BATTLE FAERIE DAY SPECIAL

Ode to the Battle Faerie
By Skycrowmor

Clad in green with violet hair,
In the Darigan Citadel or Snowager's lair,
There darts a faerie with emerald eyes,
The Battle Faerie, zooming through the skies!

Brandishing swords of fire and ice,
Slashing them forward; once! Twice!
Vanquishing Neopia's greatest foes,
Dr. Sloth or the Black Pteri that crows.

Carrying a shield of purple and green,
And eyes shadowed with an eager gleam,
Whenever a war is about to break out,
The Battle Faerie descends
With a cry and a shout!

She'll knock the pants off the infamous Pant Devil,
And still fly away perfectly level.
Whenever he hears her, even Dr. Sloth shakes
And Meuka himself, his legs start to quake!

Regularly saving our Neopets from danger,
Though to most of them
She is nought but a stranger,
Where would we be without this noble faerie?
Neopia's evil should better be wary...

A Villian's Tale
By Tancutty

Out of the horizon
A new sun has arisen;
But what is this?
With it comes a lady fair;
In a violet mist of wavy hair,
So slight in figure, so slight,
So apt to weaken under my might.

Approaching, I suppress a grin,
Thievery made me a fiend;
I dreamed of diamonds, dreamed of gold,
My greed has turned me cunning and bold.
There is no one else in sight,
Now's the time for me to strike!

Too late I realised, too late!
My greed had led me to my fate!
A blade flashed, with it my self;
The price paid, she walked away.
As I felt the touch of cold,
I realised it's the Battle Faerie of old!

So repent villians, before it's too late,
Or such as mine will be your fate!

Ballad of the Battle Faerie
By Anjie

Upon a dank and hallowed 'eve
Where winds did howl and blow,
A faerie wandered out alone,
To someone none will go.

A forest, eerie, cast in black,
Her foe there did await,
A faerie, dark of heart and mind,
Her soul so filled with hate.

Our heroine? A faerie, small,
With violet, trailing hair.
So brave to walk this path alone,
When others would not dare.

They met within the shadowed trees,
The dark one laughed, so cold.
She knew without the secret swords,
Her victory would hold.

So long ago, a similar fight,
And darkness won and reigned,
For light to conquer her this time,
Those swords first must be gained.

The faerie, small, gazed all around,
And thought, "I can't fail now!"
She knew she had to get the swords,
The question was "but how?"

She swore she would protect the world,
Neopia, she'll save.
She cried, "I want to help defend!"
She held her stance, so brave.

The sky did shine, the swords appeared,
She clutched them in each hand.
And in the name of battle, then,
She took a valiant stand.

Her foe glared, angry, and had lost,
But as she took to flight,
She cried, "You have not won just yet!"
And fled into the night.

Our heroine, alone at last.
She stood, so proud and tall.
She was the Battle Faerie, now!
The bravest of them all!

Emerald Eyes
By Sparkly_fairy_dust

She stands, towering mighty tall,
The bravest faerie of them all,
A dagger clutched in her hand,
Ready to swoop upon command.

I hear her voice among the other cries,
Those beautiful sparkling emerald eyes.

Her wings quiver, a golden blaze,
Her face holds a solemn gaze,
Dazzling green is her cape,
From her a warrior has no escape.

Such a scheme no other can devise,
They hold me in a trance: emerald eyes.

Her hair flows in purple locks,
Fists clenched as solid as rocks,
The Battle Faerie moves her head,
A move all soldiers come to dread.

I watch as her eyebrows slightly rise,
Those captivating emerald eyes.

The faerie is brave and sincere,
A fighting spirit many Neopets fear,
But behind this she's so very kind,
Fighting for peace and the good of mankind.

The opposing team are in for a surprise,
When they meet the glint of those emerald eyes.

Presenting the Battle Faerie
By Kushbi

A sudden gust whips up windstorm,
And threatening clouds, above they form.
Flash of lightning strikes the ground,
As thunder echoes all around,
To battling, this faerie is bound.

Clad in armour of jaded hue,
She wields a sword as tough as steel,
Her movements agile, quick to deal
Decisive blows upon her foes,
Banishing them to wallow in woe.

The battle faerie protects the weak,
Challenging those who pester the meek,
Administering justice swift,
Not fame, nor glory does she seek,
Preserving honour, her only wish.

Vibrant, powerful, her aura glows,
Intimidating, tough and bold,
This faerie stands out from the rest,
Always placing her strength to the test,
Ever emerging as the best.
