Scare of the Scorchio By Whitejester

A Scorchio wandered the Haunted Woods
looking for his siblings.
He heard the Esophagor roar
and almost fell to his knees.
A Starry Kau mixed brews and potions
that popped and boomed.
The shrieks of Korbats playing in the trees
above his head scratched at his brain.
Passing by a mutant Blumaroo on the way
he asked if he'd seen the siblings
but all he got was, "Must fetch item..."
The giant Brain Tree asked him for information
and the Scorchio ran off in a hurry.
A witch mixed something awfully foul
that made awfully foul noises.
He heard a crack of trees behind him
but nothing was there to be seen.
He sat on a stump for a bit of rest
when a Spyder came crawling up his arm
causing the Scorchio to scream with fright.
Then the siblings, Zafara and Kougra,
emerged from the forest in hysterics
and reclaimed their Petpet Spyder.

Jhudora the Dark Faerie By Appaloosagirl01

There is a green mist around me,
As I cackle through the night.
My eyes show pure evil
As I fill you with fright.

You silly pests, you Neopians,
Accepting quests from me.
If you don't fulfill your duty
It'll be the last of daylight you'll see.

Buy a Bitten Apple,
And bring it to me now!
You have all but 15 minutes;
That's all I will allow!

Hey, catch, you piece of scum!
It's a Poisonous Lollipop.
It might sicken your poor pet
Or make its heart stop (not really)!

Everything you get me
Makes a deadly, potent potion.
Or, maybe, does it really?
It might make sun lotion!

So be careful when you come to me.
I'm MUCH worse than I look.
My eyes will hypnotize you.
I've got you on a hook!

The Dreads of NeoPhobia By Satune

I'd booked special reservations
For a Neopet holiday,
A great big check I had to pay.
I thought it would be great for my little treasure,
It'd give him joy and lots of pleasure.

I packed his bags, and sent them to the hotel,
It wasn't some cheap, lousy motel.
But alas, my darling wouldn't budge,
I couldn't tempt him with chocolate fudge.

He hid under the table on the floor,
Not a twitch of the nose, or a flick of a paw.
It was obvious and it was true,
He had NeoPhobia, I knew.

I summoned a doctor and he agreed,
He had it to the highest degree.
It was even hard to drag him
From under the table,
I feared that he wouldn't be stable.

The doctor said to let him know,
If it got any worse and it had to go.
I threw his food out the window
To see if he'd move,
On the floorboards,
his claws made little grooves.

He wouldn't go outdoors and play,
Even on his all time favourite, Kougra Day.
When his friends came 'round he wouldn't leave,
His furry body, I couldn't heave.

In the end, I called for Doctor TechoChee,
Who shook his head and muttered to me.
He gave me the remedy,
But they were expensive as can be.

I had to take out a loan from my bank,
To buy this thing, my heart sank.
I took them home to my beloved pet,
He put them on and out he stepped!

He was better, I was pleased,
No longer was he mocked and teased.
I was so happy that he was cured,
And not stuck at home, bored.

So I thank the Step Out Shoes,
For curing my pet, and not making him blue.

Life By The Plain By Abercrombiechick73

The clouds lifted,
but still the night stood.
The moon's light glazed the waters edge,
when the Peophins emerged
from the depths of their jeweled world.

Pteris flooded the purple sky
when the sun broke through the darkness...
a thumping roar came from the dense, dark forest...
out came an Eyrie, wings blowing in the wind
and beak shimmering in the bright sun.

Down to the waters edge it went to fish.
Staring up, before him
were Unis running across the plain,
horns shining brightly and tails whipping wildly,
they took off in a dance of the new day.

The Shadow Usul By Darkjester17

As I stepped through the darkness,
I began to feel another presence.

At once, I knew she was there,
From the sudden chill in the air.

I turned slowly to face my oppressor,
But only saw deep shadows there.

"Come out and face me!" I shouted out,
Not quite sure what it was all about.

But when the sword was gone that I'd drew,
Her identity was clear, I knew exactly who.

I turned around and to the Battledome I went,
I knew that it would be her tent.

I entered the arena, expecting a fight,
It was apparent that my assumption was right.

She stood there before me, ready to duel,
I shouted to her, "Now I'll win, Shadow Usul!"
