fall,
A quick runaway motion, he will crawl.

Inevitably, blocks will fall on him,
Causing his vision to slightly dim.
Dizziness may then occur
Birds going in circle may concur.

South, east, and west he moves,
Being speedy and agile, he proves.
Time allotted may be limited.
The creature's effort must be appreciated.

No matter what, he keeps on fighting,
His goal and journey is truly exciting.
Perseverance he starts showing,
Success and triumph is ongoing!

Fire on the Water
By Schefflera

Daedelon, a fiery steed
Burns across Neopia's seas
Born of fire and waterfall,
Blessed by faerie hand and art.

Blazing-bright he'll come at need,
Answer to a hero's pleas.
Aid is given at the call
From the one who's true of heart.

If you call him, take you heed:
This is not a ride of ease.
Swiftly through the waves' high wall,
Hold his mane tight from the start.

If you hold the hero's creed,
You from peril fierce he frees;
Still he brooks no rein or stall --
Spume and steam are all his part.

Daedelon, the magic steed,
Born of water, fire he breathes,
Fierce and free, he'll carry all
Trusting him and true of heart.

Song of Dung
By Ghostie5

How tragic, aye, to be some dung,
started there in Pick Your Own,
lying there, concealed in wait,
where valuable plants have grown.
Finally, a hand reached out,
I was plucked up from the ground,
I had hoped for joyous face,
but frown and groan was what I found.

The user brought me home, although
she clearly wished that she had not,
I languished there, among her stuff,
forgotten, lying there to rot.
I feared to stay, forevermore,
near sludge and NT issue 3,
but finally, she sold her stuff,
and I believed that I was free.

I was sold for 1 NP,
the shame of it was greater still
when after weeks and weeks and weeks,
I was the only item left in the till.
My freedom was not quite yet to be,
but I had another shot,
once again, a yard sale came,
and finally this dung was bought.

I had hoped for peace and joy,
for my new owner loved me so,
she had so much dung,
I expected never to go
to any other home at all,
although I once had traveled far,
I had a nice and happy home
until she got her avatar.

Then I was discarded, yes,
I vanished then without a sound
I nearly cried, I nearly screamed,
I nearly bayed just like a hound,
until I saw just where I was,
a haven of trash just great for me,
that is when I realized
that dung is what I want to be.

If you want to join me here,
there is room for many more,
just enjoy the simple things
and love to live with dung galore!

The Jelly Chia
By Burritoloco

Way up on a dark hill
Is a chocolate factory
Enter, if you will
And you may see the Jelly Chia.

Created by a man, Wizzle was the name
He made his new jelly friend
To try to get riches and fame.

Both of them became buddies
Playing and reading all the time
Together they would study
Their time spent was sublime.

But one day, Wizzle was with his jelly pet
When he approached his Chia, hungry
The Jelly Chia looked at him, their eyes met
So the Chia enveloped him in a hurry.

The Jelly Chia still bounces around
In the shadows of the factory
He moves around, doesn't make a sound,
And you'll have to squint to see him.

So now all Neopians stay away
From the abandoned factory
They try not to think about that scary day
Don't go near, if you ask me.
